    Daniel 7

Daniel 7 shows the spiritual cause and Daniel 2 shows the natural effect. The earthly kingdoms of Daniel 2 are the natural manifestations of the evil princes depicted as beasts in Daniel 7. This natural / supernatural correlation is made clear in Daniel 10. The beasts of Daniel 7 have spawned kingdoms in the past, and they will also have a role in the end times. They are all active in supporting the fourth beast in setting the stage for the man of sin.
  2. I'm not answering for Tatwo but here's something to consider: The Lord of the earth appeared to Abraham in Genesis 18 along with His two witnesses who proceeded to Sodom to rescue Lot. They brought mercy for the righteous and judgment for the ungodly. We know that angels are appointed duties and given responsibilities. It could be that the two angels (witnesses) are involved in the administration of judgment and mercy, which can be seen in the law and the prophets. Maybe these angels take on human form, or maybe they are there in a supporting role. John the baptist came in the power and spirit of Elijah (Luke 1:17). I think that speaks to more than just personality. I think the same angelic spirit that supported Elijah supported John and will be one of the two witnesses either in human form or in support of a human. The takeaway is that the two witnesses are primarily spiritual beings.
  3. Quite true. People get a glimpse into the throne room at the sixth seal. They see the sign of the Son of Man (the Lamb) and fear His impending judgment. They will see the Son of Man later at the seventh plague.
  4. Yes, the pre-trib rapture is a false hope.
  5. Hey Joe. If you look at the order of the metals of the statue in Daniel 2, they go from being the most noble (gold) to the least noble (iron), and I'm referring to the metallurgical property of nobility, not some abstract goodness. Silver is inferior to gold because it is less noble as metals go. Galvanic corrosion occurs in less noble metals. Google the nobility of metals for a better explanation. My thought is that the forms of government used by the different kingdoms correlate to the nobility of their metals and consequently in their ability to become corrupted. For better or worse, a dictatorship is more difficult to corrupt than a representative government.
  6. Again, you need to think of Babylon more in ideological terms, not natural terms. Babylon is an evil city headed by Satan whose members espouse evil. The harlot is simply a manifestation of that which will be destroyed by the beast and his ten horns for a specific purpose. It is in contrast to the righteous city: But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels. Hebrews 12:22
  7. The seven mountains are seven kingdoms with supernatural origin. The princes of Persia and Greece (Daniel 10) brought about two of the seven.
  8. The harlot is less about geography and more about ideology. Yes, Israel will be attacked by the Dragon who fails and turns to persecute her offspring per the end of Rev 12. That comes after the harlot's demise. The beast and the ten horns set the stage for the Dragon's attack. The beast and his horns are evil spirit beings.
  9. I agree that this is the harlot. However, she doesn't only reside in Israel proper.
  10. Tend to agree with this, also that the enemies of God are both spiritual and natural. Maybe like Gog and Magog.
  11. What I see going on today is more of the Harlot being systemically dismantled. When the 10 horns deal her the death blow, then some serious fireworks start, including the rise of the man of sin and all his whizbangery.
  12. Just because Jerusalem is not being tread underfoot by Gentiles today doesn't mean that it won't be attacked in the future.
  13. So you see Babylon as the holy city. Weird. There are serious inconsistencies in your eschatology. You are also confusing Jerusalem with the holy city.
  14. Jerusalem is not Babylon. Israel is not one of Satan's heads.
  15. The outer court of the temple is not Jerusalem.
  16. Perhaps not directly. However, the 1967 liberation of east Jerusalem is significant, along with the 1948 war which resulted in western Jerusalem becoming part of the state of Israel. The significance of Jewish sovereignty over is Jerusalem is a prophetic marker. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Luke 21:24b The times of the Gentiles has been fulfilled. What's left is for the fulness of the Gentiles to come in. That will be brought about by the events of the end. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations [Gentiles], and then the end will come. Matt 24:14
  17. Michael Heiser has a good video explaining why the battle known as Armageddon takes place at Jerusalem.
  18. The feet of iron and clay. The globalist U.N. At least for now. Yes. The beast and his ten horns are primarily evil spirit beings who influence the natural realm. They began the 4th kingdom over a century ago and have been busy setting the stage for the little horn. Yes, in contrast to the other horns who don't have eyes and a mouth, non-humans.
  19. I think it speaks more to the sanctification process. It addresses what the believer has done, ie crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Its like the overcoming promises in the letters to the seven churches, a certain level of obedience. Salvation is a free gift. Some rewards are earned. It's God's call.
  20. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:24 Have ALL believers crucified the flesh with its passions and desires? I think that's the question.
  21. A little context is in order here. A couple of verses earlier in Isaiah 14, we find this: How you have fallen from heaven, you star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who defeated the nations! But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ Nevertheless you will be brought down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit. Those who see you will stare at you, they will closely examine you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms'. Isaiah 14:12-16 Clearly a reference to Satan. The blood of Abel is found in Babylon, along with the blood of all who have been slain on the Earth. Rev 18:24 Babylon is primarily spiritual and transcends generations. Once you start viewing Babylon as the influence of Satan's kingdom on the human race, it becomes much less of a mystery. Yes, we see manifestations of Babylon in the natural realm. Satan entered the son of perdition in the first century and failed to stop the Messiah. He will enter the son of perdition again and fail again. There's a reason the false prophet speaks like a dragon.
  22. Babylon is the influence of Satan's kingdom on the human race. The king of Babylon is Satan.
  23. I tend to agree with the notion that there's not a lot of wasted effort when it comes to pushing an agenda. And when that agenda is being pushed by the spiritual forces of wickedness, its even more true. The next global deception is going to be when the man of sin performs amazing signs and wonders. The whole extraterrestrial narrative will play right into that scenario. And regardless of the claims, the power on display will be supernatural. Satan gives his power, throne, and great authority to another evil angel (the beast) while he enters the man of sin. Satan then works in conjunction with the beast to deceive the world through signs and wonders. I doubt there's life on other planets. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, not earths. The earth is unique, at least how I read it. So, yeah, I think those exposing the UFO phenom as demonic are correct and it should be exposed as such.
  24. It will be a global phenomena. “Then they will hand you over to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name." Matt 24:9 Satan will attack the woman first, then her offspring who are all around the world (Rev 12).
