-Well, yes and no. Yes because our faith is evident by the way we live and love each other, but no because none of us are in any kind of position to judge another person.

-Isn't that what the Bible says?

let's go through this scripture as a matter of faith.

2 Corinthians 6:16" As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people."

17 Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."*

18 "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty."*

In virse 17. do you realize that there is a reverse to this order. if you will not come out from among them and be separate. If you will not stop touching what is unclean. I will not receive you.

So where are you at? are you a tare or wheat.

Matthew 13 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn." '

Our only agenda is to wake up the elect. :il:

I'm talking about our flesh. There is a list of things that are called "works of the flesh".

Okay, we give the flesh to much credit.

Here is the problem...we should NEVER concentrate on sin! To ask a question like "how much sin can you do" is emphasizing the negative and brings about only negative thoughts!

But for real - if you can lose, or throw away your salvation, to know HOW MUCH SIN it takes, would be a very important thing to know, don't you think? It wouldn't be negative, it'd be a positive, because then you'd know where the limits were and when to toe the line and straighten up. Makes sense to me.

Ok, I haven't read through the entire thread, yet, so forgive me if I am redundant, but I just HAD to comment. Any sin is seperation from God regardless of "how much" of it we do. So the question isn't "how much" sin means I've walked away from God, but because I have sinned, I've walked away from God. The great thing is, God will forgive us when we come before Him again and repent of that sin. There was talk of the Prodigal son earlier in this thread and that is a GREAT example! The son walked away from the Father it doesn't matter that he walked 10, 20, 1000 miles away, but he walked away. His Father was waiting, watching, loving him the entire time he was gone, but if the son had not returned to the Father, he would not have lived. Same with us, when we walk away from God He is still loving us, waiting for us, wanting to welcome us back, but if we don't return to Him in repentance, we will die too.

Thank you Dimeministries, I've appreciated everything you've had to say!

The OSAS man says, "I am saved, I am being saved, and I will be saved. The Lord Jesus gave His life once for all. There was nothing I could do, there is nothing I can do to save myself. But one thing I know, I will go one enjoying this wonderful freedom I have in Christ Jesus. I will press on knowing that one day the Lord Jesus will save me in spite of myself. All I need to do is go on believing in the efficacious blood of Jesus Christ. And if by chance I do fail, the blood of Christ is pleading for me. All I need to do is confess and believe."

The OSNAS man says, "I am saved, I am being saved, and I will be saved, provided that I do not fail and reject the provision which God in Christ Jesus has for me. The danger of being rejected by Christ at the Great White Throne propels me to live a life in dedication to God's word and obedience to Him. As long as I keep Christ's commandments I am okay. But if I should fail, I can always confess and repent and God will again come to live in me."

Doctrines don't save. Jesus saves.

My opinion, however, is that one lives a life enjoying the wonderful provision of God's grace, which drives him to pursue Christ even more. The other lives a life largely in fear of losing his or her salvation, which more or less drives him to live a life of legalizm and therefore the enjoyment of Christ is not as great.

JMHO

God-man,

I am offended by your statement. I believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends uppon continued obedient faith in Christ, however, I do NOT live in "fear" that I can lose my salvation and I do not try to live an obedient life because of a "threat", I try to live an obedient life because I love Jesus and because of His love for me! I WANT to be obedient to Christ because I am awed and overwhelmed at His awesome goodness and I respect and love Him more than anything! My motivation for obedience is not fear, but love. I am aghast that you pressume otherwise.

One point that I always make that I have not yet is that nobody intrepretated the Scriptures to say OSAS until just a few hundred years ago.

OSAS is foreign to the Bible and all of church history until John Calvin, and OSAS was only there because he taught predetermined salvation.

Without T.U.L. and I, P. means nothing.

I believe that you can lose your salvation if you become a christian but then later ignore God and do tons of sinful acts or change to a different religion. We can only lose our salvation if we want to. We can't lose it accidentally, but if we are constantly involved in sin and we do not obey God, we can lose it.

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.

Here is one of hte verses i have found concerning this... "they shall never perish"

notice the word NEVER.. this tells me that salvation is eternal and shall never be lost... now the question you should be asking is would one that is truly saved ever commit a great multitude of sins against Christ? Would one that is truly saved change there mind? i dont think so..

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
