I for one, am one whom for alot of my life have been misunderstood- too skinny, too nice, my pile of stones etc .And am so very tired of being judged when others have' their own planks of wood in their eyes' and also their ' own pile of stones too'.

How does being judged affect you or not affect you- :24: .

As Christians, we have a collective responsibility to judge certain areas of the lives of our brethren. It is our duty as the Church to judge sin. The scripture "Judge not, lest ye be judged," refers to judging motives. Look at the context of the passage. In context, it is quite clear. The problem with judging is the motive behind the judgment. Christian judgment should be done in love. It should never be done in anger, or with a holier than thou attitude. If one truly loves his brother, he will desperately long to see his brother live a Christ centered life. All judgment should be done in Love. When someone judges in love, it is always welcomed by me; whether I agree with them or not. When someone judges from a postion of arrogance and piousness, I do not accept it at all.

 Paul taught the Corinthians to judge one another, with caveats.

Generally, I don't pay much attention to what others think about me; I consider the source of the judgment. If it's coming from somebody I respect, I take it to heart. If not, I ignore it and rejoice that I am not them. I guess the older you get, the more secure you get in your own skin.

THANK YOU ALL WHO HAVE POSTED HERE

ok today I was feeling VERY depressed ( unusual but there is a reason ) ..almost in tears as in a few weeks I go through yet another hearing about unjust and unfounded allegations from over 3 years ago ..I KNOW that God has blessed me MIGHTILY over the 3 years and that He will look after me again throughout it all but sometimes ( like when paper work has to be done ) I get upset at the fact that those I used to help and prevent from losing their jobs have been persuaded to turn against me in this way ..hence the depression....Then I found this thread in the few mins I had allowed myself here this morning and what you are saying has REALLY helped

GOD IS MY JUDGE and if He doesnt condemn me then why should I worry about what man thinks about me :24:

Judged. Well yeah, I guess I get judged a lot because I am so staunchly opinionated.

However, it doesn't bother me at all now, it used to and I used to take what people said to heart and sometimes get quite upset about it, but now I just think "ok, fine, so that's what you think" and I take hardly anything personally.

I think, maybe, it's an age thing. When you get older you get not only set in your ways but comfortable with the way you are.

Last Thursday at work, two of our supervisors were staring at me and then came up and and started working beside me. One of the women said "we were just talking about you, you have a wonderful figure for your age"

The other woman working with me who heard this got quite upset, but I thought it was the funniest thing and took it in my stride. This other woman was going on about being judged, but I didn't see it that way. I just saw it as the supervisor being honest, I am a good 15 years older than her and that must seem like a lifetime sometimes.

I do resent being judged by people who will challenge my opinions on particular things and obviously don't know what they are talking about. However, if a challenge comes from somebody who has had experience of the particular thing I'm talking about, well I have to just admit that they're certainly entitled to feel the way they do and I might come across as annoying to them.

One day we will all be judged by God, and he'll be fair, just, righteous and there will be no question that he's able to judge.

What I think about is that when we stand before HIM it indeed would be righteous and even before he speaks we will be down on our knees.

Zoe, depending on the space that you are in make a honest list of your attributes and things about you that you want to be different. This will help you to know what is truth or not.

I know I can be very hard and poisonous with words so I ask God to help me be more gentle.

I know I am a very giving person. So if anyone called me selfish I know its not true.

Sometimes we are lost to ourselves cos we try to please the unpleaseable and then we do not even know who we really are.

or we bend and stretch to become want people want us to be...and we stand trying to figure ou who we are.

Ask Jesus , the father who you are for real. He knows you better than anyone!!! He is gentle and loving about certain things.

Well i guess your talking about being judged by other people.

It used to bother me, when I was younger. It would sting, and depending on the situation, i would feel the need to challenge the person on why they are judging me, or to give them another point of view.

But now, to be honest, it doesnt bother me much at all. This is because I am only accountable to my God, he is the only one whome can judge. I practice virtues of faith, love, compassion, generosity. I feel a closeness with God, and am accoutable to him. Why should i fear the judgment of man? Who can judge but God only?

 Making a list is a great idea, I do it in my mind already. So, to have it before my eyes and be able to read would really help out- :emot-pray: .

Today, I was placed in a postion to stand ( dealing with the same person as last night) firm for whom God says I 'am in His eye and it felt so peaceful and I felt STRONG in my belief.

God is the only judge I will answer to ands I rejoice at what He is doing in me to over come my insecurities- :emot-highfive: .

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
