  1. Will even though I didn't start taking the medicine the correct way yet, my blood sugar reading this morning after work was 100, and when I got up to take my it, it was still 100. So praise God, that is a very steady blood sugar, and for a diabetic low.
  2. Jesus address spiritual pride and the following parable: 10) Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11) The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee that i am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as the publican. 12) I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I possess. 13) And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14) I tell you this man went down to his house justified rather that the other; for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased: and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:10=14 Sorry about the equal sign but my computer keyboard is acting up. But spiritual pride is the most deadly sin, mankind faces. Because it states i am just as good as anybody if not better. Spiritual pride will keep one from coming to Christ Jesus, because just as the Pharisee in this story the person will not see they need for the redeemer; but spiritual humility allows us to see our great need for Christ. I think we all have a little spiritual pride which isn't good, but too much will keep people away from Jesus. I know this because when a man name Jerry told me about Jesus Christ; I said I needed Him with my mouth, but in my heart and mind I was like i am just as good as anyone else. So it took God a good half year to convince me as Paul stated i am the chiefest of sinners who needs the gift of grace that God thru Jesus give to all man, I was so prideful the Holy Spirit had to open my eyes to my spiritual wickedness. Although seeing this thread reminds me of that old saying; some people think they are so humble they wear their humble button with great pride.
  3. Just call my doctor office found out I have been taken my medicine incorrectly, as they just give me some new stuff glipzide; to go with my methforim. suppose to take them together at the same meals and I haven't been doing that.
  4. I have tried the LGI diet lately especially with the late snacking/meal try to eat nuts (which most are rated at 0 on the LGI, so that shouldn't cause problems) or eating some type of veggies. But I haven't really been paying attention to the calories will have to look into that. Thanks Willa. I also was trying to increase my water intake from about 80 oz. a day to about a gallon, but have had problems with that as the last two days I have drunk will over 150 oz. a day, not real sure that is a bad thing except for the fact that working in frozen those two nights, bathroom breaks really increase.
  5. Most of Americans eat their smallest meal for breakfast and their largest meal at dinnertime. That is bad for keeping the weight off, it should be the opposite. Do you see an endocrinologist for your diabetes? They almost always have a dietician in the clinic that you can consult with. Have seen one before but really don't know how they could help. But plan on calling my doctor today to see if I should take my medicine differently.
  6. If a person claiming Christ as their Savior, is always mean to people, they will cause a great stumbling block or occasion to fall; and Paul announces this as something to always be judge, Romans 14:13 see also I Corinthians 2:15. John even tells us to try the spirits, or judge them, as to whether they are of God, I John 4:1. Jesus said: Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John 7:24 Christian are always to be fruit inspectors that is does this person bear the signs of the Fruit of the Spirit.
  7. We have a Holy God, who delights in mercy to give to those who fear Him. People have a problem overall with taking responsibilities for our own shortcomings. We forget that we are sinners we have all had such wickedness in our lives that a just God would have every right to destroy each and everyone of us immediately. But this Holy God we serve because He is so loving and merciful gave His Son so that we might be adopted or born again into the Kingdom of God. But this God who is Holy hates sin and after making a way for each of us to escape; if we neglect this gift of grace thru Jesus; God because He is Just and Holy must reward the wicked for their own doing if not God would be turning a blind eye to their deeds, which would make Him compliance to their evil acts. As for the good dying young, God sometimes lets people died young so they will not see evil to come; Isaiah 57:1
  8. So having a problem with waking up and not being able to eat much, because of my sinuses always draining to my stomach. So that as a diabetic my smallest meal is my breakfast and my largest meal is my last meal. So that after getting home from work and not eating for two hours my blood sugar should be between 140-180, yet the last three days it has been will under that 107, 108, 103 which excellent praise God; but because of eating late and often going straight to bed, after sleeping without food for more than 8 hours it should be between 100-125; but the last two days it has been 217 and 156 definitely this is not good. Does anyone know of anything that might help me with this problem, so that I might eat my biggest meal at the beginning of my day and not the end?
  9. Yea Ezra kinda with you on that I admire them for trying to be all things so that some will come to Christ; but also wonder if this something like what Paul rebuke Peter for when eating with the Gentiles til the Jews came, but until.i am sure I will side with the MJ.
  10. And ye shall know the truth and the truth, shall make you free. John 8:32 Jesus words to the Jews, later Jesus tells us that the word is truth, John 17:17. But as so many have already stated unfortunately many believers don't follow this, sometimes because of honest misunderstanding of scriptures and sometimes it is just willful disobedience. In John 3:19-20 it speaks of those who are evil who hate the light; but the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ our spoken of this way: But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:21 James speak of believers who do not follow the truth of God's word as being hearers of the word and not doers who deceive themselves, James 1:22-24. But he describes those who are doers as being bless: But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1:25 And when we consider that in James 1:22 we are told to be a doer of the word, yet James states a doer of the work in 1:25; I think it leave one to wonder if this is what James mean about dead faith for in James 2:12 he speaks of this law of liberty than perceive to tell us about faith without work being dead.
  11. Amen, agree but one question in the above underline part do they insist all Christians not eat pork, or just those of Messianic Jewish belief? I have heard of MJ believers that do this not meaning to cause division but are just trying to witness to the Jewish non believers. Knowing that if that are not kosher they will only get a deaf ear from non believing Jews.
  12. It's not difficult to grasp what you're saying. I understand it perfectly. It's just not scriptural. Why is it so difficult to grasp the fact that Daniel 9:27 says that the covenant is confirmed for seven years, not 3.5? How does the man of sin confirm this covenant for the remaining 3.5 years after he breaks it? And what kind of covenant is it? I noticed that your reply was again scripture deficient. If all you have is unsubstantiated claims, well, that's about as profitable as talking to ayatollahs. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. Daniel 9:27 This doesn't speak of making a covenant. The covenant was already made. This speaks of confirming, or strengthening, it for seven years. Are you saying that Daniel is wrong and that the covenant is only confirmed for 3.5 years? Amen and this Covenant is spoken of in Galatians 3:14=20 (have to use = sign as my dash key is not working. For we see the promise of Abraham, Galatians 3:16, is confirmed through Christ: And this I say that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. Galatians 3:17 Here we see Paul use the same language as Daniel in Daniel 9:27 The promises made to the fathers was again confirmed by Jesus Christ, see Romans 15:8. I myself see the last week of Daniel seventy week being the first three and half years as Jesus Christ's earthly ministry, and in the middle of the week He was crucified, the last half of the week was when the Gospel message was solely Jewish. For we see these remarks of the Jewish believers concerning Cornelius baptism in the Holy Spirit: When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Acts 11:18 IMO this is because the last 3 and a half years of the 70 weeks prophesy was that period where the Gospel message was solely Jewish, but one it ended; the Gospel message became universal, given even unto us Gentiles.
  13. 6) This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only but by water and blood, And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7) For there are Three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these Three are One. 8) And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit and the water and the blood and these three agree in one. I John 5:6-8 These three verse come just before I John 5:9-10 and IMHO are a landmark that God put here because He knew that the devil would convince many that most of I John 5:7 was added which of course it wasn't. For we read that the witness of God is greater than the witness of man in I John 5:9. So that in verse 6 the water and blood refers to mans witness while we read of this witness in I John 5:8, but when John just speaks the words not by water only he is referring to the witness of God at Christ baptism. This is God witness and is referred to in I John 5:7. We see the witness of man at Jesus death. We read in John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and He gave up the Ghost. Of course we know that Ghost is another word for Spirit. Than later we read 34) But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 35) And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true; and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. John 19:34-35 So we see the blood and water coming out of the Body of Jesus side after that the Spirit has depart, and than we John wrote this gospel so that in verse 35, John gives us the witness of man. This is the water and blood of verse 6 and the water and blood and Spirit which agree in one in verse 8. Now when we read John Gospel message of the Baptism of Jesus; John never saith he witness it however we see another John speaking (this was John the Baptist), 32) And John bare record saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him. 33) And I knew Him not: but He that sent me to baptize with water, the Same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on HIm, the Same is He which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost . 34) And I saw and bare record that this is the Son of God. John 1:32-34 John the Baptist bare record according to this passage but when we read verse 33 we see that the Father guide him so that this was God record of Himself. Remember in all other Gospel the Father speaks from heaven while the Spirit descend upon the Son, and each of these Gospel the Father states This is/ Thou are My Beloved Son, in Whom I Am well pleased... Matthew 3:16-17; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 3:21-22. So we see that water only in I John 5:6 is the water of the Baptism of Jesus, and it is God witness of Himself as Three in One I John 5:7, this is similar to the witness of the Word in Isaiah 48:16-17. For at Christ baptism we hear the Father's voice and see the Spirit as a Dove, and of course Christ was there. So that water and blood refers to Christ fluids that came from his pierce side, but the water only refers to Christ Baptism.
  14. Thanks Jeff this is a great help.
  15. Appreciate the reply Gary and I can agree with what are you saying, but I get confuse when I read the following: 2) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. 3) If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. I Peter 2:2-3 I can honestly see this as Jesus Christ when reading I Peter 1:25, but just a little baffled from the above verses 2:2-3, which seems to be speaking of scriptures; for some reason just having trouble with this, i am either missing something or trying to read to much into it..
  16. So as I continue to study I Peter 1:17-2:3; I continue to have problems identifing if it Word as in Jesus, or word as in the Scriptures or perhaps both. I know this passage is quoting Isaiah 40:7-11. But am confused at if it is Jesus direcly or what? Appreciate any help, sorry about not writing the passage out but doing this on a smart phone.
  17. And rightly so. But the only thing to fear is fear itself. No. We have to fear spiders too. Proof that MG is one of the wisest if not wisest woman in the world. The check's in the mail, duggarfan. I thought we agreed I would get some snickerdoodles; greatest cookie God ever made.
  18. He was oppressed , and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He is brought as a lamb before the slaughter; and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. Isaiah 53:7 Yea, I would say Jesus was pretty silent, although as Shiloh mentioned, He did speak some. Solomon gave some good advise for all of us in Ecclesiastes: 1) Keep thy foot when thou goest, to the house of God; and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools; for they consider not that they do evil. 2) Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy word be few. Ecclesiastes 5:1-2
  19. And when He was at the place, He said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. Luke 20:40 Here we see Jesus speaking to all the Apostles, but was it just meant for them? In Matthew 26:40-41 and Mark 14:37-38 scripture specially tells us that Jesus address Peter and ask why he couldn't watch for even one hour, so was that just for Peter or maybe all of us? Are do you think it was only for this time when Judas betrayed Jesus? Would really appreciate any thoughts on this subject.
  20. That is interesting according to the information I read we are both Advocates, and yet it is rather rare. What I read stated that less than one percent of people have this personality.
  21. Rather enjoy the test; My personal type Advocate; Role--Diplomat; Strategy--Constant Improvement. Introverted 7%; Intuitive 41%; Feelings 26%; Turbulent 68%. The only problem here is I see myself as much more introverted than 7%.
  22. Hello Yourlocalbutcher, and welcome to Worthy. 3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. 4) And that He was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. I Corinthians 15:3-4 The above passage of scripture tells us that Christ died for our sins, He did this because we are all sinners, Romans 3:23, and as sinners God requires our death for He is Holy, Romans 5:12. But we are given the gift of grace thru Christ Jesus, that is Jesus Christ is the only Human who never sin, yet He allow Himself to died that all us sinners might have eternal life thru Him: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 So that all one needs to do to have eternal life is accept this gift by acknowledging we are sinners, and confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that Jesus not only died for our sins but also rose from the dead, Romans 10:9-10. To do this all one hath to do is pray Heavenly Father, I come to you a sinner, knowing that Your Son Jesus Christ died for my sins and asked You, to forgive me in Jesus' name for my sins and His gift of grace, while believing this in your heart and God will give you eternal life.
  23. It means we understand the Gospel of Christ and have love for the Brethren: 21) Who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. 22) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren see that ye love one another with a pure heart, fervently: 23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. I Peter 1:21-23 God's love is perfect love, and when the Holy Spirit get holds of the Believer, they will love as James states in James 2:8-26; or as John state: 16) Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17) But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18) My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. I John 3:16-18 This kind of love is the kind that God will reward, and shows the true believers Hebrews 6:9-10; John 13:34-35.
  24. And rightly so. But the only thing to fear is fear itself. No. We have to fear spiders too. Proof that MG is one of the wisest if not wisest woman in the world.
