it took me a long time to learn how to love and finally it happened, WHEN it happened it was too intense, SO intense that i decided that love was not an emotion it was a sickness. i hope i never feel that way again, i love my daughter and i love god and im fine with that.

as for whether or not i've ever felt loved, believe me lol i do now.

Do You Truly Know You Are Loved?

And What Difference Would This Knowledge Have Made In The Way You Lived Your Life?

This is a great question. The biblical pattern seems to be that when we understand the love God has for us, it will revolutionize the way we treat others.

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love. God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His One and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him. Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also must love one another.

If We really knew Gods Love for us we would drop everything we do and tell everyone we could about this love. I am guilty of not doing this but am changing my thinking.

I even think that if we do not do this we do not really believe this in our heart, his Love! It's real its undiscribable and without question the most real thing on this planet! What greater Love we have then Lay down our very Life for our brother Just as God has done for us in Jesus his only Son!

I have the head knowledge that I am loved beyond measure, but has it really got to my heart? :taped: Maybe not as much as I would like it to do.

If I really knew that I was loved my actions, at times would be so different to what they can be;my emotions too would be very different.

Sadly, I have to admit that I have a long way to go.

I tend to have a very hard time with God's love. I know where it comes from, and I am really trying hard to change my thinking and my heart. It just doesn't seem to be very easy:>) I do feel that I could be so much more than I am. I don't witness to others, but I also don't judge because I have been judged my whole life. (not by my friends, they seem to like me well enough:>)

I do the best I can to keep a pure heart and to love others. But it is myself I have a hard time loving, along with one other person in my life...I do deal with depression and I know that it stems from guilt...but the guilt comes from so far back in my past that I shouldn't allow it to affect me the way it does. Oh, I don't know. Without writing a book and without posting what I would feel would be too much information it is hard to explain:>)

It's funny because all my life I have avoided thinking about certain issues. Believing that if it is in the past LEAVE IT THERE. What I am finding out is that is can and will effect the way you live, and the way you see God eventually.

When I first gave my heart to Jesus I knew His great love for me because I knew He died for me and I experienced the great joy of forgiveness of sins and being born again. Each time I read my Bible I know His love for me is endless because He says so, and each time I take communion as a memorial of what He did for us at calvary, I am reminded of His great love for me.

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

1 John 4:19

We love him, because he first loved us.

Ephesians 2:4

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

BUT THEN, after some years with the Lord, The Master Potter put me on His wheel. He had to strip some things out of my life and begin to mold me into the image of Christ. Being on the "shaping wheel" is a tough place to be, and yet, each time I would surrender to His will and His hand I would see more of Him and His love beginning to blossom in my life.

1 Thessalonians 4:9

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

THEN as I went through times of chastening and correction, though it was not easy, a wonderful reverance for the Father began to shape my life and my will. I messed up on more than one occassion, but He drew me with His loving hand closer to Him and He showered me with much undeserved grace.

Hebrews 12:6

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

THEN, when our enemy, the devil would go on one of his rampages, though I went through some extreemly hard places and battles, the Lord's promises never failed me and as I learned to cling to them I realized His love even more and the knowledge that every word of God is a mighty sword that defeats our enemy, not only when we swing it at him, but when we stand on it like the Lord said.

Romans 8:39

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us

His love is unfailing. His love is deeper than we can grasp at times. And His love propells us forward even when we think we have no strength, He always comes through with a word to lead us homeward. I will never forget the first time I knew He would use unusual ways to encourage us in His word when we were struggling. I was feeling bad about myself one day and the devil was pointing his ugly finger at me with accusations from my past...I went outside to get in my car and there on the ground was a piece of sheet music. I cannot express in words how I felt when I read the words there. Words that gave me strength to press on and cling to the knowledge that Jesus loves me.

The word on that page went like this:

He's still working on me, to make me what I ought to be. It took Him just a week to make the sun and moon, earth and stars and Jupiter and Mars. How loving and patient He must be. He's still working on me.

I realized His love for me. He now is still in the working on me process as He shapes my life from glory to glory. If I had this knowledge years ago I would not have waisted so many years of my life on things in this world that are just temporary fixes to try to fill that void in our souls that only Jesus can fill.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
