A few months ago I was going through a really bad time and there was this guy who took advantage of it. I've told my self over and over again that I forgive both of us for our part in it, but when ever I see him I can't help feeling angry. I feel absolutely disgusted by his presence. How can I really forgive this person when every time I see him he gives me this sarcastic look and everything in me wants to smack him? I've prayed and prayed about this, but I'm still angry. I guess if this was someone else's post I would advise them to keep praying for

God's guidance and then I would ask how do you expect to forgive this person if you haven't really forgiven yourself. Your anger at him is feeding off your anger at yourself. It's easier to give advise then to apply it to one's life. :prayer

It sounds like you already know what you need to do, so i really cant add anything in that aspect. What I and the rest of the members here CAN do is pray for you, and that I will gladly do

Jacqueline-

I have been learning how important it is to see others as Jesus sees them. For instance, I have a hard time loving my boss, she does everything she can to make people feel stupid, including me. Jesus was so awesome in that He could look at the vilest people and see beyond who they were to what their greatest need was, which was Him. It is sooo hard to do but when you see the person that you are angry at, just say a quick prayer for Jesus to help you see him like He does. I have done this with my boss and you will see the difference it will make and the Lord will bless you for it.

You can forgive someone and still be angry that it occurred. The anger will pass with time. Anger in itself is not a sin.

Psalms 30:4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Ours endures a little longer sometimes. lol

I think it only stands to reason that you would have a hard time forgiving him if

every time you see him he gives you a sarcastic look. I think anyone in that situation might want to smack him for doing that. It seems he's not doing anything to help the forgiveness part, but instead chooses to antagonize you with the way he looks at you. More than likely, you would probably have already forgiven and forgotten what he had done, if he would respond to you with a smile instead.

That's just my humble opinion.

God Bless,

Kat

Jaqueline,

I just want you to know that I've been there and I've done that. I will definitely pray for you, lift you up, and stand in agreement with your heart which is desiring to be free of this unforgiveness.

One of the best books I ever read about the subject of taking offense, harboring unforgiveness, etc... was "The Bait of Satan." I loved it. It really took the subject and broke it down into simple terms (which I desperately need  ), but very sound Biblical terms. The author also provides ideas for prayer and well-being throughout it. You might wanna' check and see if you can get your hands on it. It's a good read for anybody, really! I had no idea how much of that "stuff" was lurking around in my spirit and stealing my joy.

God bless you,

MB

Just remember too that we forgive not because the person is necessarily deserving of our forgiveness but so we can maintain a right relationship with God and for our personal peace.

Absolutely! I believe that unforgiveness cuts at the very core of your soul and your being. It eats away at your health and hurts your walk with God. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

I think if Satan can cause a person to be unforgiving, he can wreck havoc on your life in any way he wants.

God Bless,

Kat

Forgiving others who have done wrong to us, is sometimes hard to do. However, the Lord says he won't forgive us our sins if we won't forgive others who have sinned against us.

You don't have to accept deed itself, but the person, can and must, be forgiven! You ... (and I) are able to do this through Jesus. Ask Jesus to help you do it through him...through his Love. You may not feel like you have forgiven them at first.... but keep praying--it will happen! In time you will develop a Christ-like love, and forgiveness for this person--THROUGH JESUS!

Blessings~

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
