Jesus told us not to worry about tomorow :

Matthew 6:25-34

25 "For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than clothing? 26 "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 "And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life's span? 28 "And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29 yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. 30 "But if God so arrays the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more do so for you, O men of little faith? 31 "Do not be anxious then, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or `With what shall we clothe ourselves?' 32 "For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. 34 "Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Luke 21:33-36

33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 34 "Be on guard, that your hearts may not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day come on you suddenly like a trap; 35 for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. 36 "But keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Its not easy for many not to worry about the future and what tomorow is going to bring us , so many people are depressed or live with

anxiety ,we all live different lives and ,with Gods help we can cast all our burdens on the Lord and live a life free worry of what tomorow may bring....

We can learn to lean on Jesus!!

One day at a time

I dont worry I prepare...this is why I am never fussed who wins what election...its all in Gods control no matter what we do anyway. I do get anxious though if its in regards to my children...but I think that is natural for any parent.

I don't recall where I heard it, but someone once said that too many times we crucify "Today" between two thieves named "Yesterday" and "Tomorrow". "Worry", the way it was being taught, would correspond to "Tomorrow", while "Regret" would be the same as "Yesterday". God told Moses, "I am that I am"--He didn't say He is "that He was" or He is "that He will be". Whatever day you're on is "Today", and that's where He is to be found in our lives "today" (whatever day that falls on). It's one reason we're told in Psalms that "today" is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

So little we know about this dimension we all exist in that we call "time", but one thing we do know is that the Lord has an "appointed time" for everything. If Jesus comes for us tonight at midnight because it is the "appointed time", we have from now until then to wait for that time to come. We can decide to spend it worrying about something or not, but either way it will pass as the same amount of time.

I'm 59 yrs. old, so it's easier for me to say now than it was when I was a younger man and had not seen all the ways the Lord delivers His people that I have by now (Psalms 34:19), but I have learned over time that whenever something in my life is simply "out of my hands", it's because Jesus has it in His. The best thing for me to do is leave it there, whatever it is, and trust Him that He loves me enough to deliver me as many times as that will take for Him to complete what He aims to do with my life.

I hope that helps. There are other Scriptures that support what I've written here.

Since we began to tithe, which reveals to God a trusting heart, we have not struggled with worry again.

Yep - worry is something I struggle with from time to time. Unfortunately, anxiety runs in the family...

One thing God is doing in this area is teaching me how to trust! I still have my ups and downs (right now I'm kinda in a down), but mostly I'm learning that he has a plan for me and nothing will get in the way - not even my anxiety. I have to try to keep putting myself into situations that confront the fear, though. It's hard, and I've been losing my courage lately...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
