By the way:

The recording was first posted online by the Enquirer. It was unclear who recorded the conversation or how the tabloid obtained the 1 1/2-minute clip in which Chapman uses the N-word six times. A woman at the Enquirer said no one would be available to comment after hours.

Isn't recording someone's words without their permission illegal?

I do not rejoice at this news.

Shalom Nebula,

Who is rejoicing? That is a wrong judgment of someone's motives.

For what will happen to me if the Lord calls my sin to account in the same way?

Hopefully, you will be humbled and repent.

What of you?

Did you not read my post where I answered this?

Again, it is wrong to assume evil motives in sharing this news, it is important!

No, I am not judging your motives.

However, like Dave, I was saddened to hear the news, not glad. The "Yay" in the title sunk my heart.

Shalom Nebula,

Yes, according to Hawaiian law, it IS illegal to record and release this conversation. And Dog can sue whoever recorded it. However, he was talking with his son at the time.

The title of this thread says, "Yay!!!"

If that is not rejoicing, what is it? ;)

Shalom,

Actually accusing someone of rejoicing IS wrongly judging heart motives.

The term "YAY" is for the work of G-d. It is helpful to ask rather than to judge.

Shalom Nebula,

NOW you ask??? A little late. And then you judge in the same post???

Please take the time to read and not judge. I've answered this twice.

Grace to you,

I have a question though about rejoicing over a professed brothers fall.

Are you sure that this isn't an action of the Lords Holy Spirit allowing Dawgs true nature to be revealed so that he has no choice now exposed but to deal with it.

How many of us would want the reality of our personal sin so Nationally exposed?

I have seen many examples of this lately with those who are celebrity's.

Mel Gibson makes a simply amazing film about Christ. However there seems to be many skeletons in his closet when it comes to replacment theology and his feelings towards Jews. Gibson even speaks openly in interviews about the film and of how the enemy was there keeping them from completeing the film on time. Then a few years later he is caught in his own sin publically exposed for being a drunk and exposed for his hatred of the Jews. He publically repents and only God knows his heart. Yet it has been exposed.

Sylvester Stallone openly professes a renewed interest in his Faith and openly embraces Christ in his last Rocky film. A big hit by the way. Then a few months later he is caught in a Foreign country in a Steroid smuggling scandal. :emot-hug: Could this be the action of the Holy Spirit exposing him and drawing him closer to Christ?

How about Dawg? He openly professes Christ and prays openly on his show. However he has a foul mouth and has been exposed for it not only on his show but to a much deeper extent now in his private conversations. He even expressed that he was concerned about the 30 years of a creer he has built up. Maybe God is calling him to accountability even now. Should we then rejoice at his fall? Or praise God that the Lord is leading this brother in not much of a different way than He does some of us?

Ever say something you would and should regret? Ever been called to accountability for it? I'm not justifying his actions. I am asking if we should rejoice obver the fall or the correction?

Know you not this?

Please take the time to read and not judge. I've answered this twice.

I did read what you responded, and it still does not make sense to me. To me, "Yay!!!" only means one thing. If you want to accuse me of judging your motives, fine. From my perspective, I am simply interpreting what was written. "Yay!!!" is an expression of excitement, indicating rejoicing.

I apologize, but I fail to see how, "Yay!!!" is not rejoicing.

Shalom Nebula,

Then yes, you are wrongly judging a Christian's motives and that is SIN.

Since you are not G-d, you have no right to judge my heart motives. Your "apology" is false since you refuse to rescind your judgment.

I have explained what "Yay" means, but you refuse to accept the truth. That again, it sin for it judges what you do not know.

Think what you want. You are not to judge my heart motives, period, since you cannot possibly know them.

The Bible states clearly that ALL things hidden will be exposed. That is what happened. Like it or not, it is G-d at work. This is an answer to my prayer for Dog Chapman.

You and I have nothing else to say to one another. You cry for mercy for Dog, but you dish out judgment! That is hypocritical. Take a look at your own sin before you accuse others.
