Has anyone else felt this way?

Hello All!

This may seem silly to some, but here lately I've really felt a deep stirring in my soul concerning the rapture.

I just can't explain it.

It almost seem like things are jumping to my attention, or maybe something someone might say (and not realizing it), but right away I can almost hear a message from G-d through it.

It has gotten so bad for me lately (the "urgent" feeling) that I'm having a very difficult time doing simply, everyday chores around my house.

I almost feel like I need to be "knee deep", either in prayer, or His Word at ALL times.

I know the "harvest time" is nigh and it seems that I cannot be "ready" enough!

I just feel like I have to say this. Now is the time to figure out if we're either, hot, cold, or lukewarm for G-d. It seems to me that G-d is beginning to knock people off of the fences.

We all are going to have to stand before the Judgement Seat of G-d, and we're going to have to give account for everything thing we've ever done, said, or thought.

So, let us all "Get our houses in order" and prepare to meet our Maker. Let us all live each minute like it is our last.

YSIC,

Diane

i feel ashamed for what i am about to say.... i just hope someone here can empathize!

i'm prepared to meet my maker. but the idea of the rapture coming at this point in time fills me with utter dread. i am a pre-trib believer, but sometimes i hope i'm wrong.

sounds like a strange thing for a christian to say, doesn't it? but i know that my oldest daughter is not ready, and i'm uncertain about my other daughter and my husband. i would rather go through the tribulation so that i could warn my family against submitting to authority in a manner that would deny Christ, than to be caught up in the rapture leaving them behind.

does anyone else ever have such fears?

I know exactly how you feel. I'm the only Christian in my household. :t2:

I have tried to get my family to turn their lives around and accept Jesus, but no such luck yet.

In my case, unless the Lord moves quickly in my home...I'm afraid my family will be lost forever. What a sad and troubling thought.

I have feelings similar to what you're describing here.

My thoughts dwell on the fact that the Rapture could happen at any time off and on every day. I have a deep down spiritual awareness that I need to live my life better, read the Bible and pray a lot more than I do. When I fall short of what I feel I'm supposed to do, then I feel really guilty about it and I know in my heart, I should be doing more for God while we are still here.

I have a yearning to leave this world and for the Rapture to happen, but at the same time, I agree that I don't want the Rapture to happen just yet, because of unsaved loved ones that need to be saved before the Rapture takes place.

With the terror alerts that have been issued, I have a sense of dread in my spirit that something bad is about to happen one way or the other, so I believe our time is short, whether it's because we're Raptured out of here first, or whether we're called home first by some terrible fate.

I don't feel at peace about the safety of our country. The devil is working overtime attacking Christians in every way he can to try to discourage or confuse them in their faith.

I do know the Holy Spirit is telling me to get my house in order completely. I just pray to God for the strength that I need to accomplish this.

i'm sure glad i'm not the only one! my oldest turned her back on God without apology. my youngest is going through the typical teenage withdrawal, although she still considers herself to be a christian... my husband also accepted Christ when he was much younger, but he doesn't serve our Lord. i worry for them so much!

Jesus4me40, sounds like the Holy Spirit is stirring your heart. The Lord began to birth those deep in the soul feelings that He was coming soon several years back. Now, as the time draws nearer, I, too, can sense a deep knowledge that it is nearly time to bid this world good bye. I get really excited when I think about seeing Jesus face to face!

However, there was a time that I would think of my lost loved ones and my heart would break at the thought of them being left behind. Then one morning about a year ago in a church service, I joined the body around the alter in prayer and the Lord spoke to my spirit one of His precious promises to me.

" All of your children shall be taught of the Lord and great will be the peace of your children." Isaiah 54:13

From that time forth I began to stand on that promise and pray it over my children, and believe the Lord for household salvation. I am seeing Him at work in my family. Now, instead of worrying about it I channel that energy into prayer over them and trust the Lord that all will be well.

I can't wait to see my Lord!!! What a joyful day that will be!!

I too have these thoughts and feelings.

My eldest son is 14 and only just told us he hates church and no longer wants to follow God and my husband has recently returned to church after many years of no attendance. I pray he seeks God in deep and personal way.

My fears are that they will be lost, it brings me such sadness.

I pray for them so intensly.

I was so happy this morning, to log on and see that I'm not the only one "feeling" this way.

The sad part is, I have no one to share my joy and my pain (except for these boards, or my sister that lives in another state).

Sometimes I can be sitting and reading my bible and catch out of the corner of my eye, my husband "rolling" his eyes, because he thinks I've went off the deep end.

I once tried to tell him about prophecy and all that's happening in these "last days", and his reply was.."You haven't told the kids about this craziness, have you?!" :b:

How do I reply to someone that has such a hard heart?

I pray and pray for all of those that are not saved, but quite honestly I'm tired.

So, when I started to get these "feelings", I haven't been able to hardly sit still!

This feeling is so urgent, I've often wondered if I should even bother with dinner, since I won't be here to eat it!

I don't know, maybe I have gone crazy. Well, if I have, this is the most amazing place of "insanity" that I have ever been in! ;)

God Bless You All,

Diane

To me it seems that the idea of the 'Rapture' is a teaching that is especially prevalent in the USA...nearly every conversation seems to mention it in some form or the other...here in the UK it is hardly ever taught, and there is no great emphasis placed upon it...and I certainly do not habour any doo-dabs concerning when it might happen But I listen to my Ameican cousins with interest.

Gee, I wasn't aware of that. What exactly do the churches teach there? Do they believe in a "rapture", but maybe not referring to it by any one name?

Last night I was watching a "christian" program, and the preacher was talking about G-d and His love for us all.

He actually said, "I do NOT agree with teaching Hell and damnation. Go-d is love, not hate!" ;)

Please believe me, some preachers over here aren't telling the "whole" story either!

 Diane

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
