I can't say for everyone, but I know many parents who donot profess to know God but still raise there children on biblical morals and standards. And don't even realize where they got those standards from.

I agree.

So it is my belief that we shouldn't get all bent out of shape over the conditions of the world.

We need to concentrate on our own walk and not wrap our head around what others are doing.

There is nothing new under the sun that God doesn't know about.

He knew the condition of the world berfore He ever created it.

I agree with you and Kross. We are to effect those in our own Jerusalem and lives.

The words of the Lord also tell us to be forgiving to those who sin, even such an evil sin as sodomy. We should not interfere with their sins of the flesh, as it is already to late to save them from themselves; God will do as he sees fit when they pass on to judgment, and they will atone for eternity. Instead, we should enlighten those who have not been tainted by the evils of the lustful ways of the homosexuals, and ensure that the union between man and woman is upheld in the house of the Lord, through law if we have to. For if we do the Lords work, and remove them from this plane, are we no better than them? By killing another man, do we not warrant eternal damnation as much as they do?

Jesus did not ignore their sin and we should not either. HE was in the mist of the sinners, showing them the way. The only time it is too late for sinners is after death. To just give up on them is wrong. To judge the world is Gods place. To judge sin in the church is ours.

Blessings OneLight. I do agree with you completely on the first five. But could you please tell me what you mean by to judge sin in the church is ours. I don't quite understand that one.

In His Hands,

MeMa

The judging of salvation is not what I refer to, but the judgment of sin, which is if someone does you wrong, you have judged them when you say they did you wrong. It also means that when a brother or sister in Christ sins, it should not be overlooked. We are not to overlook sin within the body, as Paul states, purge out the old leaven. Sin, if left alone, will bring in more sin. Here is one example.

In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul tells us that he has judged sin ...

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles

Let me tell you what happened at my church. My pastors wife was reading the newspaper one day and saw something that completely floored her. There in the marriage announcements was a pic of two men announcing their engagement and soon to be marriage. The pastor brought it up in both services the following Sunday. He and lots of members wrote the newspaper about how wrong it was to print such a thing. Boy did that stir up a hornets nest to put it nicely. What tore my heart up was so many people responded in favor being able to marry who you want as long as love was involved. The contraversy over it didn't help our church. The letter the pastor wrote to the paper was posted on the news that night. Made tv news. His heart was in the right place he just didn't handle it correctly. I agree we must fight what goes against the word of our Lord but doesn't He say something about being gentle as a lamb. (If someone can point me to that scripture it would be much appreciated. I checked gateway and can't find it). I will try to win them with the Lord's love dear sister in Christ. But I must go about it with love. Love the sinner by the power of Christ but not the sin. :th_praying::crosseyed:

Blessings.

In His Hands,

MeMa

Is this it?

Luke 10

3 Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.

Matthew 10

16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Here's a couple more.

Philippians 2

14 Do all things without complaining and disputing,

15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

Ephesians 5

15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,

16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

When we have a society telling children as young as 5 that same sex marriage is normal, it is in fact beneficial and Mum and Dad roles are intersexual - then we are obligated to do something.

What do you think can be done?

Man oh man..have I not stated that?

How is trying to clean up the church going to change what those 5 year olds are hearing in school?

Do you think the Church should take a more tougher stance on homosexuality within?

If they did, then wouldn't that be sending out a "clear" message to the "world"?

Sometimes, I fear the Church is sending out mixed messages and some people don't know whether they are Arthur or Martha....

I guess I'm old school man...

If the church is going to clean itself up, it has to do so in every area.

If it only takes a stance against homosexuality, the clear message it sends to the world is, "We hate gays".

That message has already been sent.

Well that IS confusing then...no wonder..

The Church says it hates gays yet it allows for it, from within......

Honestly I don't know what the answer is...maybe if I stay true to the Word and become hardline in my own walk, then people will see where I'M coming from and where I stand. They won't be confused when it comes to me.

You know, you have to draw the line somewhere don't you man?

Does the Church allow practising homosexuals to serve in Church?

This happens and I for one don't agree with it.

Am I a bad girl for that?

No.

Will I aplogise to anyone for my stance?

No I won't.

Then you stay away from the ones that allow that behavior.

That's been stated a couple times.

Stay true to the Word and you won't have to worry about that line.

It does happen, but there's nothing you can do about it, except stay away from them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
