If you chose to "write in a candidate", who would you write in?

Would current events of today inspire your vote?

Would your vote be based on historical political voting record or civic involvement?

Would your vote be affected by quotations made by a candidate or the person you write in for?

I'm doing what I always do each election year...I'm writing in my vote.

I always do the same thing year after year...I write in the name of Jesus Christ.

People say it's a wasted vote but you can bet the angels in heaven clap and cheer.

I know my Father in heaven reads the ballot when I vote for His Son.

See, I remember how in the book of Judges the people wanted a King; God wasn't too happy about that because HE was their King. Still, they wanted a human being to be their king, so God gave them Saul.

Seems to me whenever we put a man in office, things go from bad to worse. I'm not doggin' on Bush. *(I'll remain silent on Clinton, however).

I AM saying that I want Jesus Christ to rule and reign on earth. I want HIM to lead our people. I want "His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Nobody I know that's human can even begin to compare to His knowledge and wisdom.

So, maybe my meager little vote won't "count" among men, but I'm only concerned about what God considers a valid vote.

I beleive God validates my vote on the rolls of heaven and knows that I have elected Him the King of our land and Lord of my life.

Just my 2 cents...

To write in a vote or just not vote could help Kerry win, so I'll vote for Bush.

LOL! Yeah, I know...and that's a good point. But I've always made a point to vote for the King of Kings...I know His will shall be done and I will stand by it.

Praise be to God, our Lord and Creator!

Greetings All,

The Clinton election proved to me that when good men do nothing, they allow the enemy to come in like a flood. Though I may not be an avid Bush supporter, He is far better than who might come in second. It's too bad that a vote for Jesus is a vote for the loser in this world. It's too bad that Christians can't come to one mind on this.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

My reasoning is three fold, one George likes war, two George help the rich, and leaves the poor out to dry, three the gays are going to be around anyway, we can not kill them, or make them stop doing their sins, yet we may try to stop them from being evil, but we already try, and that has not stopped them, certainly I do not want them to even have civil marriage, but I think war, and the other outweigh the gay issue. I would rather have God's judgement upon American, by doing righteousness in those two areas, then by doing evil which will destroy the spirit, soul, and body. Remember Christ came not to send peace but a sword, He wants His kingdom established, and if evil rules, God will destroy, yet God will preserve, what is right, and good.

allfor, you seem to forget that God instructed His people into war throughout history... and Jesus didn't come to wipe out war. the new testament clearly gives the GOVERNMENT the authority to determine if war is necessary, and to engage in it. he didn't call us (or anyone) to sit idly by in pacifist mode and get slaughtered by terrorists who fly jets into our pentagon, and our WTC buildings. he also didn't call us to sit and twiddle our thumbs while thousands of innocents in other countries are slaughtered. if that's what you're reading in the Bible, you're not reading the entire thing in context.

your comment about bush helps the rich is just plain.... well i'll use a word that was targeted at me yesterday... naive. you don't have a clear understanding of how economics work. personally, i found it extremely helpful for bush to send me an additional tax rebate during his first year, and an advance on my return for the following year. it was money that was desparately needed. his tax cut plan has helped the little people, not just the rich folks. but i'm not stupid. i know that behind ever paycheck we ever get stands a rich person.... and when that rich person is getting ripped off by our government, us poor folks are the ones that suffer.

the homosexuality issue, yes, gays are going to be around. that doesn't mean that something can't be done NOW to prevent legal sanctioning of it. that, to me, is a very high priority, and should be for everyone here.

I vote The Constitution Party in each and every election. The R and D parties are both so corrupted and led by the same Establishment agenda that it really doesn't matter which one wins... the same Establishment plan will still advance.

For those of you who think George W is what he claims to be, here is an interesting read for you.

And BTW, voting for Jesus is ironic seeing that Jesus wouldn't allow Himself to be put on the ballot.

And, regarding Bush... he may not be as on your side as you think when it comes to the gay agenda. Here is an excerpt from the article linked above:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
