No, because of what it says in Zech 12. According to Zechariah, when Jesus returns they will see him for who he really is, "they will look upon me whom they pierced, and they will weep for me as for an only child." It reminds me of the story of Joseph's twelve brothers who, upon seeing him for who he was, wept and were bitterly sorrowful for what they had done.

The story of Joseph is a forshadowing of what will happen when the Jewish people recognize Jesus, AFTER he returns.

A thought has just come to me. When we come to believe in the Messiah Jesus we know that Jesus is with us in Spirit. So the saying blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord is a statement of belief in Jesus as He who came in the name of the Lord. So it can be looked at as a personal message to individuals rather than a message to a nation or race. That Jesus will not return to a jew until that jew believed in Him for what He is, the Messiah.

For the gentiles of course it is different He never left us because he never came to us. He came to the jews first and then to the gentiles through the message of the Apostles through the Word of God.

I am not stating this as fact its just a though i have got. Something to think over?

I, for one, agree with you. Here are the primary reasons:

Romans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 10:19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Romans 11:30-32 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Ephesians 2:21-22 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

So the Lord is coming for His people, both Jew and Gentile united as ONE in Christ.
