I don't care for them either Wayne, and I completely agree with you, give me Antique road Show instead. But.......I wanted to see what the rest of the world is getting fed with, and THAT was it? Yikes! We ought to be looking at what is coming up behind us, in terms of deception. We've got some serious defending of the Truth in front of us.........are we prepared? (I know you are) :o But, we need to be seeing what is on the horizon.

I agree with you sister. In no way did I mean to sound judgemental. I am just growing weary of these things. There is so much of it that I prefer to just pass it by.

Love ya',

Wayne

Greetings Suzanne,

You know, what troubles me even more than a secularist giving their view of the scriptures is a supposed Christian giving theirs, IOW, wolves in sheeps clothing. Sometimes it can be quite hard to discern the bone from the marrow, the soul from the spirit and even the most "spiritual" can be deceived.

I once belonged to a church whose pastor was led astray by a very small clique of ladies. He was led to believe that others in the church "weren't very loving, and were too judgmental", when in fact I know who they were talking about and the questionable lady is a true prophetess and VERY loving AND caring. God brought his church down and the flock scattered to the winds except those who remained "faithful to the pastor", and even those eventually began to see that the pastor was easily led astray into believing false tales and doctrine. I remember on several occasions, as he preached a message, I could sense in the spirit that God had been talking directly to him, but he wasn't listening. He conveyed the message to the people as if it was THEIR problem and not his. My wife and others also began seeing this more and more.

Today we have seemingly fewer and fewer stalwarts in the faith. If one is sensitive to God, then we recognize them, much as the baby in Elizabeth's womb reacted when Mary came to visit - John seemed to jump for joy, and so does our spirit when we hear "the truth".

But others respond as Saul did to David. They would rather kill the messenger than hear the message.

Ah well.... I could go on all day about that...

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Yes Dad Ernie,

They are both disasterous, and I am sorry to say, that many times, it is the women, who are first deceived. That is why God intended for the "men" to be the spiritual leaders of the church. Men........are you listening?

Oh by the way, did anyone else receive the mailout this morning by One Million Moms/Dads?

Dr. Dobson from Focus on the Family was blasting it on Monday too (they had gotten the script beforehand). That was what alerted me not to watch it. Apparently Peter Jennings has done this sort of thing before.

Reminded me of this passage:

Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. 50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

Oh, how I wish you could convey that to the world. Maybe that's why I love you and respect you so much.

For men, it was God that gave Adam the commands and it was his duty to relay those on to his wife. Ahab is a good example of someone NOT TO BE.

For women, we men must understand our place in God's scheme of things, but you can't let that spirit of love and caring cloud your judgment. Eve was cursed with the desire to "rule over her husband", but her husband was to instead "rule over her". Jezebel is a good example of someone NOT TO BE.

In Christ there is a balance of good judgment and also of love, without which neither partner in a marriage can be effective.

We need each other, we each have our roles and the curse is lifted if we BOTH learn to operate together in unity instead of one trying to be the dominant figure. MEN KNOW YOUR PLACE! WOMEN KNOW YOUR PLACE TOO!

The scriptures are very interesting. The man is COMMANDED to LOVE His wife. The wife is COMMANDED to HONOR her husband. What this shows is the difference between each ones make-up psychologically.

I think I can say with some authority, that men, as a rule operate by their senses - eyes and ears, whereas women operate from their emotions. Each has to be considered in a good marriage.

Keep up the good work Suzanne. We love ya.

Dad Ernie

One of the most dangerous deceptions is to portray Jesus as just another man, and I think that is just what Jenning's was trying to do. Here is a good rebuttal of last night's television program:

http://www.pfm.org/Content/ContentGroups/B..._the_Week18.htm

The gist of it is that the physical resurrection is what proves to all that Jesus was God. Under the ultimate threat of horrible death, NOT ONE of Jesus's followers cracked and gave-in to say that the resurrection was false. Even Paul, who had not seen it, knew that he had encountered the resurrected Jesus on the road to Damascus. Colson contrasts this with Watergate, and the way that Nixon's "apostles" cracked quickly and gave up their leader. "The fact is that people will give their lives for what they believe is true, but they will never give their lives for what they know is a lie. The Watergate cover-up proves that the twelve most powerful men in modern America couldn't keep a lie and that twelve powerless men two thousand years ago couldn't have been telling anything but the truth."

"We serve a RISEN savior, He's in the world today". That is the Truth, and that is what people like Peter Jennings is so afraid of and NEED to discredit. Lets not let them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
