  1. Thank you both Ezra and Marilyn, both of your views are very sound and much better than what I once was taught and believed.
  2. Daniel 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. So is the they the Roman empire, or something/one else?
  3. You are not alone, I also struggle with this monster of porn addiction there are time by God great grace He deliver me from it and I have often wonder if Revelation 3:17-18 is written concerning this. Praying for you.
  4. Haven't read all of your work plan on doing it Saturday night when I don't work. But really like and agree with what I have read so far. If it wasn't for the Rapture Theory I would consider myself Indepent Baptist but I can't in good conscience agree with it and feel some IB hold this in to high of regard.
  5. Thanks Patriot two nights in roll I got to jam to Carmen at work.
  6. Maybe i'm just looking in the wrong places but in over 6 years I hardly know nothing of our current President. I can't find much information on President Obama at all. But in the last 6 weeks I have learned more about the Duggar Family than even I want to know; and of course while much of it is lies, some of it is true. I do love and prayer for the Duggar Family, but find it so confusing that I know more of this family than I do President Obama. Does anyone know where I can find believable information of President Obama or might you be like me confused why you can't find most information about the current President.
  7. Judge others when they cause an offense or a stumbling block to others, this is how Paul states it, Romans 14:13. This is how the spiritual man judges things I Corinthians 2:16. Jesus also calls this righteous judgment, John 7:24. So that because we need forgiveness we don't judge others of sin, James 2:10-13. But we do judge for causing others to backside or depart from God. In the case of I Corinthians 5, the man hath cause the church a black eye because as I Corinthians 5:1 state this sin is not named aming the Gentiles. And this offence should have been rectify for it was a stumbling block to many.
  8. Amen Bopeep. It is so wonderful to know that God love us so much that He gave the Son, so we could escape His wrath. Great message, thanks for sharing.
  9. I also agree with you the KJV is rather easy to read.
  10. But what I really love about Webster's Translation is using Passover instead of Easter in Acts 12:4. Don't get me wrong I love the KJV and see no fault in it, but never really care for the word Easter in that passage,
  11. Absolutely. And not because of some *tradition* but because of extensive and intensive research into the Bible version issue. At the same time people like Peter Ruckman and Gail Ripplinger give a bad name to those who hold exclusively to the KJB. Amen Ezra, while i'm a KJVP, not KJVO, I agree with you I preferred to call myself more of TRO, although I do also love the Amplified Bible. But my preference is Webster Bible, which is Noah Webster rewriting the KJV in more modern language in 1833. But I still love my KJV.
  12. IMO it is because this is exactly what God the Father did for us thru God the Son. For Paul states that while we were God's enemies Christ died for us: For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled we shall be saved by His life. Romans 5:10 Paul later calls us Ambassadors for Christ II Corinthians 5:20, no Ambassador to Jesus should allow others to harbor bad feeling without trying to clear things up, for Scripture is clear in teaching we should forgive others Matthew 6:14-15; Ephesians 4:32. For if we allow other to be angry with us we become a stumbling block to his/her faith: Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. Romans 14:13 In the life of the Christian the greatest blockade to a person's prayer life is not forgiving others, so if we can do something to help another forgive us even for nothing of our own fault, we keep that person in a right relationship with God, it kinda make us closer to God for Jesus did no wrong at all but put Himself in our place so that we could be children of God.
  13. Amen...... Faith with works is simply walking our talk! to God be the Glory With love-in Christ,Kwik Amen LittleLamb, and Kwik For Paul and James agree with each other if we as Christians would just learn this concept. James writes If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scriptures. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do will. James 2:8 After this we see James speak of the work of faith. But when we go to look at what Paul states he makes it clear that the act or work of faith is love. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Galatians 5:6 Paul even calls having all faith without love/charity as having nothing, I Corinthians 13:2 and any true believer will have the love of God shed abroad in their hearts by the Holy Spirit, Romans 5:5. Peter even describe the true faith with the act of Love in I Peter 1:18-22. For just as James describes true loving faith as giving to a brother or sister in need, James 2:14-17, even so Peter calls this true faith, unfeigned love through the Spirit, I Peter 1:22. John describes this loving faith this way: 16) Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17) But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowel of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18) My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth. I John 3:16-18
  14. 7) But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8) For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. I Timothy 4:7-8 From this passage it seems that godliness is something that we as believers in Christ need to practice or exercise. For if we only have the awareness of this and don't practice it, we are not doers of the word, and will end up deceiving our own selves, James 1:22-25
  15. 26) For this cause God give them up unto vile affections: for even their woman did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use f the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was met. Romans 1:26-27 Just because we don't see these other countries being judge yet doesn't mean they aren't or won't be for God is longsuffering willing that all should come to repentance. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should to repentance. II Peter 3:9
  16. I agree with everyone else, and really like what OneLight, wrote let the Holy Ghost be your teacher.
  17. Amen ^ to everything above. And above all these things put on the charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Colossians 3:14 Charity here is another way of saying love. This is the love of God given to us by the Holy Spirit indwelling, Romans 5:5; I Peter 1:22-23. Probably why Christ say by love we would be known as His disciples, John 13:34-35. And as pretty near everyone else has said we are perfected in Christ Jesus; II Corinthians 5:21, I Peter 3:18.
  18. 1. Why these subtractions in NIV and Good News? IMO these subtractions came during the period that Arianism was in control of the Church; around the 300 to 400 AD, period. But others will tell you verses were added by men like Priscillian who supposedly added Much of I John 5:7 around 350 AD. But the problem with this is that Cyprian quotes all of I John 5:7 in 250 AD. That would be 100 years before the suppose addition. 2. Who are the culprits IMO the culprits of this subtraction is the enemy the devil and his demons. For we see in the Garden of Eden, the serpent attacked Eve, by questioning what God had commanded her and Adam. ...Yea, hath God said, ... Genesis 3:1. If you take a look at your footnotes in Mark 16:9-20; John 7:53-8:11 in the NIV you will see that they question rather these total of 24 verses were added to the Bible. 3. How do we rectify it? I think that Paul would tells us, to speak the Word of God with sincerity. For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. II Corinthians 2:17 4. What should we do as Christians? I believe these verses have been subtracted from the newer translations; but many sincere Christian believe these verses are additions. All we can do is try to convince each other of what we believe to be the true Word of God, and let the Holy Spirit direct the believer as to what translation the individual uses.
  19. IMO, direct placement. I see it this way because of what Paul wrote, concerning believers as God's harvest: 6) I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7) So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase. 8) Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9) For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandy, ye are God's building. I Corinthians 3:6-9
  20. So I got an email telling me I didn't clock out yesterday, when I know I did. My boss also called me, but I ignore it as I was not working today, but so sick of it. I remember clocking out at my last store on Thursday at 1233pm. Next time I get a call from someone i am just asking what did I do wrong now.
  21. So after getting an email stating I missed a clock out, I called the office to find out I didn't miss it, the cell phone I use to clock in on, just takes extra time, sometimes. Really am so fried right now.
  22. So as everyone know I hated my last job, but now after only two months, on this one, I really rather be at Wal-mart, than with this company. This new job has a bigger turnover, than my last job. As for breaks, my brother who help me to get this job waited till I was locked in to tell me, he didn't get many; which is no lie. After busting my behind today to leave it looking good for my boss, he calls to tell me it looks like garage, I thought when I got the job it was an answer to pray, but now wondering did a gracious God give me a snake when I ask for bread. Plus for the second time in 2 weeks forgot to clock out, although I was so sure I did a couple of days ago. Suppose to get 2 days in a row off, yea, not holding my breathe, please pray God grants me a better job, or makes the situation better.
  23. Amen. 9) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10) For it became Him, for Whom are all things, and by Whom are all things, in the bringing many sons unto glory, to make the Captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11) For both He who that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren. Hebrews 2:9-11 IMO while Jesus never sin, but by taking our sins upon Himself as the perfect sacrifice He understood the feeling of failure that sin brings upon each of us. So that this is the reason why Jesus asked for this cup to pass from Him, Luke 22:42; He was completely innocent yet for us sinners, toke our sins that we might be made His Righteousness; II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 3:18. For at Christ first coming He borne our sins, but at His second coming He will appear without sin unto salvation, Hebrews 9:28. Even the best Christian know what it is like to sin, but no believers likes being blame for something he/she didn't do. Yet this is what Jesus did to bring us into the Family of God He took our wicked horrible sins upon Himself. As believers we are now as His Brothers and Sisters and He is the Captain of our Salvation.
  24. Looking at verse 3, I believe that Paul is stating that even food considered by the OT dietary law unclean, Leviticus 11; now under the New Covenant where alright to be eaten by Christians so long as prayer was said over them. For Jesus tells Peter, God has cleansed them, Acts 10:9-15. For eating ham, is a no-no in the Old Testament, but under liberty/NT praying over it and thanking God sanctifies it, for unclean is another way of saying unholy, while sanctify is a way of saying holy.
  25. 36) And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37) They were stoned, they were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented: 38) (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39) And these all having obtained a good report though faith, received not the promise: 40) God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. Hebrews 11:36-40 We as believers do a great disservice to the word faith; by forgetting that it is our trust/belief in Jesus Christ that give us the victory, I John 5:4-5. But this faith requires a daily walk with God, and I really know somewhat where you are coming from Walla, when I trust God to give me something I see the promises in the Bible, and don't get it yet see the ungodly receive the same thing, I know that God is more than capable, yet He doesn't do a thing, it does really cause great pain. I have had my moments of feeling such hatred toward God that i am ashamed of, But as the last 5 verse of the great heroes of faith chapters--Hebrews 11 states true faith will often seem like what the world and most of us believers would called defeat. And true faith trust God even in the difficult times. We see many martyr for the Faith of Christ, crying to the Lord in Revelations 5:9-11. True faith is not just believing for the devils do this...Thou believest, that there is One God; thou doest well: the devils also believe: and tremble. James 2:19 But they don't have a walk with God. I look at the parable of the Unjust Judge in Luke 18:1-8 and see that Jesus is trying to tell us that God the Father hears us all the time and loves us greatly, and notice that He bears with us, will I should say with me when I get uppity with Him, He knows I speak from the pain I feel. And this I truly speak to my shame, and IMO the shame of the church do we really have faith. No i am not talking about the name it claim it false gospel. But the true Gospel of Jesus Christ which tells us we will suffer, II Timothy 3:12. That we are not to love our life, John 12:25; which tells that Christ lay down His life for us so we ought lay down our life for the brethren, I John 3:16. The words of Jesus in Luke 18:8 make me wonder does the modern church really know what a daily walk in faith with God though Jesus is? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of Man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8 True faith is I trust you God, and this is my desire but not my will but Your will and just speaking for myself I find this way hard so often, but the Lord Jesus Christ gave a great example of this, by desiring not to suffer the death of the cross for our sins, but knowing this was the plan and man only hope, went thru with it doing the Father's Will, Luke 22:42. True Biblical Faith: Rachel: cry give me child else I die. John Knox: God give me Scotland else I die. Modern Faith Oral Roberts: God give 8 million dollars else I die. May I and the Church learn to trust Jesus, true faith is to do justly, love mercy (for by it we are saved by Jesus Christ), and to walk humbly with God; Micah 6:8 For this the type of ground that bring forth fruit. Luke 8:8, 15
