I'm sorry about your mother Massorite. While there is life, there is hope - people have been saved whilst on their deathbeds.

If only your mother would forgive - and hand over her bitterness/hatred to God. Love covers a multitude of sins... :th_praying:

God isn't the one who sends someone to hell...

it's the persons doing, and his choice...

God even tried to save each one of us, by sending his only Son...

but it's really up to us...

i believe prayer is the most powerful tool in every situation....

we just have to pray for God to soften the heart of our unsaved loved ones...

Men chooses on their own accord to be born "again".

I can say from my own experience that I was not born again of my own accord - it was what God did in my life that utterly convinced me of His reality.

First he softened me, then convinced me.... then I accepted.

I'll go for that.

The Holy Spirit presents you with the Truth - it's up to you whether you accept that invitation to eternal life with Jesus/God. Just like it's up to you to continue on in sin.

Hi His girl,

We are presented with the truth by the preaching of the Word. The Holy Spirit uses the preached word to convict us of our sin and convince us of the need of a Saviour. This is where God chooses who the Holy Spirit draws and who He doesn't. Jesus said:

Joh 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Did you see that first statement? This implies that those that do not come were not given to Jesus. Those that come to Jesus are the ones that God chose and are revealed by the fact that they chose.

All men are responsible to believe the Gospel. We are without excuse. But unless God gives us a new heart first our heart won't turn to Him. Without this change man will not turn from sin.

I am not trying to resay what you said but explain the differences in what I believe and what you said. There are some subtle differences.

Hi Renewed,

Here is a question to ponder. If God is all powerful, and is trying to save each one of us, and always does things in the best, most powerful way; Could we say that God fails when a man does not get saved when God tries to save him?

Think about it first before answering. And welcome to WB.

If you're drowning and I throw you a lifeline and you refuse to take it and end up dying, who's at fault for your death?

ReNeWeDSouL never used this phrase, "always does things in the best, most powerful way". Those are your words.

What she stated is true.

I never said he used that phrase. I used the phrase. And when God does anything He does it completely. He loves completely and never loves one more than another.

And if you throw that lifeline to someone that is unconscious in the water how can you condemn that person for not grabbing hold. The analogy holds because man is DEAD in sin. A dead man cannot raise himself up. He cannot even ask to be raised. Lazarus had no say in being raised from the dead. It was all of Jesus Christ. It is your logic that does not add up.

It is your logic that does not add up.

It doesn't add up because you added to what was said.

When you add and take away from what is said, you change the message.

So why are you involved at all? Are you trying to protect him from something? I asked a question of Rnewedsoul based on what he said. It was only a question and somehow you felt you need to answer for him. So since you answered for him you can answer my question to you.

And if you throw that lifeline to someone that is unconscious in the water how can you condemn that person for not grabbing hold?

Your assumption and analogy do not account for the inability of the man in the water to help himself. So how do you answer??????

You changed the scenario. You added to what was said, thus changing the message.

The death of Christ on the Cross is an open invitation to anyone who wants to accept it.

No one is held back. Everyone has the ability to grab hold of that Lifeline.

No one, "is unconscious in the water".

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
