I came across this website today- www.spiritlessons.com. It's chalk full of questionable things- including prophecy and revelation. It reminds me of Globe Magazine, or the National Inquirer.

A ways down the page, there are a couple books by a woman name Mary K. Baxter.

One is called a Divine Revelation of Hell, the other called a Divine Revelation of Heaven. Mary claims to have visited both Heaven and Hell, have seen Jesus, and a number of other things. She claims that her writings were ordered by God- that they are inspired.

Let me bluntly say that I think she's full of it.

But of course I could be wrong. I'm just not sure what to think.

What do you guys think?

Every word of God is pure, He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.

Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee and thou be found a liar.

We know Heaen is a real place and that hell is a real place because of the word of God. I am not sure if she has or has not visited either place, I dont' know her. My folks and my Pastors always have told me that if I read a book and what the book said did not match what the Word of God said guess who was wrong. Also they told me that when reading a book of this nature evidently, it needs to lead you to the point of what Jesus did for us at the cross. How studied are you in the written word of God?

I remember seeing this posted somewhere on here before. I've both read and listen to her testimony on the audio version and its hard for me to discern. I've also listened to Bill Wiese's testimony which is found on that same site and its similar to Mary Baxter's. The only thing I can say is that if Satan is behind it....why would he want people to be aware that hell is real and pointing others to Jesus?

Its truly hard for me to discern whether they've just 'made up' these things are not, I'll let Christ be the judge. :24:

I remember first hearing about Bill Weise then about Mary K. Baxter and all I can conclude is that they are false. If we read 2nd Corinthians 12 we have an account of Paul refering to himself in the third person. He writes that "2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a man was caught up to the third heaven. 3And I know how such a man--whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows-- 4 was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak."

Written here Paul gives an account of "a man" that was caught up in the third heaven and that when he did he heard and undoubtingly saw things which a man is not "permitted to speak". So if the things they saw, and heard were things that men are not permitted to speak, why do they claim God showed them to tell if it is not permitted to do so according to scripture?

Heaven is not a place in which people who are scared of hell go, but a place where people who love to worship and believe in Jesus go.

I read some of it. It follows the word of God. whether or not she had a distinct vision, it is Scriptural. In fact that last few entries or chapters are based on Scripture. So if you want to know about these matters, the Word tells us anyway.

That's why its hard for me to say they're false or crazy. If you remove the 'experience' from the testimony, the message is Jesus Christ and salvation. If they're false with the 'experience' side of it, then they're indeed liars and Satan is the father of all lies. But if Satan has a hand in it, the experience and message combined would put Satan against his own kingdom and that just doesn't make sense to me.

But if their testimonies to experiencing these things are true, then Satan would love nothing more than for these people to be consider crazy and false. Even Jesus himself was accused of being insane. :noidea:

I usually only believe the accounts of people who can't tell you what they saw.

There people who I believe have genuinely seen heaven, but they cannot describe it because there is no earthly frame of reference for them to draw from.

Describing Heaven for those who have truly seen it, is like trying to describe the color red to a blind person who has never seen color.

Anyone can grab some verses from the Bible and manufacture a "vision" of heaven.

Here's something to ponder.

2 Corinthians

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

When the devil and his ministers are masquerading as ministers of righteousness, what do you think their message is?

True indeed, but is not puzzling that Satan would transform himself into an angel of light to say...."hell is very much real...better listen to Jesus".

I do believe that more would need to be known about these people before claiming their testimony is true and I'm not making that claim. That's why I stated I'll leave it up to Christ. :amen:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
