Is it a disadvantage to marry a mummy's boy?
Jewels7 replied to HisFirst's topic in General Discussion
I can say I would never marry a mommy's boy. I've seen what that looks like for women married to such men and what those men are like too. Genesis 2:24 -
Isaiah 55:8-9"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

In fact, to further my thoughts, I would think if blasphemy were an applicable term that dogma and doctrine and orthodoxy would be blasphemous. Being God not only tells us that a spirit is the creator of all that exists, also that we shall never think as God can. Nor is God's thoughts conditioned upon our own. That would include opinions concerning the holy eternal all powerful all knowing everywhere present source of all that exists spirit. We're offended defending the box we hope to contain eternity in? Influenced to that end by what we ourself comprehend about words written on a page long generations after first inscribed? When the eternal has told us in that same body of text that that is futile?

Well to address that statement in particular I will say that when God is a spirit there is no male identity afforded God. Therefore, the argument concerning blasphemy would be to wrap God in human carcass and deify male pronouns. When God never did that.

Humanist psychology. Really big now amid such purveyors as Osteen, Jakes,White, and others.

The Shack (2017 Movie) Official Trailer – ‘Keep Your Eyes On Me’ A writer took years to revise the history of an American founding father Alexander Hamilton. Made millions on Broadway and critics loved it. "Loved it!" I wouldn't watch it if it came out on DVD free. Now there's this. People are getting a new visual even for God.

Maybe some Protestants/Non-Catholics can answer......

This may help. Biblical Canon The Protestant Reformation -
Another thing about the Koran is that unlike the Bible it is not orderly. The verses jump all over the place and don't make for a consistent intelligent narrative . Another thing I've heard is that the full import of its message only arrives in knowing the native Arabic language in which it was originally written . In any case, Muhammad borrowed from Judaism and Christianity to fabricate his own ideology. World conquest afforded on two prongs. Religious and political. And one that like Christianity and Judaism will fight to the death for supremacy. The world has seen this drama play before. The crusades. It's like groundhog day, the movie? Only in spurts of generations. Here we go again.

U.S. judge blocks Texas plan to cut Planned Parenthood Medicaid funds

You don't know that. Abortion will never be made illegal in the U.S. again. There's nothing in the current example of government that makes one to think otherwise. -

America use to have values. Then something made that illegal and now we're becoming Sodom and Gomorrah in every way possible -

You don't understand, I really need to talk to God.
Jewels7 replied to groundzero's topic in General Discussion
God already knows what is going on in a life. Surrendering and relaxing so as to follow God's instructions to best navigate it is the real trick. You talk to God all the time. His breath is your breath. Your thoughts are known to him. -

Say what you want about Russia but they clearly don't play PC games. You'll not see a gay pride march down the main road of Moscow and toward the Kremlin. No pink triangle flags hanging in front of homes in Minsk. Russia takes a stand. -

There it is again. Someone isn't doing the thinking for someone else. They must be confused. Studious having provided a link isn't a consideration. Thinking why that link makes sense isn't a consideration. Just stabbing at someone's intellect. That's worthy of consideration. Christian charity lacking by the boatload appears to be someone confused. -

Hasn't happened yet. -
He took it back that which is God prescribed. Jesus was man and yet perfect and not a sinner but he was put to death with the worlds sin upon him . And in so doing he took sin away for the world especially those that believe. Why do we call ourselves still condemned what Jesus died to save us from? I'm not a sinner. I'm redeemed in the Lord. God remembers my sins no more and he is the judge. If I call myself judged by the weight of my being in this world after finding Christ I'm making myself a liar. Because I've not washed myself clean of anything. When God forgets how do I name myself sinner who sins? If God isn't remembering anymore what is that which would be tallied against me if he were but that which condemned me before I was saved by God's grace. Arise from calling yourselves sinners. You're redeemed! Or does God's holy spirit indwell that which is damnation?

I like that.

1 Corinthians 6:12 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.

Heck, we should just annex Mexico and save a fortune on the wall. Put that money into infrastructure and have Mexico pay us tariffs etc.... for the privilege of being added as a U.S. holding.
