Adstar has posted many passages in regard to what I am speaking of. To start with, see what the prophets say about the coming of the Lord. Ask the Lord to give you understanding, just as Daniel did.

Suzanne, why do you keep looking for the Rapture in the OT? Do you think the OT is the only word of God that matters?

The Rapture is revealed in the NT, specifically for the Gentiles, not the Jews. The OT was Jewish. The NT addresses both. Do you not consider either Jesus, Paul or John, true prophets? They all teach about the Rapture.

I'm just asking.

Curious in River City,

Your Brother in Christ,

John

Well, as I said before, I find it interesting that most of the discussion and dialogue on the rapture is taken from a few NT verses, yet there is still SO very much of the OT prophecies that are still yet to take place, we must look at the whole picture/old and the new, to see the full picture.

John,

Being new to this board, I don't know if I included your quote correctly or not.

After reading these posts over, I think there is a lot of misunderstanding about

the different events, what they are and how they will transpire, according to the Word of God.

What I'm seeing here, is scripture relating to the Rapture, The Great Tribulation, The Second Coming of Christ and the Great White Throne Judgement being misunderstood. They are all separate events.

The Anti-Christ (The Man of Perdition) cannot be revealed until Christ takes his Bride, his Church in the Rapture to be with him. That is what is keeping the Anti-Christ from being revealed to us now if he is alive, which I strongly suspect he is. God has a leash on Satan now and only allows Satan to do so much, but when the Rapture takes place, then he will be free to make his appearance. He will have a seven year reign, with the first 3 1/2 years being a time where he is a great peacemaker....then the last 3 1/2 years all hell will break loose. He will be the epitome of evil...surpassing the evil of the Hitler's and the Saddam Hussein's of this world combined. He will be of such a strong influence to those left behind from the Rapture, with the power to convince the world that he himself is the Messiah, that it will be almost impossible for those left here to know the difference.

You are right, there are plenty of NT scriptures to back up the Rapture, as well as OT scriptures also. One being this one:

Matt. 24:40-42:

"Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming"

As to the first coming of Christ, there were many that regarded Jesus as the Messiah..He healed the sick and raised the dead while he was on earth. He had followers that knew he was the Messiah and knew that he had the power to save and heal them, i.e. Mary Magdalene.

In Matthew 14:20; Mark 6:43; Luke 9:17; and John 6:13, Jesus fed 5000 men plus women and children with five small loaves of bread and two small fish. These were the multitudes of people that believed he was the Messiah, so there were those that DID recognize his first coming.

You are right. With the many different interpretations of the scriptures, there will be differences of opinion and of course, I'm sticking to what I believe and won't be swayed in any way.

 Trying my luck with this coding again. I do know a little bit of HTML...but I'll probably hit the Add Reply button and see that it didn't work again. lol

Oh geez John, I've posted on some boards that are a lot worse with the name calling than this one. As of yet on here for me, I haven't seen anyone calling names. Not like what I've seen elsewhere.

I'll have to check out the Post-Trib sites and prayer requests. Being new here, I haven't checked out the whole place.

I can't help but wonder how the Post-Tribbers expect to survive the tribulation.

I'm sure glad we have the Blessed Hope. If I believed I had to hang around on this earth with the Anti-Christ in power, I'd probably just give up.

God Bless ya John :il:

Hello Dad Ernie

Greetings Adstar,

Do you also want to give your interpretation of the verses you provided? Can you provide me an answer to the following?

If, as the pre-tribber says, the sheep are separated from the goats - which is often used to support the pre-trib rapture - then all that are left are goats. So what does a pre-tribber say about these verses:

Well tsth asked us to give her some examples of OT rapture references, the whole point of this thread is to give examples of the rapture in the OT. Dad i am not a pre-trib rapture believer. So i really cannot answer your question. I don't know why this thread is being used as a rapture timing discussion when the request of tsth had nothing to do with rapture timing?

All Praise The Ancient Of Days

Dear KitKat and John,

I think you had better re-read the original request as mentioned above, it is not about what you want to argue about, therefore only causing yourselves to appear contentious. If this dialogue is not one you choose to partake of, you are free to go to another one?

In His Truth,

Suzanne

Suzanne,

Well I guess my hunches have been verified.

You've got me pegged all wrong if you believe that I'm a contentious person.

Jewish religious leaders in the Bible viewed Jesus as a contentious person for healing on the Sabbath Day.

I've done my best here to offer what I could. I don't look to the OT for examples of the Rapture. In my beliefs that doesn't even make sense to me, however I do study the prophets.

I was encouraged when I found this board, because I needed an outlet to help me get through some very tough times I've been going through.

I thought no matter what a person believed or how they interpreted the Bible, as Christians they operated out of love.

Personally, I feel that I am not welcome here at all by you, so I will comply with your wishes.

Dear kitkat,

I merely stated that you were making yourselves "appear" contentious. I did not suggest that you leave Worthyboards, only that you not make this particular thread an argument over rapture timing, as that was not what it is about.

I am sorry that you feel you must leave, I do hope you will stay on at Worthy boards, as it can be a very encouraging place and useful for instruction and exhortation. I merely asked that you not make this particular thread an argument.

In His Love,

Suzanne

Just visit the post-trib sites. They are an ANGRY and accusing bunch. They twist the scriptures to suit their own beliefs. But isn't it understandable? We have HOPE. They look forward to tribulation and persecution. If thats all I had to look forward to, I'd be mad too. But kitcat, we can look forward to, and believe in, The Blessed Hope.

Tell me kitcat, have you gone here to the prayer requests? How many of these "accusers of the brethren"  do you see there? Not many. I wonder why? I think I know why, we're caught up in Love, They're caught up in Doctrine (False Doctrine).

Stay strong Girl, you are loved. :il:

Your brother in Christ,

John

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
