1 Timothy 5

23 Drink water no longer, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake, and for your frequent infirmities.

So in the bible, the word of God, whom He is able to preserve. Whom He states is for

2 Timothy 3

16 All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17 that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.

Paul wrote this to Timothy, a recommendation to drink wine for his infirmities. Why didnt God direct Paul to admonish Timothy to just have faith and believe his infirmities will be healed. After all, Paul was showing Timothy how to be a model preacher. Wouldnt divine healing through word of faith be a part of it IF wof was true?

Axe, please address this.

We do get sick, as members of this fallen race. There are things we can do to prevent it--like living healthfully, and there are things we can do to alleviate ailments ourselves. All good and all God-inspired, and all in faith, believing. God is a practical God!

Receive it by believing that God is telling you the truth--you have your healing already in your spirit--now believe it and receive it in your body.

so, you are saying they dont receive it because they dont believe it.

in other words, they are not healed due to a lack of faith.

It isn't a bad thing to lack faith--it isn't a blame game. We are all operating an different levels of faith in one area or another. This blaming thing is getting in the way of people receiving truth about their healing that is already won for them on the cross of Jesus Christ by His stripes. We take pity on all who are sick and we also take pity on those who are not appropriating their healing for whatever reason--faithlessness, or ignorance of what God teaches us about healing. We all are called to come up higher... no one is pointing fingers of derision at anyone.

I refuse to get into the blame game, for that is not my intent. It is a faith and belief issue, and many, many people just don't understand the biblical principles for healing. I am truly only beginning to really understand some of them, and I know that God's will is not that any be sick. Anyone who believes that and becomes ill will be sinning against God if he or she ever asks for prayer for healing or goes to the doctor to try and get well. so, God wants us all to be well and to enjoy the life that Jesus died to give us.

God never promised we would be healed in our lifetimes.....as I stated before...sometimes total and complete healing is only recieved upon death.

When our lives are over, we receive our crowns of victory, yes. But we have our healing here, if we will on;y receive it.

Tell that to the babies who have died from various diseases, the cancer patients who begged for healing and everyone who has died still ill while believing that their healing was coming. Their healing was coming. God ended thier suffering. It wasn't the way they had planned. Not everyone who asks and believes will be healed here on Earth. In a perfect world they would be, but last time I checked this world was far from perfect.

No one said it was your fault...what was said was that all healing is not for the here and now. Sometimes God says wait cause He has other plans. And some people do not recieve their healing until they are released from this life.

Healing is no where promised as a gift of grace from God. The Bible does not say healing belongs to us, as the WOF healing doctrine professes.

if you find the time, could you offer the scripture background for this?

Our healing is in the Atonement. Simple. We have it in our born again spirits--perfect and holy and in receipt of all of God's good things already. We have only to take them.

Isaiah 43:5

But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24

He personally carried our sins

in his body on the cross

so that we can be dead to sin

and live for what is right.

By his wounds

you are healed.

All of your quotes refer to being healed from sin, not sickness.

That's wrong teaching.

How? Does sin have another meaning besides sin/ transgression/ iniquity?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
