And what about forest fires? Ah - but starting forest fires is illegal. What I mean to imply is when are the environmentalists going to demand an end to campfires? But wait a minute . . . do not many environmentalists like to camp? Would they sacrifice their camfires for the environment? Well technically burning wood is carbon neutral. You release carbon when the wood burns, but the trees that re-grow inhale the carbon as they grow. That said, most enviros practice leave no trace ethics when backpacking and wilderness camping, thus they tend to not use camp fires.

Sister, I'm wondering what they will do when the Lord burns up the creation in fervent heat? Talk about a huge carbon footprint, how will He afford the tax? They will just force Him to pay with our built up treasures, 2000 years of tithing might just be enough to cover it.
Guest
Sister, I'm wondering what they will do when the Lord burns up the creation in fervent heat? Talk about a huge carbon footprint, how will He afford the tax? :24: Good one! It reminds me of that passage in Revelation about "power being given to the sun to scorch men with fire." Sounds a little like Global Warming, doesn't it? Like it could get really hot! Then there's always the "catastrophic remodel" you mentioned. That will definitely have a "carbon foot-print" all right! Guest Biblicist
Wegner said he did not consider the campaign anti-religious. The unlit candle could be the shamash, which is not required for the mitzva, he said. But he said he would encourage people who do not keep mitzvot not to light a hanukkia at all for environmental and educational reasons. I'm thinking this is a large pile of buffalo chips...BULL PUCKY, I SAY! What about the churches, of other denominations, that have candles burning constantly? This has Anti-Semitism written all over it!

" Yeah guys, (all) liberal environmentalists are infallible, they can do no wrong. They (all) huddle around glowsticks and eat tofu cereal bars with organic wrapping and sleep in beds made of straw and hemp sleeping bags and keep themselves warm with chemical heatpacks. "no need for another miracle", the man said? Sheesh.....there's ALWAYS a need for a miracle....this is just really stupid. Another way for environmentalist wackos to attack. Just my five cents--inflation, ya know. Anita

If God feels the need to personally interject in a manner witnessed by thousands, then there is a need to do so. We could all use a few more miracles.
