  1. Isaiah 55:8-9 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
  2. that is the day they died was it not? Job ch1 v19 This was written by king Solomon who had many wives some who practiced pagan worship, we do not even know if king Solomon ever did find salvation with God. Yes God granted him his request to have great knowledge, but with that came also a lot of responsibility of knowing how to handle well his given privileges. Solomon got swayed by the influences of his pagan wives and from all we read about king Solomon who most likely tried every vice offered to him, we cannot for sure say that he found salvation in God even though God bestowed to him many great things. Just like Saul. God gave Saul many opportunities, but Saul threw away Gods opportunities by doing his own thing by constantly taking his ow will back instead of turning his will over to the care of God.. Also in the old testament: Genesis 9:21 Noah's Shame and Canaan's Curse 20Then Noah began farming and planted a vineyard. 21He drank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself inside his tent. 22Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside . Also were they not having a big pagan orgy party of ( sex & drunkenness?) when Moses went up to receive the 10 commandments from God and came back down?and found them partying, dancing and worshiping the golden calf? (There I don't know if it mentions drunkenness, but they seemed to be drunk on something). Its in Exodus 32: 19 somewhere...around there Now, this is not me saying you should not drink alcohol. My opinion should not matter in this regard, but the opinion of Gods Word does matter. Thanks for sharing passages to point that people got drunk and merry in the old testament of the Holy Bible. In the grand scale of things written in the bible concerning intoxicating drinks, the bible seems to caution us about its usage. FACTS TO KNOW 1) The Bible does teach total abstinence from alcohol. Both the main Hebrew word for wine and the Greek word for wine can mean either fermented grape juice or intoxicating wine. The English word wine originally had two meanings also - unfermented juice or alcoholic drink. 2) In the Bible, verses to show God approves of wine are speaking about unfermented juice. Verses that expose the evils of wine are speaking about intoxicating wine. 3) The Bible says alcoholic drink is evil. It is not just the amount one drinks that makes drinking a sin. God condemns the drink itself. (Prov 20:1 KJV) Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. 4) God does not lead us into evil; He delivers us from it. He does not teach us to practice evil in moderation. Jesus did not make, use, approve, commend, or tell us to use intoxicating wine. 5) God made man to have fellowship with Him. Alcohol goes directly to the brain, the communication center of the body. It interferes with God’s purpose for mankind. 75 WARNINGS There is more Scripture condemning the use of alcoholic beverages than will be found on the subjects of lying, adultery, swearing, cheating, hypocrisy, pride, or even blasphemy. 1) Genesis 9:20-26 - Noah became drunk; the result was immorality and family trouble. 2) Genesis 19:30-38 - Lot was so drunk he did not know what he was doing; this led to immorality 3) Leviticus 10:9-11 - God commanded priests not to drink so that they could tell the difference between the holy and the unholy. 4) Numbers 6:3 - The Nazarites were told to eat or drink nothing from the grape vine. 5) Deuteronomy 21:20 - A drunken son was stubborn and rebellious. 6) Deuteronomy 29:5-6 - God gave no grape juice to Israel nor did they have intoxicating drink in the wilderness. 7) Deuteronomy 32:33 - Intoxicating wine is like the poison of serpents, the cruel venom of asps. 8) Judges 13:4, 7, 14 - Samson was to be a Nazarite for life. His mother was told not to drink wine or strong drink. 9) 1 Samuel 1:14-15 - Accused, Hannah said she drank no wine. 10) 1 Samuel 25:32-38 - Nabal died after a drunken spree. 11) 2 Samuel 11:13 - By getting Uriah drunk, David hoped to cover his sin. 12) 2 Samuel 13:28-29 - Amnon was drunk when he was killed. 13) 1 Kings 16:8-10 - The king was drinking himself into drunkenness when he was assassinated 14) 1 Kings 20:12-21 - Ben-Hadad and 32 other kings were drinking when they were attacked and defeated by the Israelites. 15) Esther 1:5-12 - The king gave each one all the drink he wanted. Alcohol is habit forming. 27) Proverb 31:4-5 - Kings, Princes, and others who rule and judge must not drink alcohol. Alcohol perverts good judgment. 28) Proverbs 31:6-7 - Strong drink could be given to those about to perish or those in pain. Better anesthetics are available today. 29) Ecclesiastes 2:3 - The king tried everything, including intoxicating drink, to see if it satisfied. It did not. 3. I hear you brother. What I am hearing is fear is dictating your actions and could possibly have you in bondage. I dont mean any disrespect when I say there is no freedom in being fat. It is unhealthy. We are to care for out temples in all ways. I am not guilt free. I still have some issues. I was only replying to your comment to me. Taking care of ourselves doesnt have to turn into an idle. Being physically fit does not dictate sinning. It is what it is and no more! I say this in love brother: Are you fully trusting the Lord to keep you from immorality if you create boundaries in your flesh to do so? If you hate your sin ( I think you do) and you love the LORD with everything you have ( I think you do) , you can trust your Lord and Savior to give you strength to have fullness in health and fitness w/o sinning. I thank you so much for opening your heart to me and sharing your fears. It is not easy to do on a online forum. Being real and transparent is precious to me. I guess because I am one who is very guarded and I know how vulnerable I feel when I have let it all hang out. Now I know how to pray for you. Dont let the enemy win enoob! He is not the master of your ship. Dont give him a foothold. It is bondage! The LORD who is faithful is your master! God didnt give your a spirit of fear but of power and love a sound mind. Cast off all that is contrary to the word. Like nike says: JUST DO IT! Blessings Edited 19 hours ago by Blueyedjewel Reading this made me think about how difficult it is sometimes to keep all the lids on the pots closed (so to speak) ie trying to control one thing (like keeping fit rather than being to attractive and fit to succumbing to lustful vices that we know we once had a hard time with. Like Enoob but like on the other side of the coin, many women choose to let themselves go ( by weight gain and not keeping so fit) rather than be a target to be accosted by men. Many women choose that as a way to protect themselves. sometimes people are dealing with many things like sexual addiction, sexual violation that can lead to sexual addiction or perversion in sexual behavior, than they look to other ways lie alcohol or drugs or food to alleviate their inner turmoil, trying to numb themselves from feeling the first sin that traumatized them. Trying to subdue the anger, inner rage, fear that penetrated them when the trauma occurred. Its a very vicious circle to come out of. and for sure we need Gods help to overcome. Step by step,it can be done with Gods help and turning it over to God to help us overcome, help us have the courage to learn new positive strategies of coping and also asking God to heal us from our initial trauma that brought on other sin trauma. It is by God working in us that healing and change occurs. Sometimes it does not happen all overnight in one swift sweep, sometimes the healing may happen the moment we ask God to help us but the work in refining continues and is gradual and dependent also on our willingness to keep God in the forefront of our daily challenges. Virtue that is not tested is not virtue. so yes we are tested, and sometimes we fail, sometime we need coping mechanism. sometimes people choose the lesser of two evils in order to cope. Like overeating to protect themselves from being molested, attacked, violated. or not keeping not so fit to reduce attracting the opposite sex or protecting ourselves from our own base nature from taking control. It may not be the most caring way some may think but it is a way that women and also men protect themselves with. For sure it is not the healthiest way to protect oneself, but when you are trying to keep from trouble coming your way, sometimes people do what they think can protect themselves from becoming easy prey or succumbing easy to sin. Sexual sin is one of the most soul damaging sins that exists. Being violated that way tears the inner most core of a persons soul. It is one of the surest ways a predator can defile , corrupt and traumatize. the devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy. On sin leads to another and for sure we need Gods help to overcome the enemy. Finding God is a true Gift of His Mercy & Grace. without God sin takes it toll . Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Romans 13:14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. As for alcohol. IT has destroyed so many lives. I think the bible does point that we need to lead temperate lives. As Christians we need to live by the fruits of the spirit and that includes temperance. Alcohol 14. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 15. 1 Timothy 3:8-9 In the same way, deacons must be well respected and have integrity. They must not be heavy drinkers or dishonest with money. They must be committed to the mystery of the faith now revealed and must live with a clear conscience. 16. 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 17. Ephesians 5:18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 18. Galatians 5:19-21 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit will help you 19. Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 20. Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Bible examples 21. Acts 24:25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. 22. Proverbs 31:4-5 It is not for kings, Lemuel— it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, lest they drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.
  4. What I can't understand are people who claim to be bible believing Christians yet pick and choose what they want to believe is truth what what they want to justify with worldly current opinions instead of accepting Gods word for being Gods words. If you want to debate the bible using worldly scientific opinions, then the bible as it is written is just a big fairy tale story book with absolutely no credibility to it from today scientific opinions and conjectures. or it is the TRUE WORD of GOD and what is written in it is the truth of events as they occurred. There are many events in the bible that if not taken by faith and belief in God, can pass only as fantastic fiction at best. Beginning with Genesis Chapter one God created the heavens and the earth, The sun and moon came afterwards , The God created the firmaments in the midst of the waters and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters above the firmament and it was so. If we stop right here, the binning of the bible in genesis, support a flat earth theory . the earth was created before the sun and the moon. How can that ever support the globe theory? all thought the bible in many different passages is there ref to a flat earth not a globe rotating around the sun. In the bible the sun and the moon are rotating around the earth as are the stars above under the dome firmament. Some here who are posting have tried to defent the book of Enoch and say that is confirms much of the bible and bring even greater insight into the fallen angels and who the nephilim are. Well the book of Enoch(which I am not a fan of) does also agree with the flat earth theory. so clearly people who claim to be bible believers many are choosing what they want to believe did happen and is true and many others are picking and choosing what they want to bevel as a true occurrence that happened in the bible. I know that for me as a bible believing christian, if I pick and choose what I want to believe is true and and what i want to believe as not true in the bible, well I might as well doubt everything that the bible ever has said occurred. The thing is that I am a believer, I can see the consistency of everything written in the bible from genesis to Christ Jesus coming on to the earth to buy us back from our sin nature that commenced in the garden of Eden and follows up until today. Christ Jesus came to redeem mankind from the power of deception from the power of sin. I believe this with all my heart and have asked God to be my Father and have asked for His forgiveness through the blood Atonement of His son Christ Jesus, and have asked the Holy Spirit of god to please come in and make His home in my heart and to guide me , heal me, correct me throughout my life. and He has. This is what confirms to me every day my faith in God is REAL and WORKING and the power of His WORDS have come alive in my heart. What God has done in my life and turned a sinner into a redeemed sinner by His divine Mercy & Grace. so for me yes I accept all that is written from genesis to revelation to be Gods word. And God in turn has given me understanding for such things that of myself I could never have come to understand. God requires faith from us. without Faith it is impossible to please God. and therefore it is us who disable God from working in us by our very own lack of beleif and faith . Hebrews 11:6-8 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
  5. Hello Tyler22, I have heard you in another post where you mentioned a health condition. Not all illnesses are demon possession or (oppression if you are already saved through the Blood of Christ Jesus.) I know there is such a thing as sleep paralysis, maybe being unable to speak at times is when you are feeling terribly threatened, and it is possible that certain types of illnesses can bring this on, but yes this to could possibly be a oppression phenomena as it may not. Either way you can rest assured in Christ Jesus. If you have turned your faith=faithfulness towards Christ Jesus and have asked the Holy Spirit of God to come make His home in your heart, then God is with you in good times and in bad times so, if you are saved, you cannot be possessed and remember always "Greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world.: If you feel you can't talk when you feel oppressed, or even just not feeling well healthwise, you can think of God in your heart where He resides since you have been saved and He will walk you through and out of the attack. When the attack occurs, don't panic, go direct to God with your thoughts and think of Christ Jesus, think on good and lovely things and this to shall pass. Just call on Him when you feel attacked, think on Him and trust Him over what you perceive to be an attack from the enemy. God is stronger than the enemy, God loves you, cares for you and wants you well, wholesome. God can restore what the enemy tries to steal away. Trust God with al your heart, Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 1 John 4: 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
  6. Hi Matoo7 Yes JTC gives some good reasoning as to why you are not the antichrist. Also like JTC, said it is quite common when young to: " All teens and even people in their 20's think there's something wrong with them. Its part of growing up " If you have have repented through Christ Jesus and have accepted Him as your savior and asked the Holy Spirit of God to come make His home in your heart, you are a child of God and Christ Jesus is your good shepherd John 10:10 Christ Jesus is our good shepherd he will never leave you not forsake you and if you by mistake go astray, he will go looking for you to bring you back into His safety and right and truthful and wholesome direction. Remember Ephesian ch 6 Take God full Armour on you every day. God never want you to fear but to place all trust in Him. He desires for you to have a relationship with Him daily. Pray to God, He desires this so He can get closer to you to and be more able to work in your heart, your life. Philippians 4:6-8 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Meditate on These Things 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 2 Timothy 1:7 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. If God is with you, and has made His home in your heart, He is with you. God is far more powerful than anything contrary to Him Romans 8:31 …30And those He predestined He also called, those He called He also justified, those He justified He also glorified. 31What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things?… Mark 9:24 If You can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!” 24Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!” 25When Jesus saw that a crowd had come running, He rebuked the unclean spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” He said, “I command you to come out and never enter him again.”… Learn to place your trust in the Lord, ask God to show you how to place your trust in Him if you are having difficulty trusting in Him. Talk to God our Father, He wants us to draw closer to Him through prayer with him, then He also will draw even closer to us because we are allowing him to. Don't trust the devil, who likes to plant (like a computer virus) unhealthy suggestions in the mind, he only comes to steal, kill, destroy. If you entertain the devils suggestions you are giving him ability to play with your head. You can put a stop to that right now by calling on the Lord, placing all your thoughts to the Lords trust. 2 Corinthians 10:5 4The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We tear down arguments, and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Proverbs 3:5 5Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.… Fear Not, Trust in the Lord and in His WORD Philippians 4:6-7 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
  7. Hello brother Wayne; I have been thinking about what you mentioned about Roy Masters and also what was spoken during that 1980 interview with Roy Master and Walter Martin. It was clear by the verbal debate between the two, that Roy does not believe in the trinity of God the Father Son Holy Spirit. That they are ONE. Also that Christ sacrifice on the cross was to buy us back, redeem us, from the bondage that sins hold on us since the garden of Eden, not only to point us to finding faith in God but that it is through Christs blood redeeming sacrifice on the cross that we are saved. Thank you very much for taking the time to letting me know this. These years of licensing to him, it was hard to know completely where he stood with the trinity but I a red flag came up in me when I began to hear him quote:Christ Jesus as saying: Don't call me good, only my Father in heaven is good. witch was taking that sentence out of context to its full meaning. The interview clearly points were Roy masters stands concerning the trinity of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I am a bit sad about it and am thinking to pray to God over Roys salvation. Thank once again for pointing me in the correct direction. In Christ Jesus Always; 1to3 Yes Mabel, you are so spot on, that getting to know the Holy bible is the most important thing. And please forgive me , I never meant to lead you away from our salvation through Christ Jesus and the trinity of God the Father Son, Holy Spirit by mentioning Roy Masters. I will not mention him to anybody ever again, as I certainly would not want to contribute in leading anyone astray from God true plan of salvation through His only begotten son Christ Jesus.. In all honesty, before Wayne pointed me to that interview last evening in your post, I never heard before Roy deny Christs godhead in the trinity. Before listening to the interview that Wayne brought to my attention, I just saw Roy like a typical Jewish person coming from a Jewish background placing Christ as the Son of God but that interview for 1980 between pastor Walter Martin and Roy Masters certainly made things quite clear. May the Light of Christ Jesus shine bright and clear for all to come to salvation through Him Bye for now In Christ Jesus always 1to3
  8. For sure Words can have power if we let them have power over us. Usually when someone means a lot to us, their words have more bearing than someone not as close to us, and even still, we can get 100 compliments and one insult. Its the insult that if we give it power, may effect us more than all the compliments. There is reason why the Word of God warns us to guard our tongue. Because with it we can bring life or death. The saying" sticks and stone may brake my bones but words will never hurt me.Never worked for me." never truly worked to give me peace of mind nor to bring forgiveness unto the person who spewed them out. But revenge it mine says the Lord. Us throwing back an insult is neither the correct way to go about it, yet it is a reflex on many of our lips. It takes divine Love in Gods plan of Mercy and Grace through Christ Jesus to learn to master our tongues First though we must become aware of the weigh our words can have on others. I know that I have needed divine Love to help me overcome some hurtful words that were thrown to me in my early developmental years by my primary care givers. They affected me greatly because they were coming from sources that I so desperately wanted and needed to be loved by. their words had a great impact on how i developed. And then later on my own words that I have thrown about carelessly have been wrong for me to do also, and this I need to repent for and ask Gods forgiveness for. The danger with throwing out careless insulting words is , that its like taking a feather pillow and breaking it open in the wind. It becomes quite difficult to pick up all the feathers once they have been thrown about like this. The injury of an ill spoken word can run deep into the offended persons heart. To ever return from that and find 100% repair is I think only possible with Gods help in that matter. Much of my life. I have had bouts of anxiety and depression because of the unkind words that were spoken to me by someone I loved and cared for so much in my childhood. Like a broken record those hurtful words would come and play again in my mind and torture my soul bringing me into deep depression and anxiety. It has taken the divine Love and healing of God to heal me from this. And I know it was God that removed this negative record playing of insulting words from my head. My part in getting better through Christ Jesus was to let go and let God take over my pain and for me to do my part in forgiving. Learning to forgive is a gift from God accessible to all through Mercy and Grace over our fellowman. And to remember always, if God forgave us, as a free gift of grace we too have to practice the same with others.
  9. lol, i am also not yet perfected in this area fully either but i have seen Gods improvement working in me. progress moving forward in the Lord. Once we are given the Grace to finally see our shortcoming then we become able to acknowledged them to have them removed By Gods Grace working in our hearts. I must place forth forgiveness towards the one who offended me as I myself am a sinner redeemed by His Grace. Also unless it may be harmful to you the other person or someone else, we should go to the other person we feel offended us and try and sort things out, talk with them personalty, and try to settle the matter for mutual peaceful resolution . If they are not responsive or decline a peaceful resolution, than you know that you did your part in seeking peace and to dust yourself off and walk away from the situation with a clean conscience that you did you part in your side of trying to settle things /differences.. I think harboring grudges over a person who has offended us is the most damaging to our well being. It may not even be a thought in the head space of the one who offended but is can be so damaging for the one holding the grudge. This holding unto anger/ resentments, harboring unforgiveness is what can bring on sickness, depression, anxiety. These things are not Gods will for us to be manifest in our lives. Yes I do believe God still continues His work of redemption in us even though we have not yet been perfected. But the fact that you recognize it "and even though I have failed" is a step closer to overcoming it through God working in us. Also, sometimes after doing ones part in forgiving the one who has offended us, it may be wisest to stay away from that person if that person nature remains the same by continuing to offend regardless. Of course if the person is not able to recognize, or is not cognizant of their offense because of mental incapacities, like a crippled child , sick relative, someone held under your responsibility of care, it goes that we as Christians are then called to carry and bear the cross of those indignities thrown to us leaning on God for strength and good courage to bear through it. "forgive them Father for they no not what they do" The same should also apply towards a spouse, unless of course they are playing you for a complete fool." And in good faith hold unto the promise that God will never give us more than we can bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13 12So the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall. 13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.
  10. Yes it was . :-) Made for wholesome reflection. God Bless
  11. Yes we need to trust God but we also have to use wisdom and diligence in our interaction is this very tricky world. Everyday we are placed with new tests of faith. This is important, because if we remain to complacent without any challenges before us, we can be more prone to get tricked by the enemy. We need to stand on guard with the full armor of God on us everyday in all our interactions with people, places and things. virtue that is not tested is not virtue. Sometimes we may think we are virtuous until God allows a test of faith to come our way. How we deal with the challenge/test of faith determines weather we have learnt completely a particular lesson/test of vertue/ faith or if we still need to learn further the lesson of virtue/faith that is placed our way. If we place ourselves or get ourselves into a place of peril or lack of safety that is threatening our safety/ well being and that of our family, we need to get out of that situation and protect first ourselves and our family. You can't help somebody else if you can't even help yourself. There are many ways to be the good seminarian be of help to others, but to go out and compromised the safety of your life or that of your family is not Gods plan for you to do. Keeping you in prayer over your situation In Christ Jesus 1to3
  12. The devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy. Gods plan of Mercy and Grace comes to redeem what satan tried to steal kill and destroy. Satans plan is the counterfeit plan, made to deceive so to steal, kill and destroy. The more we fall into sin the more we destroy our God given wholesome consciousness. Sin can sear the conscious to an irretrievable point. The point of coming to the unpardonable sin= not believing and having faith that God IS who he says HE IS Part of God retrieving us back to His plan of Mercy and Grace involves waking us up by the indwelling of His holy Spirit working in our hearts, nudging our conscious back to life, waking us up to the different degrees sin has put us to sleep=numbed out our God given wholesome consciousness. Waking up from the dark side is a process that can only come-forth through the indwelling of Holy Spirit of God working in our hearts. This is when God is abled to work in us, redeem us, heal us, restore us to the child of God we were always meant to be
  13. Yes I agree with that so to have disobedience in us or the choice to choose to disobey in us from birth, since the fall of Adam and Eve, we as human kind all have the sin nature of disobedience in us from the get go start of our bodily formation or else we would be sin free from the get go and the curse of death incurred from Adam and Eve would not be on us and the rest of the world system. Now about sickness? Sickness comes from the fallen nature of man and the tainted world we live in since the fall of Adam and Eve. sin= anything leading to death. Sickness if not treated properly, remedied properly leads to death. We all inherit genes from our parents. Some families are predisposed to certain sickness that comes from the family genome. So yes we inherit genetically : genes prone to good health and bad = genes prone to sickness in our our family gene pool. We also can develop behavior traits from our upbringing. If the upbringing was faulty, dysfunctional, filled with trauma=sin, we can also develop from this exposure the continuation of similar bad behavioral traits. Through Gods help we do not have to continue with the bad behavioral traits leading to sin, sickness /death. We do have a choice to put a stop to it through God plan of Mercy and Grace through Christ Jesus and welcoming the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God into our hearts.
  14. Sin can manifest itself physically through illness. The sins of the fathers can be transmitted unto the next generations That is why in our walk with God it is important to ask God to remove any generational sin for ourselves and for our families. I never said that, You miss read me or I did not explain clear enough. I agree with you: Christ Jesus was without sin, He had to be to be able to shed His blood over our sins, to be the lamb of God who takes away our sins". Christ Jesus was completely 100% without sin in Him. Many who want to disclaim christ Jesus being equal to God, like to take that passage out of the full context it was phrase in to say : you see, even Christ Jesus said He was not good. That for sure is not correct and I never said that. but yes some people use that in defense to say that Christ Jesus was not God incarnate. I say yes Christ Jesus is equal to God in that they with the Holy Spirit of God are ONE . and when Christ Jesus used that passage He was using it in response to a man who was truing to trick Christ Jesus with His Words.
  15. Hi hmbld; No I don't think Christ Jesus intended for us His children to become walking doormats for anybody to just abuse and trample over. I think Christ Jesus meant that we are to not allow a hostile action to internalize in us so that the perpetrator of wrong doing comes and makes a home in our heart and by this we become also as bad as the perpetrator as we have internalize the blow. No I think Christ Jesus was trying to tell by turning the other cheek us to not get affected and internalize the hostile action but rather to overlook the offense with reason and objectively and not react to it with the same hostility that the blow was given. I don't think so, not the way I meant to use the term the "school of hard knock". Perhaps I am not using the correct terminology to convey my thoughts. What I was meaning to say when i used the term "school of hard knocks" When i used the school of "hard knocks" I meant that ( in my own spiritual development and recovery from past trauma) in my teenage to young adult years even to adult years I have had to learn most everything the hard way ie through -trial and error-. lol I hope as I keep learning and developing in Christ Jesus that I am becoming a little wiser to fist stop, think and reason with Gods Word as my guide before spontaneously, impulsively, jumping into uncharted waters and getting hurt physically mentally and spiritually and then later having to clean up the mess and tend to the scrapes and wounds and heal the injuries) the hard way has brought me to my knees to quiet down, be more reflective and seek Gods way. That's what I meant when i sad the :school of hard knocks" I have learnt things the painful way instead of first listening to wisdom , reason and sensibility first before reacting. I did not mean to imply we are to harden our hearts. I have not hardened mine, no, not at all. but seeing that I am a child of God redeemed by His loving Grace and that temple of the Holy Spirit of God now resides in me, and as far as I have come to this point in my life, to know this and understand this, I am now more caring of myself and care who I am through Christ Jesus to not just give myself over to any whims that come by or just open my self up letting , letting all guards down to just anybody to abuse and walk all over me. That is not being hard of heart, that is being wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove, self assured in Christ Jesus to not so easily let the enemy penetrate and try to steal what precious it can try and steal from me. You know the story of the child who was crossing the river and a scorpion asked the little child to carry him across the river? The child said scorpion, my parents warned me that your kind are dangerous and deadly and if I pick you up and carry you across you will hurt me. The scorpion answered: oh child please help me, I promise I won't harm you, please carry me across the water. So the child feeling sorry for the scorpion and wanting to be kind picked up the scorpion and walked across the water, And then just before coming to dry land the scorpion bit the child and gave it a mortal wound. The child said: oh scorpion you promised, you promised you would not hurt me and the scorpion answered well child I am a scorpion, even if I did not intend to hurt you , it is in my nature to do so, I could not help myself. And sadly through the "school of hard knocks" the child learned their lesson. By the Grace of God I ham still hear, Thank You Christ Jesus. ! And by His Grace , His Mercy and His Word I am learning to understand and apply correctly His Word to work in my life. A open welcoming heart we should always have, but like a computer needs protection, we also need to keep our firewall up for protection against viruses, nasty invaders (so to speak). We need Gods armor of protection on every day Ephesians ch6 to protect us against the viles of the the devil and his minions.
  16. Hi Wayne, well I never heard that from him,I have more heard him say that the woman need the man to be like a father type to her especially as the couple get older and to not allow a woman to get her way in the sense like to tell the woman "put the fruit down Eve" type situation. Anyhow, not sure i am explaining this properly... Hmmm I have never heard that . Yes and Roy stresses on that a lot and explains well the reasoning behind it. something that helped me a lot. Well he may not be everyones cup of tea. He definitely has a unique way about him but i don't think he wants to lead anyone astray. I truly believe like the pastor Walter mentioned also that he believes that Roy is sincere in his convictions. what I take from Roy Masters is that he is trying to reach an audience that have more than less pretty much given up on any kind of faith, belief system whatsoever in God. His approach is to begin the process of finding back God. He really tries to help some very broken type people, many who have MI and bring them closer to getting recovery from their past trauma by bringing to their understanding, the dangers of keeping resentment the importance of forgiveness. I have licensed to him for his explanation on childhood trauma and dysfunctional families.and for me that greatly helped me be able to let go of my past hurts in that area. His way of explaining things just made me understand further certain truth about how and why people do the things they do. Through his meditation exercise of defocusing from being captivated by ones own thoughts and rather be subjective towards them and not emotionally internalizing them , i have been able to shed my anxieties and be more calm and composed within. Roy masters is not a substitute for the bible. I see his lectures and the meditation excercise= ( cassette tape about letting go of stress, fear, resentments) more as a compliment alongside my daily personal relationship with God my Father through his Son and Holy spirit living in my heart. Thank you Wayne222 , I appreciated you teaching me how to get the cloud download and your thoughts concerning Roy Masters.
  17. After Adam and Eve sined all the earth changed, fromthe animalkingdom to thevegetation. sin came upon the earth. so that everyone born after adam and eve had the sin gene in them. Because one man sinned, sined entered upon the earth. Our genesand blood are tainted by the first original sin. That I why Christ Jesus the only begotten son of God was sent to free us once and for all from the bondege that sin holds withouth Gods plan of Mercy and Grace involved. Christ Jesus Blood came direct from God, just like the blood of Adam before he fell into sin. Christ Jesus came to buy us back from the original sin that brings death. Christ Jesus came to give us life and gives us life abundantly and eternally. even though some were considered righteous, they still had the tainted genes from Adam. Just like now, for all good intentions and purposes we can be righteous but without the blood of Christ Jesus covering our sins, we remain tainted, Even Christ Jesus said don't call me good no one is good but the Father. Christ Jesus was saying this concerning the human nature of man. Christ Jesus came in the likeness of man but He was not with the same tainted blood as mans blood after the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. The old testament says we are all like filthy rags every one of us.
  18. Yea ! yes that was Roy alright. Having listened to Roy long enough , ( and he did acknowledge the holy spirit of God working in our heart in that interview if you listen carefully. and for the longest time that i hear him speaking he speaks of letting the holy spirit of God teach us in our hearts. In the interview he was trying to convey that. If you listen carefully, Roy does not deny Christ died and rose again. I think the thing that Roy does not believe is that Christ Jesus and God are one and the same. I believe that Roy does believe that Christ is the Son of God because he mentions it in his talks, but yes he stop short from calling Christ Jesus God Himself. And that probably comes from His Jewish background. However for the most part of what Roy is saying, is quite true and his message does not take away from Holy Scripture. In any event, I can understand where he is coming from. I get what he is trying to say. I also listened to M Walter respond, and I see from where he is coming from . As for me, I still appreciate a lot of what Roy Masters has to say especially in that debate, I totally get him, because I had heard him so many times before deliberate on the things he talked about in the interview. I can say that licensing to Roy Masters never took me away from my faith in God nor from my belief in the trinity of God the Father Son and Holy Spirit being ONE. I can still find value in what he has to say. But that is just me. I certainly would not want to lead anyone astray form God WORD found in the bible, but my head is capable of following his -Roy's'- train of thought and it is not leading me away from God nor the God I have come to understand from the bible . I believe in Christ Jesus being the Only begotten son of God and that the BLOOD of Christ was pure and divine and came direct from God and that by His stripes we are healed as it says in Isaiah 53. To bad M Walter did not ask Roy Masters about Isaiah 53. I would have enjoyed to hear his answer. When Roy and Walter were discussing the Word, Roy was trying to convey that we need to grasp the Word within our hearts and let it speak to us and guide us, and actually that is what the Word of God does say. In Christ Jesus we become grafted into the seed of Abraham where God Law become circumcised into our hearts by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit now living in our hearts once we have repented through Christ Jesus and asked the Holy Spirit of God to come make a home in our hearts. Like i said early in another reply on this topic , I take him with a grain of salt on certain subject matter like some of his views of marriage between man and woman. I find him to be a bit too harsh , a bit to cold, when the bible in the new testament does tell the husband to love his wife. Roy often mentions his own relationship with his wife and it only my view that had he treated her with a little more romantic kindness she would had also met him more half way, also when a husband and wife become on they both have to give and take from each other and love and respect each other the way Paul mentions a husband and wife are to love and respect one another ( but that is my opinion) I think Roys concept of loving his wife in older years is without giving her the romance/affection she probably would love to receive from him, as many women and also men even in old age look for. But on most other human behavior discussions, I have learnt so much. And the most important message that I have got from licensing to Roy is the importance of forgiving and not carrying resentments in ones heart. Letting go of these freed my head space from a lot of anxiety and depression I used to keep inside, not knowing how to let that go of those before licensing to him talk about it. Roy Masters taught me how to let that go of these, by reminding me what God wants from us and also what is mentioned in Holy Scripture from the bible. So for that I am ever so grateful to have stumbled upon him. And like i said before in no way does that take away my faith in Christ Jesus, the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
  19. Got it Thanks brother. : - ) Going to have me a listen now
  20. Ummm ,What do you mean by that? When I go unto sound cloud I got into sound cloud and typed in the search area : roy master vs Walter Martin. and got no results. I tried to press every category there was: everything sound cloud Go+ tracks tracks people albums playlist I pressed on the orange cloud in the upper left quadrant and got nothing, I click every option I saw available , but still got nothing. How did you get to the site of the video? I did not see that option But nevertheless this search got me to find some other stuff on searching on you tube I stumbled across: Bible Answers Radio Call-In #4: Resurrection, True Church, Roy Masters, Bob George, God's Chastening
  21. Sigh! So I downloaded sound cloud and tries and got nothing. But that's ok. Anyhow, thanks for sharing your input and warnings God Bless In Christ Jesus Always; 1to3
  22. Hi Wayne, I have been trying for the past hour to find that debate of Walter Martin and Roy Master on you tube. Could you please, if you can give me what I can google in to find that debate?
  23. Hi Wayne, I have found that Roy Masters, does not understand Christ Jesus to be God as in the trinity of the Father Son, Holy Spirit of God being One. Somehow, I can understand the trinity being ONE and understood it the first time I read it from the Bible. And yes this part of Gods Holy Trinity this man Roy Master has not yet come to understand . I do hope and pray for him to one day come to understand this. I also believe that prayer and reading Gods Word is what we as Christians need in our daily personal relationship with God. So yes I agree that this man Roy Masters is not to be followed like a religion. Just somehow, I get him with what he has to say on the subject of human nature. I get him on that, and it truly has helped me in so many ways in my daily interaction with people. Especially letting go of my past hurts, and forgiveness. something that for me kept me in emotional bondage most of my life. So like I said before, for that i have no regrets in having listened to him, because I have leaned good things that align with what the bible has to say especially concerning forgivensss. But in my defense, I already knew Holy scripture before discovering Roy Masters. So perhaps this helped me to find discernment in what he has to say that aligns with the Word of God and what does not. However, I can only speack for myself, Roy Masters has greatly helped me see more clearly how human nature works. But yes I have questioned wether all he is saying is correct, and I have found out that -no- not all of what he says is correct. Funny enough I have been praying for Roy Masters to come to understand the Trinity of God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit being one in three persons. Sometimes how he speak, I think he gets it and then no, when he says that Christ is not God and that it is blasphemous to even say that. I think that is coming out of his Jewish background were a veil is still over his comprehention to see this. Anybody I have ever mentioned about Roy Masters, I have also warned them that I did not necessarily agree with some points he talks about that I have already pointed out . Thank you Mabel for bring up this post, because it does point to the importance that we need to be careful to what teachings we lsten to in order to not get pulled away from the truth of the Holy Bible.
  24. I take Roy Masters with a grain of salt. I focus on the positive of what he has to say about the dangers of keeping resentments, harboring grudges and unforgiveness. He has greatly helped me understand human nature, so no I don't regret having stumbled upon him, he as a matter of fact has drawn me even closer to Christ Jesus. But no I am not a follower of anybody other than following a relationship with Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior. i can Appreciate many tings this man Roy Masters has had to say on human behavior and human conditioning. On that he has a very good grasp I have no regrets on stumbling upon him once again 4 years ago. Through his way of explaining things, I have been able to look at life with more acceptance, less harsh judgements and more forgiving eyes. I think i met him just in the right time for me, while he also still had more strength in him four years ago than he has now as he is in his 90th year. Roy Masters explains how to diffuse resentments on the spot by looking at things objectively and not internalizing them. I very much appreciate listening to Charles Stanley, another Christian preacher. I always hold my faith in Christ Jesus along and the Word of God found in the Holy Bible that I hold up against anybody's hearsay . If what a person says does not align with what is written in the bible, I take what the bible has to say over what a persons personal take on things are.
  25. Thank you for bring up your post topic, with biblical references, But the above quote does not confirm the earth is a round ball sphere . It mention "circle" and "face". That could also be interpreted like a round plate surface. If the plate has a face it has a different side and back to it. Just saying... Having now listened to many different arguments for round earth verses flat earth I am not 1oo-% convinced one particular way than the other as both flat earth and round earth theories have their logic, physics and mathematics to support their claim. And that BTW does not make me stupid, it makes me open to see ALL facts available, tried and tested before coming to one specific conclusion in either direction. There is a Christian by the name of Bill Schnoebellen who actually gives bible verses that support the flat earth theory. You can check out the verses bill Schnoebellen gives from the bible. I personally don't know anymore what to believe, because the more I hear from what the government s are doing, and worldly propaganda being thrown around, it leaves me questioning things. The possibility of a flat faced earth does not seem impossible. The bible does say over the earth , the firmaments, there is a dome. Anyhow... that's all I will say about it. But for sure I agree with you that the Holy Bible reveals so much and that only confirms in the beginning was the WORD and the WORD became flesh John ch1 Also I just found another you tube vedio: christian preacher Dean Odle: "the bible does say flat earth" by pastor Dean Odle 1 Samuel 2:8 "For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's and on them He has set the world." Another you tube interview bringing into suspect NASA: Look and google for: " We did'nt land on the Moon. Former NASA scientist admits Game over for NASA Edited just now by 1to3
