Angels: When I tell my hubby that I'm so inlove with Jesus, he just doesn't fathom what I'm saying.

See, when I read Dr. Luke's post (Dave)...I can readily relate. I go, "Yeah!"

But most people would think we're weird or something.

I put I'm happy with the way I'm living my Christian life but that does NOT mean I've arrived or I'm holding myself up in any regard. I simply mean that I love God's laws because they are perfect. We can serve Him in a maximum capacity if we obey His laws.

Note: As far as being stagnant - I personally don't believe there is a middle ground. You're either growing in your walk, or falling backward. The Holy Spirit within us doesn't just hang around until we decide we want to do something. The Holy Spirit is active in every one of us. So we can listen to the Holy Spirit and grow, or tune Him out and fall backward. I do not believe that there is such a thing as stagnant or complacent. You may percieve yourself to be stagnant, but in reality I believe it's a slow decent backward since you're not moving forward. (mainly referencing "backsliders")

Some of you may disagree with me and that's fine. This is something the Lord has shown me regarding myself and my walk. This is not necessarily for you guys - I leave that up to the Lord to teach you personally - to get a tailor made teaching from Him. That's not my job. It is not meant to "shove" down anyone's throats - this is simply what I learned.

Note: As far as being stagnant - I personally don't believe there is a middle ground. You're either growing in your walk, or falling backward.

Sometimes it feels like there are "gray" areas though. For instance, when I was on chemotherapy I was so sick constantly that I couldn't function. I was worthless to anyone.

I couldn't even pray...too busy throwing up and heaving. Sorry.

It's pretty bad. Then the constant cycles of flares and my fingers turning blood red and swollen and looking like they were caught in a door jam.

There ARE times when I think we DO feel dormant or stagnant...or just in a holding pattern. It's as if the Lord is saying, "Wait on Me. This is a test of endurance."

But the "emotional" response is, "How long, oh God? How long?!" King David soaked his pillow at night, crying OUT to the Lord. There were some really bad days for David and he expressed his heart to the Lord during these difficult times.

There's times when I'm not really falling backwards; I just can't stand.

There are times when the Lord just has to carry me in His arms until my strength is regained.

I don't think that's sin...it's persevering during the hardtimes of life. It's clinging to Jesus when we feel overwhelmed by the storms around us.

Those are the times when we're not at full capacity and we seem frozen in time. Our whole world comes to a halt.

If you're in ICU watching your child hooked up to monitors and dying, suddenly your whole world comes crashing down on you.

When the doctor says, "We've done all we can do for you " there's a new reality to face.

Once we walk a mile in another person's shoes, we begin to fathom the pressure other's live under....a quiet desperation that's buried inside. They let no one in to visualize the hurt and pain. They suffer in silence.

My husbands lovely, healthy doctor seems to have the world on a string. She's also a believer. Truth is: She just watched one of her twins die, while the othe twin is terminal and dying. The two older children are legally blind and impaired by CP

(Cerebral Palsy)

So, there ARE times when we feel stagnant and useless...yet somehow God is able to teach us more when we go through the fires of affliction, so long as He's holding our hand as we pass by.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Wow Cats. It seems like you went through a lot of things. And what a colorful and graphic detail of your description!!!! It sounds so horrible!

I respect what you said and with that said, then I'll just speak for myself then. Whenever I'm sick or incompacitated, that's when my enduraance and perseverence kicks in which I do not consider to be stagnant. I'm relying on Him to either get me through it or teach me. There are others who in the same situation would curse God and go the other way. So even when I'm not physically able, spiritually and mentally I'm still obeying Him, growing and yes moving forward.

Cat, that 's different, you're not stagnant when you are sick and you have no words to pray, Jesus is carrying you through those times and He still is.

He cares alot for you, you are special for Him and us.

I see alot of strenght in your Christian life and that's a gift from God...He cares and knows your and mine future. And He's always there. ;)

Love and prayes, Angels :D

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
