The story of Corrie ter Boom will always be very special to me...lets remember the great things she did for the Lord :t2:

Corrie Ten Boom

The Joy-Filled Life

"'Follow me,' a young girl in an officer's uniform said to me. I walked slowly through the gate, never looking back. Behind me I heard the hinges squeak as the gate swung shut. I was free, and flooding through my mind were the words of Jesus to the church at Philadelphia: 'Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it . . . '" (Revelation 3:8)

On December 28, 1944, after ten months of incarceration in concentration camps, Corrie Ten Boom was free. She had lost her father and beloved sister to the horrors of Nazi death camps. Gaunt, filthy, and weak, Corrie made her way to the railway station and boarded a train for a three-day journey home to Holland.

She later found out that an order had been given at the end of that very week to kill all women her age and older. An error in prison paperwork was the catalyst God used to release her.

The Ten Booms, all devout Christians, had provided a hiding place in their home for persecuted Jews during World War II. Corrie, who was fifty-nine at the time of her arrest, was placed in an isolation cell for the first few weeks of her imprisonment. Depression and the struggle to maintain a sense of hope consumed her.

"Only to those who have been in prison does freedom have such great meaning. When you are dying

Hi Angels,

Thank you very much for this very timely post. I am going through some struggles in my own life at the moment and God spoke to me through this message.

I really liked the "God has plans, not problems" for our lives, Amen, Praise God.

As I begin to meditate on this, I am sure God will use this to help me in my current state. I needed this message and I hope that others take the time to read it as well. There are words of encouragement in it, which it seems I am not alone in my need of encouragement.

God Bless

In Jesus

Kevin

Shilo and Kevin

I am Dutch and she is very well known all over the world, its amazing what she and her sister did in the war and how the Lord protected her and her sister.

Did you ever read her books and how they were hiding Jews?

Her Dad was a very special man too and they feared the Lord.

There were lots of people those days who were hiding Jews in the war.

I'm pround to say that Holland always loved and helped the Jewish people

God Bless, Angels

Here are pictures from the concentration camp, about 6 million people died and alot of people died on their way to the concentration camps many people didn't even know they were going to a concentration camp.

Corrie ter Boom was a very special lady and the Lord was with her all during the war and many people came to know the Lord through her and her sister.

She was reading the bible to the people around her in the concentration camp.

God didn't lots of miracles through her and our God is still the same.....

Let's not forget......

One of my personal traditions durnig the week of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Rembrance Day), is to watch the Hiding Place. She and her sister were truly amazing women, and I KNOW that their reward in Heaven is greater than great.

The world must NEVER forget...

Yes I'm Dutch and I'm going next week to The Netherlands until April 15 to see my Mom ,her health is not good and if I don't go now I'm afraid I might not see her again. If you happened to think of me, please pray that everything goes well and that I'm able to talk to her---she was in the hospital, her kidneys didn't work and she had fluid around her heart and lungs, her heart is not good and they can't do anything about it.

thanks, Angels

Shilo, we have the movie "The Hiding place' and I believe that everbody should see it at least ones.

Angels,

I will be praying for you and your mother.

Yes, I think that everyone should see "The Hiding Place." One way I minister to fellow Jews is by honoring those who died as a result of Hitler's madness. As I honor their relatives, it gives us a common bond. Sometimes, they are more willing later on to listening about my faith, because they know that I am still a Jew, and that I will die as Jew. Jesus did not take my Jewishness away from me, but rather has enabled me to be a better Jew and a better person.

Believe me, they see that. Jews do not listen to what you say, until they have seen how you act. Judaism is a very deeds oriented religion. They pay attention to how you act. They do not watch your actions, rather they watch your reactions. They know that anyone can plan their actions, but they cannot plan their reactions.

Nonverbal witnessing goes way farther than anything you can say when it comes to reaching Jewish people.

It doesnt take some grandiose display either. Sometimes, it is simple things that mean the most. For example, if you live near Jewish family, and you hear that they have had a death in the family, take them a nice bouquet of flowers and a card. I would not suggest food, because of the complicated dietary laws involved. It is the gesture that counts. You have shown them that you care. Sometimes God uses the simple, thoughtful gestures to touch lives.

I guess I am rambling, but my point is that Corrie, and her sister Betsie, showed the Jewish people what true Christianity was. They payed the ultimate price, but they serve as examples to us all.

Holocaust remembrance day also remembers the sacrifices of some 5,000 Christians who died or were tortured for hiding and/or aiding in the escape of thousands of Jews from Europe during the years of Hitler's insanity.

When is it?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
