  1. I agree with you that it is a good post. I believe the passage you refer to in Exodus, the third command that says thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain, is found in different places in scripture. And in the new testament also. Though I agree I have not found its like in Genesis. The reason I see this is because the passages are there giving the command just in a different wording. Such as, Matthew 5:33-37.|33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Then there is,back in the old testament Leviticus 19:12. And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord. Just a few passages I can recall. There are more.
  2. I would rather let evil speak for itself so as to be known by those with the discernment to see as God wills. A person's personal relationship with God and their personal moral walk in their marriage with their spouse is not subject to your approval. Nor is it requisite that proof be afforded one that does not understand the former so as to continue on in the vein most unfortunate for the pure of heart.
  3. Pray! That's what. National Day of Prayer official website I post this so that all American Christians here may have the date available if they wish to mark their calendar. We have enemies within this nation, ISIS terrorists committing their evil in this country, threats of that same evil looking to destroy the very fabric of this free country. The enemy of God is growing in his hunger to destroy the people of God. He even has converts within the sanctuary of God's own house. If ever there was a time needed to always pray for this country it is now and every day. I think a national day of prayer is a very powerful tool against the darkness. For all people of God to join together their prayers on the same day and to direct their words from the heart to our Father and for the sake of preservation of the Christian faith, strength for our nation against all enemies, and for God's protection for our President and all branches of government, would be a show of strength and resolve to overcome that which is no longer shy about its agenda to destroy all that God does bless. God bless America, our President, our government, and of course all people who are patriots of this land. May our enemies fail in their efforts in the secular and in the church. In Jesus precious and sacred name, Amen and Amen.
  4. Brilliant faith and God's spirit upholding their resolve to not be afraid of the enemy aligned against their very existence. God bless them all. Thank you Danger Noodle for posting this. Blessings, J
  5. Does it offend you to respect the Coptic Christians standing in their faith in the face of the hate and evil in this world that would see them all dead?
  6. Amen! I agree with that . Our faith is a relationship with our Father in Heaven. It's deeply intimate and personal being we have His Holy Spirit sealed within us. Christian isn't a label we affix to ourselves as we would a sticker of some sort to identify us as this or that. It is a way of being. A life-style. A life-covenant. This is how I live my life in Christ. This is why I find it disturbing that prejudice against Godly husbands publishes in the MSM. And yet insightful too as God is always showing us lessons to be learned isn't he? That it so happens a man's respect for his wife is assailed as something that examples prejudice instead of righteousness and respect for one's wife. Or husband as the case may be. I would feel sorry for the mate of such as that which charges sexual discrimination is exampled by a man or woman who respects their spouse. Respect and Godly principles condemned as chauvinism? Have you ever imagined such a thing as that?
  7. Washington Free Beacon BY: Alex Griswold April 18, 2017 6:45 pm An MSNBC contributor wrote Tuesday on Twitter that he hoped the Islamic State would bomb President Donald Trump's property in Turkey. Counterterrorism analyst Malcolm Nance was responding to a tweet of an image of Trump Tower Istanbul that was alleging the property was the reason Trump called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to congratulate him on his controversial referendum win over the weekend. "This is my nominee for the first ISIS suicide bombing of a Trump property," Nance tweeted, and then later deleted. More Reporting:http://freebeacon.com/national-security/msnbc-contributor-deletes-tweet-calling-isis-bombing-trump-property/ When the singer Madonna was reported to be under investigation for saying she'd thought about blowing up the White house, if ever there was reason to investigate a possible domestic terrorist, Nance is it. But it is MSNBC. He's just following orders most likely. If this was a Fox news reporter saying the same thing they'd be getting their pink slip right behind Bill O'Reilly. With enemies like this on the air our Christian President has his hands full. As does Secret Service. God be with our President and his family and all branches of government. Satan's army is on the warpath.
  8. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 King James Version (KJV) 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
  9. I believe the Holy Spirit of God enters the one that first believes in Jesus Christ as their savior. No one comes to Christ but with the Father's prompting. God knows who is sincere and who is not and those who are not can perhaps not realize they do not have the heart that believes. But they feel called to come forward in church or whatever it is that makes them think this is right. When we are Baptized I believe we are then sealed with that Holy Spirit that indwellet us before that. It is the Holy Spirit that convicts the believer of the sins , the errors against righteousness, or right-living, that they make while redeemed in our Lord. Our sins no longer condemn us as they did before we repented and were renewed. However, our faith I believe is a life long journey of growing in the spirit and learning to walk in the love and Heavenly light that illumines our steps in this treacherous world. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13–14)
  10. I would doubt there is proof that the early church leaders did do what was claimed by Shiloh. I have lived in an area that was very popular with what was considered the grand old man of wicca, his creation to rework the word witchcraft, Gerald Gardner. Witchcraft was illegal in Britain until near middle of the 20th century. When the old laws were repealed Gardner published a work entitled, Witchcraft Today. In that work he made the claim that is being made here by some now seeking to recant. That the early pagan calendar in Europe was overtaken by the church missionaries. Those people then turned Yule or winters solstice into Christmas, the feast of the goddess of fertility Ostara into Easter, which would explain the egg's and the rabbits, symbols of rampant procreation, Samhain, the feast remembering dead relatives, into Halloween. Going so far as to claim the Jack-O-Lantern of today was the carved lantern of yesterday when the practice of pagan arts with the church and crown aligned were forbidden. Therefore rites were performed in secret. All manner of claims this Gardner person made and gained quite a following for. His practice became known as Gardnerian Wicca. He claimed to have learned his so called craft from a secret coven of witches . All of it was lies. Every last bit. He conspired with a woman of Britain, Doreen Valiente, who died not but a few years ago, to create a legacy of falsehood that still survives today. Gardner's motive for the claim that the Christian missionaries to ancient Britain overcame the pagan celebrations, and even going so far as to claim churches were built on ancient pagan ritual ground, so as to have a location for which the pagans intended to be converted would be familiar. Making their journey to church an easier and familiar one to navigate to. Therefore, with that brief history shared, I wouldn't worry overmuch about the claims as I've described having their origin in. I don't believe early church fathers would contaminate our Lord's days with such evil. I'd seek proof before I'd be over worried brother. I believe if that is what you intend to say now that you are still entitled by the boards edit clock to edit what you actually said prior: Posted here to assist.
  11. I admire and respect your respect and Christian character as reflects your own covenant with our Lord. And the commitment you have to your wife as well. You may remember our Vice President Pence has this same philosophy in his own relationship with his Christian faith and his beloved wife. VP Pence said he would not dine alone with a woman not his wife. He wouldn't give those prone to gossip mongering the opportunity to assault his character , his faith, or his commitment to his wife. VP Pence was assailed in the MSM by those who could not comprehend such a thing. Some even went so far to report it as sexist. Are we surprised? Respect for one's wife is sexist. I respect and admire your commitments. Be not persuaded by those who are not brother. Let those who have the ears to hear, the eyes to read, and the heart committed to our Lord and Savior remain constant in their faith and righteous resolve to deny the world. And hold fast to righteousness. A rare thing in these times brother. As you will learn as the years go by.
  12. I find this a very brave admission with what I have seen on the forum. God bless the transition to a better heart and mind focused on our Savior and his true testament.
  13. I'd think if the USDoS gave monies to north Korea that there would be something on the U.S Department of State daily press briefings for January 2017.Which if this did occur, tax payer monies being sent to north Korea in early January or the week before Donald Trump was sworn in on January 20th that there would be something in the January daily press briefings to that effect. I found nothing there. https://2009-2017.state.gov/r/pa/prs/dpb/index.htm Nor is there anything relative to monies sent to north Korea in the Special Briefings area at USDoS.All special briefings archive there ends in December 2016. https://2009-2017.state.gov/r/pa/prs/sb/index.htm#January I'd think if this is something the press learned there would be something from the USDoS to that effect. I thought this may be helpful for the current concern. U.S Department of State Briefing on the Situation on the Korean Peninsula Special Briefing Susan A. 14. I pray for my home country every day. Great thread. God bless and keep America and our citizens wherever they may be. Amen.
  15. The Secretary of State back in 2012 shut down the State Department surveillance of radical mosques because its head was concerned over Islamophobic rhetoric dogging the process. At least when the Orlando Muslim terrorist shooting and the San Bernardino Muslim terrorists strikes could have been avoided were it not for that, the files collected can at least be useful now that those concerned for homeland security are in office.
  16. Never dare a man not in his right mind already to prove he's reckless.
  17. Don't forget back in February when Russian fighters buzzed a U.S Destroyer in the black sea. So close our service personnel could see the expressions on the pilots faces. President Trump was new in the office and I believe that was a test of his command reflexes. I believe this is too given the MOAB in Afghanistan. I don't believe Putin is so reckless that he'd think to take on the United States of America to represent a loyalty to Assad. And certainly not Jong-un and north Korea's government. Both leaders are expendable in the grand game of thrones and war powers. Any one of them can be taken out of the picture at the discretion of any nation seeking to change the landscape of current politics. To my knowledge there's actually one carrier battle group headed toward an area of interest. What comprises a US Navy Strike Group? http://www.navy.mil/navydata/ships/carriers/powerhouse/cvbg.asp About the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70)
  18. I agree. Thank you BacKaran for sharing that book title. It looks very interesting. Yes, the Devil is a liar. The father of lies as we're told. Every lie he conceived and especially against the brethren, the saints of holy God, is his delight. Thank God we know his fate as does he. Maybe that's why he's so busy on earth. Because he knows his time is running out.
  19. In the beginning, from the beginning that was the first breath of man at creation, there was God's law. God's laws are within creation and sustain the created. God's laws were given to the first people in the garden. And have stood ever since.
  20. Even the terrorist who took the lives of these Egyptian people knew they were Christians and as such deserved of death. Now this discussion implies page after page, word after word, in a dark and veiled message to add to that terrorists evil that the people in church on palm Sunday were killed for nothing. Because they were not actually in Christ. God rest the souls of his people God forgive the those that lay curses upon the dead. Amen.
  21. I consider the authors of such left wing materials as the OP article linked to have no clue about the faith of Christians. Because that isn't requisite in order to assail the image of president Trump and Christians. This I believe is why such an effort undertaken as that which is produced and linked in the OP fails to impact Christians. We know the enemy wrote the piece. We're led by God's holy spirit. Stories like that are intended to lead the left that already holds disdain for Christians and president Trump to find further satisfaction in their assuming they are on the correct path in believing it all true.
  22. That's OK, I knew what you meant. I had a good hearted chuckle though reading, Mark Twain saying, never the twain shall meet. Accomplished rather easily if Mark avoided mirrors.
