Regardless of what hardships one may suffer, God needs to be our number one priority. If He's not, you're just spinning your wheels.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into light.” 1 Peter 2:9 Have you ever watched royalty? They live their lives in the public eye. They are required to attend certain events, dress a certain way, and act a certain way in public. They are taught how to act and dress from the time they are born. Sometimes I wonder if they ever have a private moment just to be themselves. They also have certain privileges given to them because of their royal status. They can influence the nation they rule and ultimately the world. They make policy and have the lives of millions of people in their hands. According to 1 Peter 2:9 we are also royalty. We are taught from the Word of God how we should act. We are to be a holy nation, set apart for the work of OUR King Jesus. We are to live blameless before the world. We are not to take our royalty as a chance to over through governments or rule over other people. We are supposed to submit to one another, governments, and masters. Wives are to submit to their husbands and men are to love their wives and care for their needs. Our kingdom is not of this world it is of the other world, the more important one, the spiritual world. We also have power to influence this world. As royal priests to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords we should have tremendous power. This power comes from the spiritual gifts that the Lord has bestowed on us. According to Romans 12 we have diverse gifts. These gifts include wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, tongues and interpretation. The Holy Spirit distributes each gift as He wills. Some people believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit have ceased because we have no more need for them. Well, the devil hasn’t ceased working so why would the Holy Spirit leave us with no defense against him? When the devil is thrown into the lake of fire forever then we will no longer have a need for the gifts of the Spirit. Ephesians 6:11 says, “We battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.” Earthly royalty has great power in this world, but the real battle is in the heavenly places where WE rule with Christ. So we have the real power if we live a holy life submitted to the Lord, believe in the power God has given us, and use our gifts in service for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

How many of you have seen "My Hope America" the new show that Billy Graham airing? He is doing this is honor of his 95th birthday. If you have not seen it you should. It is amazing. I was moved by the message, not only because I miss the man's crusades dearly, but because of his message. It is a simple message. It is the message of the cross. This is the message that he has given us for six decades now. He never talks about politics and his message says nothing about how giving him money will fill your wallet with cash. He doesn't claim to be a great healer or miracle worker. He is a very humble man. A reporter asked him what he wanted to ask Jesus when he got to heaven and he replied, " I want to ask Jesus, why me? I was a better farmer than I was a preacher." Mr. Grahams message has always been about Christ. We are all sinners. None of us want to admit we are sinners, but sin is an offense to the cross. The cross is the only hope that we have as sinners. Our hope and salvation is at the foot of the cross and Jesus shed His blood for us. That is the message that he gave to 220,000 million people on every continent around the world for over six decades. It is a lasting message that has spanned the centuries and will continue until Jesus returns. Maybe we complicate things to much these days. Perhaps we should take our minds off politics and prosperity and put in on the simple message that has lasted for over 2000 years.

I this was just playing around and suggesting we ought focus on overcoming our own flesh desires that keep us in sin... BTW it depends on which Hebrew Alphabet one uses the Aramaic or older Phoenician .... I don't think God complicates things... Hi Hall7, Looks like a great vacation! The helicopter drop off for snow boarding at the top of the mountain was cool. Beautiful snow covered mountaintops from the helicopter window too. I've never snow boarded before, but do enjoy kayaking from time to time. Would love to kayak where you did surrounded by those picturesque mountains. Although you made it look fun I personally would pass on the 134 meter bungee jump you did! Instead of first creating this elaborate system of converting letters to numbers. I don't see the connection. How does adding up numbers lead us to the conclusion you are trying to get us to reach? i think we should define church.... it is my understanding that there is only one church and that is basically all of us. you can have a place of worship with one single person.

It can be in a small little house with a couple who gather.My favorite is praying among just one friend.It does not have to be in a church.

The word Jesus used for "church" in the Greek was ecclesia, which simply means "gathering of people" or "assembly", more specifically one that was called out. It was a normal Greek word. So one could say the "Church" is Jesus' assemly or congregation - His people n- we who are called out from the World unto Him.

I do not know when our Lord is going to rapture the church.Date setting is a no no.It could be in the next second or it could be years.Their are many on this board who are not believers of Pre-trib rapture.That is their choice.I am a pre-tribber.
