Hi, Faithless.

You know, I thought that I was too 'intelligent' to believe in God.

I'm so glad that He believed in me.

He came into my kitchen and spoke to me (and it did seem like an audible voice).

He told me "I'm your Father".

I can't adequately describe the experience, but the feeling of warmth and love was almost too much to handle.

Afterward, I felt like my mind had been opened.

I knew that the whole 'thing' was true (even Noah's ark).

God isn't a good luck charm, and life is still hard, but I know that I have a glorious hope and future.

And not only me, but millions of others. All those who rely on Jesus' righteousness, even those who lived before His sacrifice was fulfilled; who lived their lives with humbleness, acknowledging God and not trying to be god by living to serve and to please themselves.

I pray that God will reveal Himself to you and that He will heal the pain that is causing you to be so angry at Him.

Please start reading the Bible. (Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.) There are modern translations and I promise you, it is not boring.

Through the Bible, you have the option of eternally changing your name from faithless to faithfull.....I pray you do....

Senerhu... Awesome!!!

Faithless, remember, the Bible is NOT a book. It is a collection of 66 books by 40 different authors spanning a couple of thousand years.

faithless,

You say time and time again that you do not believe. Yet you blame God for all the ills in the world.

You have said to me that it is Gods fault for making us weak. In my weakness He is Glorified.

Why not just set the world straight right now? This you have asked. Well you see because He is just and Righteous He already has. The way to His Kingdom is thru Jesus Christ. Always has been. Even before Adam fell He prepared a way. Jesus was on cue. You find fault with the way God has decided to run the Creation. You have decided that He just set it in motion and left. I tell you He is Just and Righteous . Responsible for His Creation. He is involved in the intimate details day to day. Even in the way He has brought you here.

Even prior to what you call religion. You have stated that prior to Christianity there were other religions. I state that Christinaity has always been. The way to the Lord has always been Faith. God is the same , yesterday, today , and tomorrow.

Back of the cross to the present on to the future. Jesus Christ was, is, and will be the only way by Faith!

He has ordained it thus. That even if you never believe?(Which is doubtful for I have seen His Glory on this thread.) You will Glorify His name. See that's not what He wants though. He wants to have intimacy with His Creation. That intimacy must come from your own free will. Then it is born of dependance and Love. He takes great joy in our calling on Him. He takes great joy in your questioning. :il: He's not a God that is afraid of your questions. He's not a God that needs to reprove Himself. He exists whether you believe or not. You must substantiate your claims. Yet He is still there. In defiance of your very argument. He even is Righteous enough and sure enough .That He provides the fuel and existance for your argument. Whilst you saw off the very branch upon which you stand. That is how Righteous and sure He is. That He would allow dissent. For the dissent doesn't define Him. It Glorify's Him! It points out how Just and Righteous He is.

Now this is magnificent. He set the whole Creation alive with His very power. He spoke it into existence. He is intimately involved in every way with it. Yet in the workings of this not one hair falls that He doesn't know about. Not one sparrow falls. Still and all there is Free will for man. Man in all his sin and disgrace cannot wreck His plan. He will be Glorified. By the inherent quality He has built into man. That quality being Free will. He will be Glorified. Either in choice to worship Him or choice to not. He will be Glorified. By that quality you call a flaw. That same quality will be a tool of His Glory. Therefore I look at it not as a flaw but a great and grand design. One that in my weakness was the capacity to know God. By Faith! In Jesus Christ. Who was, is ,and is to come!

To know God intimately. Thru my weakness that was His strategy from the begining. :il:

Peace,

Dave

In my view of the universe, there is no God, no moral structure, no justice. No one is looking out for you, and no one cares what happens to you. All life is inherently worthless and without meaning. It's depressing, it makes me want to cry, it makes me want to kill myself. But at least in this vision I'm not a slave. I don't have to bow down in front of a master and pray for him, like a powerless slave. And that means everything to me, because while I may view my life as worthless, at least I'm not powerless. Like I've already said to catsmeow, If I ever find out that everything I stood for was wrong, I would rather commit suicide than worship like a slave. God can do what he wants to me in the after life, but I won't bow down to him in this life.

But hopefully I'll turn out to be right, and when I die I'll just remain a forgotten memory instead of being tortured for eternity.

I now realize that coming here was a mistake. It's not your fault, you guys were good, this place just isn't for people like me.

Take care,

faithless

faithless,

No slavery. The right to be an heir. To be free.A member of Gods house. Thru His Mighty Grace. You see you already exist in His physical blessing. Now you can exist as His son.

You are right you weren't made for all this. You were made for eternity. You were made for His Love. Not to worship as a slave. But to worship as a son. A prince in His house. In Love.

You see all that you feel bad about? He will free you from. Hope! Thru a selfless act of Love on Gods part. A crimson invitation with your name on it. It says , "I Love you son!" "I desire that you be free form this guilt."

You are powerless. You are not worthless! You are very precious to God. :il: He will set you free and make you a diamond in the rough. Then you will not be powerless for the power He will impart to you is the same with which He created the universe. He will be your hope!

He is waiting friend. :il: Hands extended to Love you unconditionally. To fill you with Hope! To bring your life meaning! :il:

Peace,

Dave

For the first time in my life, Dr. Luke, I have experienced a taste of the sorrow God must feel for His lost sheep....

Faithless, I pray for you! I pray that you never forget us and that you come back! I pray that satan stops making a slave of you and that through Jesus you find the freedom you so desperatly seek.... :prayer

God is the most valuable being in the universe. He is worthy of our love and adoration. He commands us to repent and obey since this is the most freeing and intelligent thing we can do. It is for our good and His glory. It is a love relationship. We are slaves to self and Satan without Him. Choose today whom you will serve (Joshua). "It may be the devil, or it may be the Lord, but you gotta serve somebody." (Bob Dylan Slow Train Coming album)

Alas! Faithless is a mirror of myself twenty years ago and I can only pray that God will find him as He did me, when I wasn't even thinking about Him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
