  1. BTW now, would you say less than 2 years now?
  2. To my mind, it is simply that Christian baptism, is baptism as ordained by Christ. Make disciples, baptizing them . . . disciples are followers who have been taught to follow and obey Jesus. That is not infants, and often also does not include many adults who call themselves Christians, regardless of denomination.
  3. Omegaman, I have been to the church you attend, so I am just curious I guess!
  4. Difficult choices, all of them delicious! I am torn betwixt Apple and Cherry. Since some apple is too sweet, I think I have to go with cherry as being more reliably likely to make be squint my eyes! My vote is cherry!
  5. I think there are two categories, the natural man, set on the flesh, and those who are chosen by God to be free to have there minds set on the things, of God, via being born again! Only those enabled by the Spirit, can truly seek and yield to God.
  6. Cherry - Sweet, Tart, Pretty, Delicious, Very Traditional, enjoyed in Europe and North America. Since Worthy is an English language site, is seemed like it should be a contender. Often served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, it is hard to beat. If it does not make it to the finals, I demand a recount! Make pies great again!
  7. Way, way to early to assume that Trump won't win. I am guessing that he will win. Hard for me to imagine, that as politically stupid as Americans are, that we are quite that stupid. I have to admit though that it is really strange, that anyone would think that Hillary, Biden, Bernie, AOC and others, should have a voice in American politics beyond their votes in the polls. The demonstrate a total lack of understanding and concern for what is good for America. It is odd to me, that anyone with an IQ over 70, would favor these people!
  8. That is because it is not the people who nominate and choose the candidates, parties do that. Then it is only the elite in the parties. There are basically only two viable parties, in terms of realistic chances of getting a president elected. Those in the parties with that power and privilege, are too often being politicians whose interests are often tied to keeping and gaining power and other benefits, and see pleasing special interests, and lobbyists, as their keys to more power and re-election. As I said, we have politicians running, rarely do we see any statesmen running, men and women who consider the welfare of the people and of the country as most important. Once every few decades, we might see a statesman in the primaries, but the party elite make sure that they are not the nominees, even if, and perhaps especially if the people favor them. What eludes me is why on earth the Democrat party has decided to put forth such shoddy offerings. I suspect if they went more moderate, they would easily win the presidency in 2020. Instead, they have gone with leftists, when they could have taken a lot of the middle that will not get this way. However by trying to appease the nuts, they sure make decisions easier, and the choices clear. Politically, they do not need to be left, not even left of center, just left of the Republicans would do it I think.
  9. Both are made from milk that's been cultured and allowed to ferment. Greek yogurt is just what you get when you take regular yogurt, plop it in some fine mesh cloth, and allow some of the liquid in it—whey, to be more precise—to slowly drain out, resulting in a thicker yogurt with less moisture. - from bonappetit.com
  10. Sure enough, but the image file size could be reduced out of consideration, and posted in separate posts, so at least a person's computer can have a chance to catch up with the heavy load!
  11. Wow, just wow! I have only watched the first two episodes so far, but I cannot wait to comment here, and to put this information to work with unbelieving family on Sunday! Thank you so much!!!
  12. I do not want to be the discouraging critic, but could you please consider post Bible verse text? My text reader cannot read pictures, the graphics load all but crashes my computer, and the data load kills my phone plan limits! That is like 3 megabytes of files in a single post!
  13. Interesting. I do not know if I agree with all of that, but a certainly agree with a lot of it. I would have to reread it, and then think about it quite a while. I am choosing not to do that at this moment in time, but I want to say, that it is well considered and well written. Thank you for posting this!
  14. I would certainly agree, that it is not the best choice. There are some problems with Roman Catholic Theology and practice, particularly for those who trust the Bible as inspired, but doubt that Popes and councils and traditions are. There is a tendency in Catholic tradition, to base salvation on more than the grace of God, and trust also to ceremonies and rites, which is unfortunate, as it make our works partially responsible for our salvation, thus robbing God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, of the credit where it is deserved. I think the title of this thread contains an error, in that it implies that Catholics are NOT Christians, it would have been better had it said: Should Other kinds of Christians attend Catholic Church? Why would I say that? Christians believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus. Christians believe that Jesus led a sinless life. Christians believe that Jesus was God in the flesh, God became a man in the incarnation. Christians believe that there is one God, in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Christians believe that Jesus died on the Cross for the sins of others. Christians believe the Jesus rose from the grave. Coincidentally, Roman Catholics believe these things also. I think those are pretty hallmark and important doctrines of the Christian faith, and for these reasons I would hesitate to label the RCC as a cult, unless you just use the generic definition of a cult, which basically includes every religious group. I am confident that those of us who will inherit eternal life, will find some Catholics there, while some "Christians" that we might have expected to see won't be there, they will have been sent into outer darkness, where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth.
  15. Why thank you, what a kind thing to say!
  16. I have only just started reading this thread, so maybe this has already been asked, but in light of Matt 12:31: Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. What then under heaven, is an unforgivable murderer! The followup question would be, that if Jesus said ALL manner of sin shall be forgiven men, then isn't saying that only Satan would teach such a thing, not a form of blasphemy?
  17. Sin, in the most basic definition, is falling short of God's perfection, or not following His will. So yes, sin is sin, because God declares it so, we all do it. Last I knew, there has only been one human, to ever not sin. Things like homosexuality, is a sin, because God created mankind for specific purposes, one was procreation. He has declared also, that sex take place within an ordained relationship, of husband and wife, man and woman. Not believing in, and obeying God, are also against His will, and are also therefore, sins.
  18. I tried this and I think if is very good. I used flat noodles though, in place of regular spaghetti [id I spell that correctly?] and a different bouilon [why are so many words hard to spell?}, and fresh basil, and no little peppers. I had guests over, everyone liked it, one of them was a half owner of an Italian restaurant. He said offer fresh grated cheese next time, instead of the jarred kind, otherwise "magnifico". Thanks for the recipe
  19. I have not made bread in years. Might have to try it again soon, I even have a bread maker, if I get ambitious with either, I will post my results.
  20. Or probably an instant pot. Instapot sounds like it would be a brand name. When I Googled Instapot, I did not find any results.
  21. Where in scripture does it say this is the purpose of the rapture? Nice try, but it seems to me that there might be a couple of problems here. Looking at the Greek, the word escape is ἐκφεύγω ekpheúgō; from 1537 and 5343; to flee away. Running away (as Jesus said to do in Matt 24) while the part about being worthy, in Greek, is κατισχύω katisxýō; from 2596 and 2480; to overpower. It could easily mean pray that you have the strengh to run away. Additionally, there is no mention of being caught up, not rapture, that does not come from scripture, it comes from faith in a pre-trib rapture. For a Matt 24 referance: then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 "Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 18 "Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 "But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. That is the convenient thing about the post trib position, one need not appeal to thing that are not stated in scripture to make it's case. I agree that 1 Cor 15:51 is the revelation of the rapture: Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. It even suggests a little about the timing. At the last trumpet. So, What is the scriptural evidence, that the last trumpet, is prior to the tribulation? Notice also, that the dead will be raised and "we" will be changed. I imagine that we would agree, that the "we" could describe Christians, but that as far as the rapture is concerned, it did not end up including the apostle Paul. However, he is likely in the group that is the raised dead. As you know, Paul elaborated on this in another letter: 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thess 4 So there clearly, unmistakably, we cannot be raptured before the ressurection of the dead, which as far as I know, has not yet happened. Still though, no at any moment or pre-trib rapture is mentioned, but that does not matter, after all, what the Bible says is not important as theories I guess here! I'd have said more, but I am afraid this will time out. It doesn't matter though, if this is the sort of thing you have as evidence, there is no need to discuss it I suppose.
  22. Interesting idea, but where is scripture is that to be found? By t"that" I mean some verse or verses stating that something as major as the rapture, occurs specifically before the tribulation, or that it can occur at any time? Also, I am curious, how your post falls under the category of what I think this thread is about: "Defense of the Post Trib Rapture", exactly how is what you said a defense of the post trib rapture?
