Well, I just feel useless sometimes, like God has no use for me. I look around at other people on the forums, and I feel like God is using everyone else but me, and that I can't do anything for Him. :33: I want God to be able to do something with me, but I feel like He doesn't want me to, sometimes. I just feel really stupid - and that everyone else knows more about God than I do...I feel a bit heartbroken. Not that I want to give up on God, but I wonder sometimes if He ever takes notice of me? I know that I can use the talents that I have for God, and all the more - but I don't want to be called a false prophet or anything, because I truly and deeply believe Jesus came to Earth in a human body and died, then returned to Heaven after three days (hope I got the days correct). I even wonder sometimes if God wants me to be a dreamer; I am kind of afraid of it, because I see things and stuff that is a bit frightening when it really does happen. I wonder if God knew I was a bit scared and has given me a break or something, or maybe He's waiting for the right time? I don't know...I just wonder if He has any other uses for me...?

Of course He has a use for you ^_^

Sometimes it may even be such a small thing that we wouldn't think that it matters - but it does. Sometimes I imagine that God's work for someone could be something as simple as passing a smile along to others and a friendly hello, or asking someone who looks down if they need some help.

I suggest you pray about this and ask God what He wants for you to do. Until then, the best you can do for God is to follow His word - help others in need, follow his commands, and spread His truth. To me, those things are the most important mission of any Christian.

Near,

this is the time for you to rest in Him and realize He is God and He has a plan for all of us. It is not the plan He has for me or the plan that He has for someone else. If don't have to do something for God to be loved, accepted and He doesn't feel more special toward one child than the other who does these things, because we must realize that He is the one who does it through us.

Get to really know Him, If there are any barriers like sin, etc, ask for Forgiveness. As you sit down to fellowship with the Lord, at a time that works for you, first thing in the morning or before bedtime-whatever works for you. Set aside time for Him. He desires our time- Prior to reading the word of God, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and grasp what He is wanting to tell you. Meditate on the word of God- The word of God is what the spirit man needs for growth and the Holy SPirit will help you along the way. Make sure that you set aside time to worship/praise, spend time in prayer, but also have some quiet time to listen for a still small voice that takes practice to hear. You will grow with leaps and bounds. But, even if you go through periods where it seems slow, if you continue in your fellowship with the Lord, realize you are at the center of where He wants you. He created you for a specific purpose, a specific plan, you won't learn that from comparing yourself to other brother and sisters in the Lord, you will learn that on your face before the almighty. You can have an intimate relationship-that He really desires-where you learn His heart and take on His nature. So that when people see you, they will know you by your fruit and someday, He will require that you produce- In His time and In His plan.

Matthew 6:25-33 (New American Standard Bible)

The Cure for Anxiety

25"For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

26"Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

27"And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

28"And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,

29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.

30"But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

31"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'

32"For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

33"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (This one is most important)

I've been where you were, I was a babe in ministry (I'm not in formal ministry now) and I saw what I thought were giant woman of God, yes the had strong callings, with strong responsibilites-but they God there through prayer and obedience. I couldn't understand, I thought it was unattainable- the I realized, God had different plans for me, He called me to prayer-intercession-not a ministry like theres, but what He wanted me to do, That's all that matters. But back then I remember begging God, ok God, tell me what you want me to do, I felt like I had to do something, I showed up to church, and a lady I never met, turned around and said, you are waiting on confirmation from the Lord, He wants you to know that until that time it is revealed to continue to serve Him. This message came after I learned that God really loves us to worship/praise Him in our private time-then I learned over time that it is powerful-warfare against the enemy, the Lord Loves worship/praise, making time for Him-setting aside time-even if it is a sacrifice sometimes to let Him know what He means to us. I had so much growth back then-that season was awesome.

I'm not trying to tell you to start some formula-but Get to know God better, so that you will hear Him for yourself and know exactly where the shepherd will lead you.

Even if you don't feel it doesn't mean it's not happening, we must walk by faith and not by sight. I tell God, regardless of how I feel, I will serve you today-boy does He show up when I need Him.

Your not a false anything, your human and we have felt simularly. Just know when you continue in fellowship with the Lord, you are in the center of His will. Don't worry if you see your brother run out ahead of you-doing something God called him to-He will have something-not always big, not always small, for all of us and it takes all of us, because we are the Body Of Christ, there may be a day when that brother needs you (through Christ) to pull him out of the mire. So don't get jealous. Make sure to repent of that.

But blessings on your journey with Christ,

Candi

...and that I can't do anything for Him.

Just thinking out loud here...

"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40b

...or you can...

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. 2 Corinthinas 1:10,11a

So can you pray? Simply just seek God on the behalf of the many who are sick, seeking, hungry, in jail, on the front lines...pray for them. :noidea: OFTEN prayer is the BEST weapon against those things that we all struggle with. After all, it is one piece of God's Armor...

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18

May the Lord Bless you richly,

wayne

You know, I've often wondered the same thing about myself. Does God have a use for me? When I'm able to brighten somebody's day just a little bit by taking the time to notice how they seem to be faring, if there is a percieved need I can meet, even if it's just a kind word or two and they respond with a smile of relief and joy, I feel like I have tremendous worth and I share their joy, with interest paid in massive quantities. Of course God loves you, values you, treasures you. Don't ever think otherwise.:noidea:

When Saul was on his way to arrest some Christians, he met Jesus and his life was changed forever (and his name was changed to Paul). Paul was an amazing person who served his Lord faithfully. But before he could go out and do the things that Jesus chose him for he had to take time to learn. That would be a good thing for you to do too....study your Bible and have answers ready for anyone who asks questions.

Other than that there are many things you can do - pray, give of your time to help someone who needs help, be bold in your faith. You never know who is watching you, so be sure that you are a good example of a child of the King. These are a few of the ways you can be used. So often we think that only the "big" things matter to God, but that isn't true. One small act of kindness done in the name of Jesus can plant a seed in a person and get them to seek Jesus. Prayer is "knee-mail". We can always talk to God in prayer and pray for peoples needs.

You can and will be used for God's glory (remember that it is for His glory not yours) if you make yourself available.

OP - I know what you mean but according to scripture -

All believers have at least one spiritual gift (I Cor 12:11).

Also, we're to pray without ceasing. What a privilege it is to pray. Our prayers go before the Lord - Rev 8:4 "And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand."

I'm sure there's more than these 2 things but they both are filled with ministry.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
