There is a crisis coming the magnitude of which we have little comprehension. Jesus called it “distress of nations with perplexity”. There will be no answers, no solutions, no way out. Remember 9/11? For a month or two after that everyone and their cocker spaniel went to church and confessed faith in ‘God’. And, to my personal horror, the US president decides to get up into the pulpit and proclaim from there, as if he was preaching a ‘godly Christian evangelical gospel message’...”he who is not with us is against us”. I got real angry at that. But on another level was not surprised. In the coming crisis we will witness the same again. Churches will be packed. The churches will unite together, and even with the government, in standing against a common threat. The problem is that they will all be united, not on the basis of Biblical or doctrinal truth…not on the basis of a desire to share the gospel with the world…not on the basis of sharing the love of Jesus with their neighbours…but purely and simply out of self preservation. Jesus said that the rulers will have no solutions, and everyone will be panicking. So they turn to religion. Not the religion taught in the Bible, but the new-age Christ-consciousness counterfeit religion taught on TV by such as Copeland and Winfrey, and espoused by the popular press and media. It will be a mixture of New age…apostate Protestantism…and Roman Catholicism. The confusion of Babylon the Great. They will offer up prayers and make all manner of well meaning and pious pronouncements and a pretence of repentance while the crisis deepens, and when no answers come, will look around for some-one to blame who hasn’t joined them in their sincere but hopeless charade. That some-one who they will target will be those who refuse to worship their global church/state union and image of the medieval papal beast, and who refuse to accept the ‘mark’ of the beast’s authority. And my friend, this mark has nothing to do with fiscal convenience. The seal is the opposite, and the seal has everything to do with worship and loyalty to the true Creator God. The fiscal aspect…that is the buying and selling aspect…is merely an inducement to accept the mark. An inducement to worship according to the dictates of man. Other inducement will be fines, then jail, and finally the death sentence. The coming crisis will reveal the true character of both the righteous and the wicked. It will not form character, but expose it. Thus will the true fruits be revealed of who belongs to Jesus , and who doesn’t. The harvest will then be seen to be ripe, both wheat and tares are ripe for harvest, the angels will first come and bundle the tares to be burned, then the wheat to be gathered into God’s barn. (See Rev.14) Armageddon is the war that precedes this. A war that ensues between the false ‘Christian’ world, and the true. Remember, the entire world is caught up in this crisis. Jesus said we will be hated of all nations for His name's sake. The entire world joins with the beast and the false prophet to worship the false counterfeit system….the nations of the world unite against God’s people, spiritual Israel. Remember also what Jesus said about us at this time? We will be called to testify before Kings and before the rulers of this world. We will be called to account for our ‘heresy’ before the courts. It will be a repeat of the dark ages under papal rule, only on a global scale. And Protestantism is walking right into it. Do any of you dear readers now begin to understand how a focus on the Middle East and upon literal Israel is just a red herring of the enemy of our souls and part of his deceptions? There is far more import to your being prepared for the coming crisis than simply observing the politics of the Middle east. You need to be personally prepared. You need to know what you believe, and why. Because my friends, you will be called to defend your beliefs before a world that will hate everything you claim to stand for. All the while they claiming to stand for the truth, and you being inspired of Satan. Israel will have nothing to do with your confession before the courts. Your support for Israel or lack thereof will be utterly meaningless when you are questioned regarding your loyalties to Christ, when the lies and corruptions of Rome are held before you as evidence of your loyalty to Rome, when it is revealed that you haven't yet fully come out of her, believing as you still do in her fundamental doctrines. Will you be prepared then to reject her mark of authority while standing before a court sworn to your destruction if found guilty? “If they call the Master of the house Beelzebub, what will they do to His servants”.

I wrote this just prior to the final inauguration of Trump a year ago. This was at the height of the black lives mater protests and the inordinate focus on over-the-top police responses. Four principle emotions were running rampant throughout the United States at that time. Fear…self-preservation…anger…hatred. Also, an overwhelming distrust of western democracy due to corruption, the inability or unwillingness to face real issues, and a deep abiding suspicion that their government representatives are selling their nation out to globalist self serving power hungry banking cartels. This situation is eeringly similar to what was taking place in Europe in the 1920s, and which blinded everyone to the dangers of totalitarianism in the rise of Hitler. Tremendously popular, promising future greatness, charismatic….it was Abraham Lincoln who wisely said, perhaps prophetically, “familiarize yourself with the chains of bondage and you prepare your own limbs to wear them. Accustomed to trample on the rights of others, you have lost the genius of your own independence and become fit subjects of the first cunning tyrant who rises among you. From the ineffectiveness of liberal left wing governments are we seeing the other extreme in reaction? Is it possible that both sides may have been successfully infiltrated by the same people who are fomenting unrest on all sides deliberately to accomplish a greater purpose? Think about it. Was the behaviour of the police normal? NO!! Was the behaviour of the people normal? NO!! Is the behaviour of the left today normal? NO! What if both sides have among them agents of one who while professedly a friend to all but by division and creation of violence bring about a public reaction in favour of bringing this entity to power? Like Jesuits for example who would like nothing more than the formation of an extreme right-wing Protestant theocracy which would be under control of those self same Jesuits... (please note that all four candidates in the recent past election were closely associated with Jesuits? 2 of them attended Jesuit schools...one other was staunchly Catholic, the 4th, Clinton, her husband was Jesuit educated. Know this that whatever you learn from Jesuits, it must include political globalist Roman inspired and Roman led socialism.) ....who have been infiltrating Protestant theological seminaries and universities for decades. Then through the current ecumenical movement (like the several meetings and rallies that have been held since) hand over American democracy lock stock and barrel into the hands of Rome???

The dark history of Rome is very well documented...from first hand witnesses as given in such books as Foxes Book of Martyrs, or historical treatises such as Wylie's Historical books on the reformation and the Waldenses. Catholics such as I once was, brought up and instructed only in catechism and a very selective perspective of history, never learn these things concerning the dark side until we are free from Roman influence and able to conscientiously distinguish between truth and error, and break free of the fear attached to loosening oneself from the "you must obey the church or else" dictates of Rome. What helps further is true Biblical education in relation to theology...soteriology...and prophecy...all of which have been distorted and corrupted through the influence of Jesuits disguising themselves as Protestant teachers and professors even in Protestant universities and colleges. What the reformation began has yet to be completed...full and complete rejection of everything that the Vatican promulgates as "Catholic or Christian truth". What passes for Protestantism today, as well as the many independent non-denominational churches that proliferate Christianity, would unite in the truth by default in proportion to the extent to which they repudiate Roman Catholic principles and dogmas. We have a way to go to completely "come out of her My people".

Fear of being the antichrist p2
brakelite replied to mat007's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Most will disagree with me here, but the Antichrist is NOT an individual but a succession of rulers over an Antichrist system, which is the roman Papacy. You are definitely not the antichrist. The true Antichrist began its illustrious career of usurping the authority of Christ, trampling upon the saints, introducing paganised counterfeit Christianity into the church when she gained autonomy in 538AD. If however you are a part of that system, you need to come out. -

I wonder what the folks that live on other words look like. How do they recognise one another? Do those from alpha-zip3 look different from planet Zykos in the third realm of Arcturus? (Cut me some slack here, I have no idea what I am talking about, but hey, we are all fantasising here right?) So are the Arcturians green, and the Zykonians blue? How will they recognise humans? We are all colours!!! So I figure that when I am on my annual vacations, flying through parts of the universe where even angels fear to tread, I will be wearing my new favourite T shirt. On the front will be written...I Survivied Planet Earth. -

I think I will need to be able to sing a whole lot better than now before I get invited into any angelic choir. What will be interesting is that we will be singing songs in which angels cannot participate. Songs of the redeemed. -

But no more death, so you wont be eating that fish...let it go and it'll be a flying fish until it belly flops. Vegetarians only in heaven and the new earth. -
While on that subject, Genghis Khan may have been ruthless with his political enemies, but was remarkably tolerant to all religions. Several of his immediate descendants within just a couple of generations became Christians and ruled over Christian empires numbering 100s of thousands of people.

I don't miss the eighties so much...but I sure miss being an 80s 30 something....seems I could get around a whole lot faster in those days...I could even shoot a hoop from the 3 point line....pass by a public toilet without asking myself if I can make it to the next one....get whacked by a cuddly toy without bruising....not getting bothered by glare off the white eye-brows.... Although as one gets older one gets more excited by the little things in life...like surviving a swim with the grand-kids without getting drowned...and not being overwhelmed with embarrassment as you show them pictures of you from the eighties dressed for church in flared corduroy...

Catholic apologists go to the well worn reasoning that because Jesus promised that the gates of hell would not prevail over the church, then the RCC must have the truth, to the exclusion of all others. What all Catholics are not taught, myself included as a young man, was that outside of Rome there was a vibrant powerful Christian community that grew and converted millions. What Rome has attemtped to do is hide and destroy the evidence of such...trying to convince the world that she was the only shop in town. Not so. The Celtic church in Britain. The Waldenses. The Ethiopian church. The Albigenses. The Assyrian church that presided over a vast parish that stretched from Persia through India all the way to China. Entire kingdoms in China were Christian. In fact, the main reason that Europe wasn't defeated by Mongolian armies was that so many of the Khan families were Christians. The gates of hell did not prevail over the true faith...it is just that Rome didn't have it.

Okay, as anyone will see as they view my profile pic, I'm a surfer. I have often wondered if surfing in the new earth will be an option. Why not? I know that the Bible says there will be no more sea, but that is in the context of there being no more earth or heaven as previously existed, yet we know there will be a new heaven and a new earth, so why not sea? After all, where will the river of life run into? However, I am also considering that riding comets could be an option...they have a real cool wake behind them. -

Remember....who so ever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement.... -
Throughout scripture we are told that poor stewards are removed from their position, and judged. Shebna for example was a leading light in Hezekiah's reign but took advantage of his stewardship for selfish purposes and was removed from office. Stewardship means caring for and protecting property/gifts that ultimately belong to another. This gentlemen means your wives. You are admonished to even lay your own lives down for them as Christ lay His life down for the church. Should you take your gift to use as your own property and abuse that gift in any way, God has every right, and will indeed enact that right, by taking that stewardship from you by removing your wife from the relationship. God does not take lightly those who beat or abuse those for whom Christ died.

Man is judged on the basis of their accepting the mark. This MUST be by choice. God does not judge anyone based on coercion. I believe the time is coming when many will be forced to receive some form of identification, which will be tied to technology that is capable of shutting down a persons access to buying and selling. This, when reading revelation, is only logical deduction. What is NOT logical is God judging people for being forced to receive it. Injecting any type of ID/chip/whatever by force cannot be the basis for judging those who otherwise may very well be true born again believers in Christ. Thus the mark of the beasts cannot be a mere chip or ID. It goes deeper than that...read again revelation 13...it involves deception, and it involves worship and it involves authority. The chip, or whatever is ultimately designed to control our banking and access to the "system", is merely the means used as an inducement to receive the true mark...or inducement to bow down and worship according to the dictates of man...the 666 system....the global Babylonian ecumenical cartel. And guys and gals, pleeease do some genuine research. The concept of a pre-tribulation rapture...the concept of a 7 year tribulation...the concept of a future individual riding in on a war-horse ravaging God's people is a myth created by the very powers that be whose authority it is most of you already bow down to through worshiping according to their dictates and dogmas. Most of the world is already wondering after the beast. Most of the world is already pounding on his door pleading to enter and be in his exalted presence. Most of the world is already fully convinced that his system of governance and worship is the only answer to the world's problems. And that includes the church. While y'all wait for the big angry monster/beast to appear over the future prophetic horizon with guns blazing and aimed at anything and everything Christian in general and at Israel in particular, the true Antichrist is already leaning over the proverbial back fence tantalisingly and lovingly inviting you to his barbecue. And you have already bought into his sophistry and lies, and are promising to attend, even bringing dessert. Y'all are so confident you know what the mark of the beast is, yet only one or two of you have any clear idea on who the beast is. Listen carefully. a. It was the beast's own idea that there is yet to be a 7 years tribulation. b. It was the beast's own idea that there is to be a future individual 'beast'/antichrist yet to come. c. It was the beast's own idea that the church won't be here when he arrives. d. This entire futurist concept idea came at a time when all of the reformers, again ALL OF THEM, even though they may have disagreed on other things, were unanimous on this one point...the true identity of the real Antichrist who in Paul's day was yet to come, but in John's day whose spirit had arrived preparing the way, and in the days of the early church was even then rising to power as a result of the daily (Roman paganism) being taken away making way for the rise of the Antichrist, the abomination of desolation (Roman papalism). e. a,b,c above all have effectively hidden the true identity of the true Antichrist/beast from the modern church, thus giving him virtual free reign to do as he pleases...that is to fulfil to the letter the prophecy of 2 Thess...to enter the temple (the church) of God and proclaim himself as God. And unless you open your eyes and hearts to the truth, you will all be deceived and bow down to his authority and receive his mark. Only those who have a clear understanding of who antichrist actually is, will understand what his mark is and not be deceived into receiving it.

No, he did not. If the Gentiles and Jewish Christian believers were meeting on Sundays and ignoring the Sabbath, do you honestly believe the Jewish legalists would be concerned only about circumcision? Do you honestly think that with all the ruckus and controversy, the debates and arguments, the persecutions and counsels that resonated throughout Paul's ministry was bereft of any mention of Sabbath keeping because the Jews quietly laid down their Torah and kept silent on that issue but raised Jihad over circumcision? The ONLY explanation for the silence, is that Paul, the apostles, and every Jewish and Gentile convert to the new faith kept the Sabbath therefore giving the Judaisers and legalists no argument to make. Think about that. Take a look carefully at the book of Acts. Count the number of times the Sabbath is mentioned. Not just Paul's observance of it, but the number of times Gentiles came to the synagogue to hear Paul's preaching...on the Sabbath! Not the first day of the week.

You disagree with this????? What kind of Christianity is it that teaches we must not give up sin and evil habits???? For goodness sake, what does the "death of self " mean to you if not the forsaking of sin? And I will stress most assuredly, that this.... Agrees with and is in complete harmony with all the gospel writers, including John who said "If any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him". 1 John 2:15. As for the following, This simply reflects a lack of faith in the power of our risen Saviour. "All things are possible to them that believe".
-
I asked for scriptural evidence for the above statement. One would think it would be very easy to do considering how popular Sunday observance is, and how prevalent it is in the church. But all you could reply was .... ....and I am sorry to say, is quite untrue. As for the following.... I gave more than a dozen examples among many many more (thus not just "proof texts', that explicitly and forcefully declare that the Sabbath Day is the Lord's special sanctified holy day...a day set aside to commemorate creation and redemption. No other day in all scripture is so treated in such a special and careful way. And where does The Lord did not rise on Saturday. come from???? Whoever suggested He did?????
-
Not at all. But even Paul did not have the authority to overturn a commandment. All he could do was repeat what he had been previously shown or what the Lord had previously stated Himself. And nowhere does he teach that Sabbath observance has been done away with. He certainly had plenty of opportunities, his dissertations and debates with the Jews and his counsel to the gentiles throughout the book of Acts is utterly devoid of any reference to such a change in faith and practice among God's people. To claim Romans 14 refers to Sabbath keeping is an assumption, as the Sabbath is not mentioned, and Colossians 2 doesn't do what most hope because the Sabbaths mentioned are those that were shadows. The weekly Sabbath was never a shadow, but a memorial. The fact is there is NO conclusive evidence for a change in the 4th commandment as having no further application to Christians, thus to cast upon the heads of Sabbath keepers such epithets as heretics and legalists, is unfounded and reckless. What turns my head is the fact that some admit we don't charge people with sin on disobeying (true), but then charge us with claiming people are unsaved if they don't obey!!! What kind of contradictory language is that? Then those same ones charge us with believing and teaching that in order to be saved, we must keep the Sabbath! That my friend is a cute twist, but nevertheless a lie. The truth is, is that if truth is revealed to someone and they either a. reject it without investigation or b. reject it knowing it to be true, then it is sin. Wilful ignorance and disobedience is sin. To know to do good and not doing it, it is sin. It is not my work here to judge peoples' consciences. I do not know where their hearts lie, or what motivates them. I simply choose to reveal what I believe scripture teaches, and thus far what many purport to be 'rebuttals' and/or 'corrections', are nothing but inflammatory condemnation and baseless unbiblical assumptions. The only counter is to attack my personal choices regarding my church affiliation, or to judge my Sabbath keeping on their erroneous legalistic interpretations. They think a Sabbath keeper should be offering animal sacrifices in the temple. Little do they realise that the Sabbath was a holy day long time before any sacrifice was necessary...that the sacrifice did nothing to make the day more holy. In Exodus 16 the Lord remonstrated with the Israelites (before Sinai note) that they weren't keeping his laws, statutes, or commandments. Why? Not because they weren't acrificeing anything, because such ceremonies had yet to be introduced...it was because they refused to stop work. Period.

Very picturesque language as one would expect from a writer, but as flat and dry as the Nullabor Plains.

You are doing here what the magisterium do for Catholics...decide how we are to interpret scripture. Your commentary is unwarranted...unscriptural...and impossible. Why? Because it was God who blessed the Sabbath day. It is not up to us to decide that every day is alike, nor was it up to Paul or any of the apostles, nor was it up to the church. No-one has that authority. No-one! Only God can unbless, unsanctify, and remove the sacredness from a day He made sacred. And there is absolutely NO evidence anywhere in scripture that such has been the case. You have not provided any, nor has anyone else. The day is not made holy by our observance of it, nor do we add to it. However, we can mix the holy with the profane, thus dishonouring what God has deemed honourable. I am not trying to convince you to keep the 4th commandment. But I will defend to the death the true Biblical mandate for my doing so and resolutely deny any hint or suggestion that my doing so contributes to my salvation. That said, I will also resolutely deny any suggestion that once truth is known and accepted, a rejection of that truth will not affect salvation. Scripture please? I follow no prophet...true or false. No-where on this forum have I once used the writings of anyone other than in the Bible as the foundation for my belief, except perhaps as in cases of better elucidating my thoughts. But scripture is the foundation of my faith and practice. Always was, always will be. When you can produce scripture that teaches that the Sabbath is no longer binding on Christians, without your personal commentary to decorate it, I will listen. For example, you declare that there is a day called the 'Lord's Day'. True. However, the only time such a day is directly mentioned is in Revelation 1. Because at that point there is no mention of any explanation as to what day is explicitly the 'Lord's Day', then we must go elsewhere in scripture for our answer. There are only two real contenders. The first day of the week known as Sunday, or the 7th day we know as Sabbath. That the resurrection took place on Sunday is no more evidence for a appellation being attached to the first day of the week such as 'The Lord's Day' any more than that the crucifixion took place on Friday...why not call that the "Lord's Day'? Or what about the ascension? Another point. Are you aware that John wrote his gospel after he wrote the book of revelation? And that in the gospel he never referred to the first day of the week as the Lord's Day, only as the first day? No evidence anywhere else of the first day being called the Lord's Day, nothing other than church tradition. So is there any evidence that the Lord's Day is the Sabbath? Yes, indeed. Jesus own words declaring "I am Lord even of the Sabbath Day". Here we have harmonious agreement with many other scriptures which quote God as saying of the Sabbath being "My holy day"(Isa 58:13)... "My Sabbaths" Exodus 31:13; Levit. 19:3; 23:3; ...the "Sabbath of the Lord thy God" (Deut. 5:14)...even Nehemiah prayed in Nehemiah 9:14 "and made known unto them thy holy Sabbath....see also Ezek. 20:12,13,16,20,21,24;22:8,26; 23:38...all declaring that the Sabbath day is the Lord's Day. I could give numerous other examples. It is the Lord's Day...not mine, not yours, not the Jews...but HIS! This echoes across the pages of scripture from Genesis to Revelation without even the slightest hint or suggestion of any change or alteration. I would suggest that any honest man or women would declare such evidence entirely conclusive. Therefore the aged apostle John on the island of Patmos had received the revelation on the Sabbath. The Lord's Day. And to claim because the 4th commandment isn't directly and repeatedly commanded in the new testament must mean it has been done away with is ludicrous. As if God changes such an integral precept of His holy law without as much as a whimper, or that by changing the practice of observing the day 'spiritually' by 'resting in Christ' , another assumed doctrine, the commandment is thus superseded. Also nonsense. Therein is the perfect example of God's commandments being cast aside by tradition.

The greatest defence against the presence of demons is the presence of God. The presence of God, as simple jeff implied, comes about through His word. "The entrance of thy word giveth light". Jesus is the Word, and is the Light of life. Darkness cannot abide in light. They cannot co-exist in the same place. First thing every morning invite Christ into the home...the life. Read you Bible. Ask Him to walk with you throughout the day, and as Michael humbly submitted to the authority of God by saying "the Lord rebuke you", so may you find that your submission and humility will bring about the answers you seek. I agree also with matrix in that you truly need to examine yourself. Any unconfessed sin in the life opens doors that the enemy can take advantage of. That said, I have been where you are. Manifestations that terrified my wife would make me angry. I would charge through the house in righteous indignation demanding they leave, using the name of Jesus constantly. "How dare you disturb my peace" I would say. "You have no rights here, we belong to another". This kind of attitude, at least for me and in that place, brought relief, albeit temporary. More permanent relief from those spirits came about when we moved house. This was however 40 years ago when we were young in Jesus and learning. Not so sure how I would react today if such a thing repeated. What I do know however is that a time is coming when demonic manifestations will increase exponentially and we need to learn how to confidently deal with them through faith in the power of our risen Savior.
