This has NOTHING to do with the lives that we have here in America. I am not damning America so quit insinuating that I am. We do have all these thing you mentioned. We spend more money on fast food than most people in the world make in a year. The issue is: Is or will God punish America for the decadence, idol worship and apostasy that is occurring here. All indications from scripture is that he will. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God does not punish His people, you and me specifically (He corrects us), but He does punish societies who turn away from Him. He leaves them to there own devices and suffer the consequences of their choices. And the country of America as a nation has turned it's back on God. Stop trying to turn this into a personal statement about Christians, because I am talking about the Nation. If you can't see what is happening to our nation, then perhaps some people need to look at the history of nations like ours (Rome for one) and judge whether we are in a similar situation.

Will God punish us because our government has become a godless government. Yes He Will. Will God punish our nation because for the most part we have become a godless nation? Yes He will. But as of this very day God has NOT left the building. But He will in the future. So you need to stop saying that He has because so far He is still in control of America and we are still living at a much higher standard of living then 95% of the rest of the people in the world. You stop telling everybody that God has forsaken us and I will stop telling you that He hasn't. OK.

One of the things I tell all that I can is that according to prophetic scripture is that in order for prophecy to be fulfilled. The EU most become the most powerful nation in the world both economically and militarily and America most decline in it's power and we are starting to see that happening now. As long as all or most oil is purchased with us dollars. We will remain some what stable. But when that stops it will be a major blow to our economy. You are correct in that we can see our economic decline traveling along the same route as our moral decline and the truth about it is that no matter what we do about it or try to do about it we are not going to be able to stop or change our downward progress. Why? Because prophetic scripture must be fulfilled. Why? Because God said so.

I figure that most everybody on this web site can see what is going on in our country but as long as we are blessed beyond most of the people in the world God is still with us as a nation and when He is not He will still be with us who are His people whether we are living well or not. That is what true faith is all about. Do we hang with Him in only good times or do we hang with Him in bad times as well.

I have studied about the early church in Rome and even though the body of Christ was under severe persecution, they inspired non believers to become believers because non believers could that they had something special and were willing to commit to being persecuted to be a part of Christ.

However I still love this country.

What I see is two societies within our one country. As long as we have our freedoms and liberty we can choose to live in the culture and type of society and family that we create for ourselves. Obviously this becomes more difficult as our culture decay's, however it is not impossible. This country is just too large and too diverse to paint with one brush.

I think that we are just looking at this from different angles. I understand what you are saying, and perhaps saying God has left the building was a little presumptuous and premature. Aside from that, I believe that what I have written is the truth. Be blessed.

Whatever the reason.. this is all so very shameful for them (those participating). This is how we know when we are very close to the last days because SIN is paraded like this.

Not so long ago, in the U.S., these people would be arrested and/or run out of town for something like this. Well, actually, in some parts of the country they still would be. What kind of sleaze bag hotel would rent space for a gay orgy? I agree with the others; this isn't a judgement on me; I don't do these things. But there WILL be judgement, have no doubt. We should all pray that the Holy Spirit would convict each and every one of them to see how terrible is their sin, and pray they seek repentance.

But I think that when is comes to homosexuals, we should also pray that we, Christians, understand just how important this is and what this means for us. Homosexuality is a sin, yes and Holy Spirit will need to convict them. How will He do it though if we do not tell them? But before we tell them, we have to read Romans 1:18-32 and understand where the root of this sin is and what this means for us when we deal with them. Most if not all of them will tell you they are former Christians turn Atheists. Most if not all will say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. They are given over to their lust that blinds them, hardens their hearts and hinders understanding. To get through to a homosexual you'll have to hit hard, where it hurts, but gently, in cooperation with Holy Spirit, with clear Scripture passages and exlanation of just WHY and HOW homosexuality is wrong. We cannot just write an angry letter to their leader with a cliche "Homosexuality is wrong". I had an opportunity to try and talk to a few of them... unless you show them just WHY and HOW homosexuality is wrong, they will not listen. They think they are born with it; they need to be shown that their sin is the result of their willful abandonment of God and His Law, not that they are born that way. True, some are just teens born to, or living with, a homosexual couple family and it seems to them that they are born with it. But everyone of them that I talked to, all came from Christian families and were not brought up in the fear of the LORD because their Christian parents were doing other, "more important" , things.

Regarding judjment on us Christians or not, I dont. But there is always the fact that we have to warn them that what they are doing is wrong and what they face. Ezekiel 3:16-21 and Ezekiel 33:1-11 contains some sobering truths for all Christians, and it is especially sobering today. And needed.
