I can't help but feel called down for something, when someone has told me that I may have made myself appear to be contentious. I asked where I had made an argument, (myself) in this thread and got no answer.

Hey, kitkat - it's OK to make mistakes. I mean, we all do. I think one misunderstanding led to another and some things got said that worsened the confusion rather than bring the pieces back together.

You see people who are sorry apologize and then go back and try to make amends by editing their offensive post so that the next reader who decides to read this thread will not reach the same post and be offended. But there is your post still there like a well laid out mine field waiting for the next poor unfortunate to wander in to.

Never heard/thought of that one before.

I always left things because then people reading later would understand what went on/what was said. Sometimes I thought the editing out was weird. There have been other times posters have edited original posts, and it makes the converstion afterwards - the posts responding to it - make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

It's really bad when the OP started something controversial, and then after getting huge reactions goes back and changes the OP. Now, that's annoying!

So, although, Adstar, I can appreciate your opinion on this, I think the judge's finger here is a bit harsh. You know?

I am looking forward to seeing others views on old testament scriptures and current and future events.

There is and old saying that the new is in the old concealed, the old is in the new revealed.

The old and new testaments are one book and really cant be seperated. I really lok forward to contnuing to read the study on old testament scriptures and their relation to the rapture and the day of the Lord. So much can be learned if we give this thread a chance.

Just curious, why is it that we speak of the rapture, only in terms of the NT? Have you ever considered what the prophets say about the 2nd Coming of Christ? I would challenge you to begin looking at the 2nd coming thru the prophets, they haven't missed a beat yet!  And, if they had been trusted about the 1st coming, many wouldn't have missed it.

Back to the original Post...

I usually refer back to the prophetic schedule God has provided us in his Festivals.

May I elabortate a bit? Many of you may have already heard all of this before, so it is old news, but bear with me.

The first three Festivals on God's sacred calendar are a reference to Messiah's first coming Pesach (Passover), Hag Hamatzah (Unleavened Bread), and Bikurim (First Fruits). The Next Festival is Shavuot (Pentecost) which concerns the coming of the Holy Spirit.

The last three Festival deal with the Second coming of Messiah (The feast of Trumpets (Rosh HaShannah) Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), and Sukkot (Tabernacles).

This is a nine month cycle from Passover to Sukkot. You can reference these in Lev. 23. Pentecost occurs 50 days from the Sabbath of unleavened bread, in the late Spring. From that festival there are several months in which no biblical festival takes place until around the middel to end of September in which we find Rosh HaShannah.

That empy period symbolizes the church age. We are in between the first and second comings of Messiah.

The Feast of Trumpets was also known historically in Ancient Israel as "The Day of the Awakening Blast." Today, it is called more familiarly as Rosh HaShannah meaning "Head, or First of the Year.

If the Rapture takes place, I believe that Rosh Hashannah is a good picture of it.

Rosh Hashannah has to do with the coronation of King Messiah, and the wedding of the Messiah. I cannot go into great detail here, but in ancient Israel, weddings were always in the Fall. It has been put forth by some that we will be raptureed and will be present at the coronation of the Messiah, and the Bride will be married to the Messiah just before we return with Him to set up His millenial kingdom.

I present this only as possibiblity of Some OT teaching or at least an allusion. I don't know what all to post until someone asks some questions.

Just so everyone knows, any posts that try to bait me into a rapture timing debate will be completely ignored.
