  1. So just as the question states how or who do I notify of an email address change? had to change my address as I started to receive way to must junk mail daily on my old account, so I just shut it down, and open a new account.
  2. Will I thought I would enjoy my new job, but really am getting sick of it. Like the first store I do I was told by a manager pallets could be on floor as long as it was not busy, but the two gals who check me in won't aloud a pallet on the floor after 8am. Today my truck came in at 715am, and a hour and half later it was check in, so it was will after 8am, a big truck and had to do it all by hand cart. Was told this shouldn't be happening but really am just sick and tired of it. Listen to family advice about giving up my other job (which I did not like, but the way things are going I really miss it, it is just so painful to try my best and know that I really suck at the job. Thought I would really enjoy this job, and be able to do it better but it much tougher than I thought especially with a late truck pretty much always.
  3. Hello Thomas, and welcome to Worthy. I see no problem with you seeing her occasionally, but I would make sure when you see her in person, to have another believer with you. The main reason to see her would be to testify to her. But whatever you do, do not be unequally yoke with unbelievers, for Paul speaks that we will have to associate with unbelievers, I Corinthians 5:9-10. some; just keep it limited so that you have more than enough time for fellowship with the saints. 14) Be ye not unequally yoke together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are temple of the Living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. II Corinthians 6:14-16 Praying
  4. 1) How do you know if you're growing? One way to tell is do you desire the Word of God, and just from your post, you have this desire. Peter states it this way: As new-born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. I Peter 2:2 In the Book of Acts we are told of the new believers: And they continue in the steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and fellowship and breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42 So that if you are in a NT Church sharing in fellowship and breaking bread and prayer, your growth is most assure. 2) How do you grow when your spirit is willing but your flesh is weak? I think Shiloh gave some excellent advice. But we also see that on the night that Jesus was arrested that He waited with His Apostle, and after they went to sleep on Him, Christ stated: 40) And He cometh to the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith to Peter, What could ye not watch with Me one hour? 41) Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the Spirit is indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41-42 We as Christian have a direct access to the Father thru Christ, so that the Father is always willing to hear from us, but we (and I include myself more than anybody) have a tenacity to think that God is a long distance call and He charges us, but in Jesus we have direct access for free to the Father. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need. Hebrews 4:12 3) What do you do if you are spiritually and mentally exhausted you feel hopeless? This is a sure sign of need of Fellowship. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 By fellowship we receive exhorting that is building up our spirit. That along with pray mention earlier will give us strength. But we must remember we are commanded over and over to renew our minds Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 4:23-24; Colossians 3:10. For Paul states that the believer warfare is a mental battle: 3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself agasinst the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience to Christ. I Corinthians 10:3-5 Paul gives a great example of how to renew our minds: Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8 Keeping our minds on all that is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtue, and praise we are to think on these things, cause in all likelihood these are gifts from the Father.
  5. Perhaps i am wrong Another_Poster, but I think you are thinking of the Law of Liberty. 16) Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of a holy-day, or of the new-moon, or of the Sabbaths. 17) Which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17 From the above passage we see that much of the law was given to bring us to Jesus Christ. If one reads Galatians 3:22-29, we see that the Law was our Schoolmaster to bring us to Christ Jesus. Under Christ many of things that our commanded by the Law are put under the law of liberty or freedom. James 1:25; James 2:12. The two things that aren't most definitely not to change are to love God and our neighbor, Matthew 22:37-40, 13) For, brethren, ye have been called to liberty; only use not this liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14) For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 15) But if ye bite and devour one another one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one by another. Galatians 5:13-15 Paul gives us a clue as to what part of the Old Testament speaks to loving, see Romans 13:8-10.
  6. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father Who is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 Just read Matthew 5:43-47, and you will find out Christ was not commanding sinless perfection, but the perfection of Love thru the Holy Spirit. And above all these things put on the charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Colossians 3:14 Charity is the same as love. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently. I Peter 1:22 Love this is what the Spirit spreads abroad in our hearts, Romans 5:5; and this why Jesus said we would be known by our love, John 13:34-35. From what I understand this is what John Wesley saw as being fully sanctify, not sinlessness, but having God's love so filling our hearts that the brethren can fell it being around you. I have been honored to meet two such people in my life in person and both were women this is when you know that they have been in God's presence. Beside fleeing idolatry, I Corinthians 10:14; one of other sins that God never wants His children to commit, and it is one of the most acceptable sins around. God never will justify a believer being unforgiving, for that matter when we refuse to forgive others is one of the few times, God doesn't call Himself our Heavenly Father, just Father, (and think of what kind of problem were cause when you were disobedient to your earthly father--Hebrews 12:5-11). 14) For, if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15) But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 Here in Matthew's Gospel God is our Heavenly Father who forgives us if forgive others, but if not He is just the Father who doesn't forgive us; by the way this reads we will all sin and need His forgiveness, and it is free as long as we forgive others. Notice God doesn't mention our trespasses at all when we forgive other, because Christ has may us righteous, II Corinthians 5:21; but we are fully charge with our trespasses when we don't forgive others. Paul wrote of His need for Christ forgiveness for sins, even after he accepted Christ: 24) O wretched man that i am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25) I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:24-25 And as the two verses surrounding Willa, I John 1:9 (great verse Willa) state: 8) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. I John 1:8; 10 Great answer, as always Shiloh and Willa.
  7. Thanks for sharing this Kwik, I really needed to hear this.
  8. Hello Tway, and welcome to Worthy. Praying.
  9. Amen! True... Any other thoughts? The post is very well written, some very good points. Can't help but agree with it all. But what would you say when your feelings are control by the reality/facts that you face? I know that if I had received a know promise from God than my faith could be strong in God's ability, just as Abraham was, Romans 4; but except for two dear sister perhaps giving me God's promise (that is speaking to this issue), and maybe a few dreams, I can see no promise.
  10. No rebuke, just discussion. The first seven sevens precedes the 62 sevens and are said to be two different periods, and the final seven come after the 62 Week period. After this period Messiah is cut off. This means that period is over. One could impose Christ into the final Week, and many do, however, imposing Christ being cut off within the final Week has problems, which is the reason for the ten points given in the OP. I will admit, lol, that the list was hastily assembled and I would suggest that it may be a better way to address the issue would be to point out the weaknesses in the list. I do think some good points are raised, but I didn't give it as a refined and tried list. I will go back and make improvements and perhaps return with a more concise list. I have done this very thing with baptismal regeneration which has been refined through objections by those of opposing views. So not sure this directly addresses your point, but perhaps you could rephrase your point if it doesn't. Are you saying the text allows for Christ being cut off mid-week? God bless. I think you understood me right, and I guess we will just simply have to agree to disagree. I hope we all (and speaking to myself also) remember to keep our minds open on this issue for the Jews were told when Christ was to come and because He didn't come as they thought He should, they missed out on His First Coming.
  11. 13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it written, Accursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree: 14) That the blessings of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. 15) Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it is but a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no man disannulleth or addeth to it. 16) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 17) And this I say, that the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18) For if the inheritance is by the law, it is no more by promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. 19) What purpose then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. 20) Now a mediator is not a mediator of one; but God is One, 21) Is the law than against the promises of God? By no means: for if there had been a law given which could give life, verily righteousness would have been by law. 22) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Galatians 3:13-22 IMO the promise(s) of God truly come thru our belief in the precious Savior Jesus Christ. The greatest is the eternal life we receive and if you keep reading this passage from Galatians 3:23 until Galatians 4:7, you will find out that we have been adopted into the Family of God. We see Paul mentioning this also in the following passage: 19) For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, Who was preached among you by us, even by me, and Silvanus, and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in Him was yea. 20) For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God by us. II Corinthians 1:19-20 Riverwalker, that was a great list, thanks for sharing.
  12. Thanks for all the responses, they have really helped. I guest this is what i am getting at I don't think I would say they have offended my sensetivities, just having troubled understanding how one, can so blindly follow this thought, hopefully it is just i am zealous for the truth. Please prayer that I can receive a special measure of God Spirit of Grace, to know when to end this conversation, and speak/write meekly, and that the Spirit will reveal the truth to the readers and hearers.
  13. S.T., if we read Daniel 9:26, as just recapping the previous verse; Daniel 9:25 and not stating this seven weeks and the 62 weeks this fits perfectly, but if we take it by your own account we now have the Messiah being cut off some 15 and half years before He became the Only Begotten Son of God. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and sixty and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. Daniel 9:25 So I see the after 62 weeks as just recapping the previous verse without stating the first seven weeks. i am open to rebuke if someone can explain this situation any other way.
  14. So when we have some of our real friendly debates on the Forum, when do you think it is to the point that we know we are not going to change someone mind, but we are just quoting verses to show we know more? I ask because as a whole I try not to replied more than twice on a topic, or maybe three for fear it starts to become will I know the Bible better than you, in most cases both side have already settled it in they minds what they think is correct. But I also asked because I started going to another Forum, were a few members of that Forum (not many) have the idea that Jesus is a created God. As I added most don't but they have some that seem to wanted to champion this idea, and no these people are not JW.
  15. At the time when I started taking it, I also immediately kicked off most if not all the sweets I had been eating and drank a lot of water, but it was pretty much within a few weeks, I remember when a friend told me I was looking a lot better, than two gals at work, came up and asked my age, and when I told them they said no way you aren't that old. Latter in my early 40's my boss came over to our department and asked me and someone else what was taking us so long, and I told him, i am an old man, he than say to me he was at least twice my age, so I asked him if he was 85, he said no, and told me, I didn't look older than 30, because he was sixty. But Mswright, from your avatar I have problems myself believing you are 40, you do look much younger. I would have to say you look in mid to late 20.
  16. Sorry, bro’, but you have an error in your poll. There is no third option to the question about the covenant. Hence, when I tried to vote with neither selected, it gave me an error message. Only the two primary thoughts are given in the poll, and we can see that there is a majority who feel that Antichrist makes a covenant that may be thought to be distinct to Antichrist. There is good reason why the Davidic Covenant is not given, which is because it simply will not fit the context of either Daniel or Other relevant passages. ... Nonsense. One still must provide in a poll for a consideration that he may not have anticipated. And, it is only your OPINION that the Davidic Covenant doesn’t “fit the context of either Daniel or other relevant passages.” I find that it fits their contexts quite well! And why we would reject the Davidic Covenant as an option is quite simple: neither Christ not Antichrist will confirm the Davidic Covenant for one Week. It is not the Davidic Covenant that would allow for sacrifice and oblation, because we would have to see one or the other claiming to fulfill that role. Christ certainly did, but it had not impact on Levitical Service, which was already established and being carried out. ... It is the Davidic Covenant that PURPOSELY does NOT allow for sacrifice and oblation, which is PRECISELY why they CEASE! It is through the MESSIAH’S sacrifice and OUR UNION with the Messiah that gives God the freedom to associate with believers and set aside the need for further sacrifice! It was not necessary to have an “impact on Levitical Service”; Yeshua` fulfilled the sacrifice as a “priest forever after the order of Malkhiy-Tsedeq!” “My King of Righteousness!” In fact, the author of Hebrews tells us that the Levitical priests could NOT have fulfilled that role! Look at the WHOLE song: Psalm 110:1-7 1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. 3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. 4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. 5 The LORD at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. 6 He shall judge among the heathen (Goyim; Gentiles), he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. 7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head. KJV Psalm 110:1-7 (0-7) 110:1(0) A psalm of David: (1) Adonai says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemiesyour footstool.” 2 Adonai will send your powerful scepter out from Tziyon, so that you will rule over your enemies around you. 3 On the day your forces mobilize, your people willingly offer themselves in holy splendors from the womb of the dawn; the dew of your youth is yours. 4 Adonai has sworn it, and he will never retract — “You are a cohen forever, to be compared with Malki-Tzedek.” 5 Adonai at your right hand will shatter kings on the day of his anger. 6 He will pass judgment among the nations, filling it with dead bodies; he will shatter heads throughout an extensive territory. 7 He will drink from a stream as he goes on his way; therefore he will hold his head high. CJB This is a psalm of DAVID the king, one who was so selected by anointing to be king, a MESSIAH! It was written by the one to whom God made the covenant! And, this is a Messianic Psalm; that is, it prophesies about the future ULTIMATE Messiah, Yeshua`, as I’m sure of which you’re aware! Now, refresh your memory about what was written by the author of Hebrews: Hebrews 9:1-10:14 9:1 Now the first covenant had both regulations for worship and a Holy Place here on earth. 2 A tent was set up, the outer one, which was called the Holy Place; in it were the menorah, the table and the Bread of the Presence. 3 Behind the second parokhet was a tent called the Holiest Place, 4 which had the golden altar for burning incense and the Ark of the Covenant, entirely covered with gold. In the Ark were the gold jar containing the man, Aharon’s rod that sprouted and the stone Tablets of the Covenant; 5 and above it were the k’ruvim representing the Sh’khinah, casting their shadow on the lid of the Ark — but now is not the time to discuss these things in detail. 6 With things so arranged, the cohanim go into the outer tent all the time to discharge their duties; 7 but only the cohen hagadol enters the inner one; and he goes in only once a year, and he must always bring blood, which he offers both for himself and for the sins committed in ignorance by the people. 8 By this arrangement, the Ruach HaKodesh showed that so long as the first Tent had standing, the way into the Holiest Place was still closed. 9 This symbolizes the present age and indicates that the conscience of the person performing the service cannot be brought to the goal by the gifts and sacrifices he offers. 10 For they involve only food and drink and various ceremonial washings — regulations concerning the outward life, imposed until the time for God to reshape the whole structure. 11 But when the Messiah appeared as cohen gadol of the good things that are happening already, then, through the greater and more perfect Tent which is not man-made (that is, it is not of this created world), 12 he entered the Holiest Place once and for all. And he entered not by means of the blood of goats and calves, but by means of his own blood, thus setting people free forever. 13 For if sprinkling ceremonially unclean persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer restores their outward purity; 14 then how much more the blood of the Messiah, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered himself to God as a sacrifice without blemish, will purify our conscience from works that lead to death, so that we can serve the living God! 15 It is because of this death that he is mediator of a new covenant [or will]. Because a death has occurred which sets people free from the transgressions committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promised eternal inheritance. 16 For where there is a will, there must necessarily be produced evidence of its maker’s death, 17 since a will goes into effect only upon death; it never has force while its maker is still alive. 18 This is why the first covenant too was inaugurated with blood. 19 After Moshe had proclaimed every command of the Torah to all the people, he took the blood of the calves with some water and used scarlet wool and hyssop to sprinkle both the scroll itself and all the people; 20 and he said, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has ordained for you.” 21 Likewise, he sprinkled with the blood both the Tent and all the things used in its ceremonies. 22 In fact, according to the Torah, almost everything is purified with blood; indeed, without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. 23 Now this is how the copies of the heavenly things had to be purified, but the heavenly things themselves require better sacrifices than these. 24 For the Messiah has entered a Holiest Place which is not man-made and merely a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, in order to appear now on our behalf in the very presence of God. 25 Further, he did not enter heaven to offer himself over and over again, like the cohen hagadol who enters the Holiest Place year after year with blood that is not his own; 26 for then he would have had to suffer death many times — from the founding of the universe on. But as it is, he has appeared once at the end of the ages in order to do away with sin through the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as human beings have to die once, but after this comes judgment, 28 so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to deliver those who are eagerly waiting for him. 10 1 For the Torah has in it a shadow of the good things to come, but not the actual manifestation of the originals. Therefore, it can never, by means of the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, bring to the goal those who approach the Holy Place to offer them. 2 Otherwise, wouldn’t the offering of those sacrifices have ceased? For if the people performing the service had been cleansed once and for all, they would no longer have sins on their conscience. 3 No, it is quite the contrary — in these sacrifices is a reminder of sins, year after year. 4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. 5 This is why, on coming into the world, he says, “It has not been your will to have an animal sacrifice and a meal offering; rather, you have prepared for me a body. 6 No, you have not been pleased with burnt offerings and sin offerings. 7 Then I said, ‘Look! In the scroll of the book it is written about me. I have come to do your will.’” 8 In saying first, “You neither willed nor were pleased with animal sacrifices, meal offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings,” things which are offered in accordance with the Torah; 9 and then, “Look, I have come to do your will”; he takes away the first system in order to set up the second. 10 It is in connection with this will that we have been separated for God and made holy, once and for all, through the offering of Yeshua the Messiah’s body. 11 Now every cohen stands every day doing his service, offering over and over the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this one, after he had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from then on to wait until his enemies be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has brought to the goal for all time those who are being set apart for God and made holy. CJB The Messiah Yeshua` DID strengthen the covenant for a Seven! A “Seven” in Hebrew Scripture is a “PERFECTION” or a “COMPLETION” or an “OATH!" Genesis 21:25-34 25 Now Avraham had complained to Avimelekh about a well which Avimelekh’s servants had seized. 26 Avimelekh answered, “I don’t know who has done this. You didn’t tell me, and I heard about it only today.” 27 Avraham took sheep and cattle and gave them to Avimelekh, and the two of them made a covenant. 28 Avraham put seven female lambs from the flock by themselves. 29 Avimelekh asked Avraham, “What is the meaning of these seven female lambs you have put by themselves?” 30 He answered, “You are to accept these seven female lambs from me as witness that I dug this well.” 31 This is why that place was called Be’er-Sheva [well of seven, well of an oath] — because they both swore an oath there. 32 When they made the covenant at Be’er-Sheva, Avimelekh departed with Pikhol the commander of his army and returned to the land of the P’lishtim. 33 Avraham planted a tamarisk tree in Be’er-Sheva, and there he called on the name of Adonai, the everlasting God. 34 Avraham lived for a long time as a foreigner in the land of the P’lishtim. CJB So, the very word “Seven” refers to God’s oath! His rejection and the result of His leaving them “desolate,” ENDED the sacrifices and the oblation (gift)! When He was crucified, He became the final “keves Elohiym” for the Pesach, the final “lamb of God” for the Passover! And, offering His own blood to the throne of God as our cohen gadol, our high priest, “nailed that door shut” forever! For 3.5 years, He offered them the Kingdom of God from the sky, since HE was the One anointed to be the King and HE came from the sky through the Ruach haQodesh. Ultimately, that generation rejected Him (as God knew they would), and it became our invitation into His Kingdom prematurely. However, for them, He took His Kingdom away when He ascended back to His Father. In the future, when He returns, He will offer them the Kingdom once again. This time, He will come as the Aryeeh `Am Yhudah! The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, coming in vengeance and rescue for His people! This will be when the second 3.5 years will occur. Finally, you asked “So Christians destroy the city and the sanctuary?” You’re not following along. First, I NEVER said that Messiah Yeshua` was the “prince that shall come.” To the contrary, it WAS Titus in the first century A.D. and "the PEOPLE of the prince that shall come” were the Roman soldiers. Don’t confuse the two: Yeshua` haMashiach (Jesus the Christ) is the “Messiah,” and Titus is the “prince that shall come.” Again, the verbs point back as actions of the “Messiah”; the “prince that shall come” is only an object of the prepo sition, so to speak. The verbs are NOT connected with the “prince!" I agree entirely and could not vote for the same reason. Although I could also call it the Covenant of Promise, read Galatians 3:14-29; or the even the Covenant of Liberty that Christ has given us. But we also see this promise coming in the Book of Malachi: Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me: and the LORD, Whom ye seek, the Messenger of the Covenant, Whom ye delight in: behold, He will come, saith the LORD of Hosts. Malachi 3:1 We see Jesus in this verse calling Himself the Messenger of the Covenant. And just as Retrobyter stated I see the covenant being confirmed by Jesus for He even says as much in the following verses-- for Testament is the same as Covenant--Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:24. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the New Testament in My Blood, which is shed for many. Luke 22:20 After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the New Testament in My Blood: this do ye, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me. I Corinthians 11:25 In the middle of the 70th week Christ instituted the LORD's Supper in remembrance of His New Covenant. That is three and an half years into His ministry or the very end of His earthly life. For the Covenant/Testimony to be confirmed Blood had to be shed: And almost all things are by the law cleansed with blood; and without the shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22 So Christ sacrifice on the Cross, was the blood shedding moment of the New Covenant. Jeremiah tells us of the New Covenant that Jesus would confirm in Jeremiah 31:31-34 while the writer or Hebrews quotes him in Hebrews 8:8-13. When dealing with the Book of Acts we see that the last half of the 70th weeks is dealing with just the nation of Israel and their chance at receiving this Covenant promise, before the end of the 70th week. For low and behold 3 and half years later we see that Paul/Saul is call to minister to the Gentiles Acts 9, then we see Cornelius conversion, but see what the Jews said when they discovered that a Gentile was saved: When they heard these things, then hold they their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance to life. Acts 11:18 This is also mention by the Apostles in Acts 15:6-19, when the Church had a special meeting to see how they were to handle this addition to the Jewish Believers. This is the Everlasting Covenant: Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, through the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant, Hebrews 13:20 Christ Jesus has confirmed an Everlasting Covenant with all who believe in Him.
  17. Could you please explain in more detail, as I have always thought of Cherubims be a living creatures, and thought that is what Ezekiel stated: And the Cherubims were lifted up, This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar. Ezekiel 10:15
  18. Being Diabetic I know that it is really healthy for Type I Diabietics to take as it is suppose to help them regulate their blood sugar, but as a Type II, I started taking it along with a lot of water, and before I started taking it everyone told me I look to be will over 50, when at that point I wasn't even 40 yet; but shortly after taking it all my friends told me I look different and better; now that i am nearly 50 most people tell me I look to be in the mid 30's. Biotin not only helps the hair and nails grow, but also the skin. Although unfortunately it didn't help me to regrow my hair, it has really help with nails and skin.
  19. I think you have pretty much hit the nail on the head here. For even Paul makes mention of something very similar: 3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh: 4) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; II Corinthians 10:3-5 Preparing our minds is another way of saying renewing our minds, Romans 12:1-2; Colossians 3:10. 23) And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind; 24) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24 Paul speaks of why it is so important to renew our minds after speaking of how we as believers still serve the law of sin in our flesh: 24) O wretched man that i am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25) I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:24-25 If you would like to see a good way to renew your mind just check out what Paul tells us to think upon in Philippians 4:8.
  20. Thanks for the insight Shiloh; that is very interesting, great question Willa.
  21. Hebrews 12:25 See that ye refuse not Him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape if we turn away from Him that speaketh from heaven. 2) For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; 3) How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that heard Him; 4) God also bearing them testimony, both with signs and wonders, and with diver miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His Own will? Hebrews 2:2-4 The Old Covenant was given by Moses and is known to have been given by the angels of heaven, and yet as we read also in Hebrews 3:16-19, some because of unbelief could not enter into the rest of the promise land, but died in the wilderness. So now that we are under the New Covenant, which was first spoken by the Lord, and later confirmed by His followers with power of the Holy Spirit. We all know of the miracles that Jesus did and also His Apostles thru the Holy Spirit's power. But what where Jesus words of about the power of the Holy Spirit; Luke mentions this great power twice: 48) And ye are My witnesses of these things. 49) And behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until ye are endued with power from on High. Luke 24:48-49 But ye shall receive power after the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses to Me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 The power that the Holy Spirit truly give is the boldness in the Grace of God to speak of the wonderful works that Jesus did to save us lost sinners. So if someone hears of the Gospel of Jesus and than knowingly see the love and power that the Holy Spirit has put on His people, and willingly calls this the work of the devil they have sealed their fate. IMO the unpardonable sin is to count the precious Blood of Jesus and His Works an unholy thing thus committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit: Of how much more severe punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the Blood of the Covenant, by which He was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite to the Spirit of Grace? Hebrews 10:29
  22. If you ever come up with anything like this for us naturally balding men; someone please let me know. When I was younger I used to kid myself into believing my hair wasn't balding, just retreating, but no way to deny it now, it is just all gone on the forehead.
  23. Yea, Willa diabetes runs in my family, but that is not why i am diabetic, mine is very much self imposed, as I had the worse diet for nearly 25 years, during that time my four basic four groups where sugar, corn syrup, grease, and fat; and unfortunately for me this was way to true. By the way I ate I really should have been dead and will over 500 lbs, but except for the diabetes i am pretty much in perfect health because of the mercies of God. And unlike most other diabetics I happen to be pretty thin.
