Maybe not, it will probably be some kind of ecumenical secular humanists dream team. I hate to be so cynical but it is what we have come to see with this Administration so far. :emot-highfive::)

I was wondering when he would get around to promoting Rev Wright.

And that other one. I can't think of his name.

This is sadly true. But it's not cynical, just realistic.

We shall see today. Dave, we share the same concerns.

Edited to add that there may be a leader from every religion in the US, since he claims to want to be "for the people". :emot-highfive:

The news just reported that Obama is going to require that all religious groups, when hiring, must prove it is doing so indiscriminately. I wonder if this means that a Christian church has to hire a witch if the witch is qualified?

Hiring in what capacity? I mean, if the attorney or custodian of a Christian (or Jewish, muslim, etc.) church, synogogue, mosque or whatever is a hindu or wiccan, no big deal. Although most people wouldn't want to work in an institution whose doctrines were completely contrary to their own, IMO. But if you're talking about the pastor, imam or whatever....they would pretty much have to be of the faith they're working for. I don't get the point of this. Where did you hear it?

I dont understand this either, as MG touched on, hiring someone who is not leading worship might be a good thing as there would be many opportunities to witness, but I can't imagine a church being forced to allow a spirtual leader whose ideals go against church doctrine :group-hug: Could you give a link One Light?
