Depends on your defifition of generation. There are four different living generations in my family at present, my generation, my childrens, my grand children any my grt grand children. My oldest sister is 88 and my youngest GRT grandson is 1.

Lets look at this somewhat scientifically.

We know from DNA evidence that we, meaning our species, have been around for about 200,000 years and originated in sub-saharan Africa.

Its safe to say that Jesus will return at some point before we go extinct as a species. The median amount of time our predecessors made it before going extinct was about 1.2 million years. So that gives us about 1 million years left. So we can say with some degree of certainty that Jesus will return at some point in the next 1 million years (give or take approximate 250,000 years).

So then we need to look at the odds of Jesus returning in any one generation. So we need to look at average life expectancies. For our first 190,000 years, we were hunter gatherers. At that time, our average life expectancy was about 40. Around 10,000 years ago we moved to a more agricultural society, at that point our average life expectancy declined to about 34. As civilizations were built and advanced, life expectancy went up to the early 40s again, and in the last century has gone up to nearly 80 in the developed world. We can safely assume that life expectancy will continue to grow with medical advancements until it plateaus at about 110 or so.

So, when calculating the odds of Christ's return during any one generation, we have to account for changes in life expectancy, generational overlap, and the estimated amount of time we have left as a species. So, I wrote a basic function to do so, and calculated the odds of Jesus returning in our lifetime is very approximately 1 in 23076. The odds improve somewhat as life expectancy increases.

So, anyone that thinks they will see the end of the world in their lifetime, or if your pre-millennial, the tribulation, has about a 1 in 23076 of being right. I am going to go with 600,000 years from now. I think that gives me slightly better odds.

This has nothing to do with ''my''decisions we all will be here for the tribulation unless we're dead b4 it starts.

Unless you are saying for me to kill myself then it is not my decision at all.

It is all about God's timing.

Of course I'm not saying for you to kill yourself.

But why do you say we will be here for the tribulation when the bible says we won't be?
