  1. King David. The woman Michal..? thought he was behaving inappropriately and rebuked him. David replied (using her word) that he will get even more inappropriate in worship unto God. The relationship from that day on between them was so cold that David never darkened her bedroom chambers.
  2. The son returning makes me think that the answer is.. the prodigal son's father.
  3. I don't want you to be alarmed brethran. The apostle Paul was dealing with false teaching that had leaked into the church, such teaching that was alarming them concerning if the day of the Lord had already taken place.
  4. 8 days.. doctors practice that today when circumcising male babies. It's not "round about" it's precise.. the day when infant immunity is at it's peak.
  5. I did refer to the Messiah that we Christians believe in and know of. And I did say that the one they accept will not be Jesus Christ. Since they are still looking for The Messiah, that means that they don't yet have anyone one to fit their criteria "in the inner rooms".
  6. Now I see what you mean. Sorry that I misunderstood. .. it is similar but at the same time different than just having an emotional sorrow. But I reiterate, at such times prayer in the form of travail and intercession is the thing to do. Those who weep in such a way will in due time come forth with rejoicing, bringing their sheaves with them.
  7. Why would what God is doing be an uneasiness to us? I would think instead that any uneasiness and weeping would be because what the world is doing. Put the weeping to effectiveness and consider it a call to pray that God's will be done.
  8. The Jewish go by different reasons.. a faith if you will, of the Messiah to come. If it does not happen in this year or by an event spoken of by this Rabbi.. then I would count it to be occurring at another time with a possible similar event. I don't know that Rabbi, I believe that he is of the Tzaddik (those of the most righteous among the righteous Jews) but they are on a different prophetic timeclock than we Christians are. Because they look for an entirely human (not divine) messiah to come. They look for a Joshua because that is what Moses said. However, according to the apostle Paul, that Joshua is Yeshua / Jesus Christ The Messiah. That Rabbi said don't bother to vote.. but I'd rather go ahead and vote even if The Messiah was coming just after my vote ballot was dropped into the ballot box. As a way of living as if he's not going to be here until after I'm in a box.
  9. The Holy Spirit is the One that helps us to pray as we ought so that is what I ask of Him.
  10. The two days that are left to be fulfilled are the 2000 years since the crucifixion of Christ. And the third day is the Millennium.
  11. People have been saying since the days of the early church that (such and such event) means that Jesus will come soon. For example, Paul addressed those who saying that Nero was the antichrist and that therefore meant that "the day of the Lord" had already come. In our day, just look at all the times that someone said that some political government leader was the antichrist.. and that therefore means that the apocalypse/7 year Tribulation is just around the corner.. or that it has already started. Any prophecy teacher worth their ordination papers will speculate only, not give a date when it'll happen, or say that we're already in it. And you don't have to embrace the erroneous preterism belief to do that. There were prophecies fulfilled concerning the birth, life and death of Jesus however there are many more prophecies to be fulfilled concerning yet future "day of the Lord".
  12. 1 Cor.4: 2-4 Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. I care very little, however, if I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. 4 My conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who judges me. That is for your assurance as well as for me. Jms.3:1-2 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2 We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man. Will either of us say that we are perfect? Is it judgmental for me to quote this... "Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." 1Jn.4:7.
  13. The apostle Paul stated in Acts 27:25 "I believe God that it will be just the way it was told to me." There are some good Bible based teachings on utube but there are many other videos that claim 'God told them ........'. but in fact the person is just seeking to 'sell it' to the general public. It's rare for God to speak audibly .. when he did in a gospel incident, the people thought that it had thundered. The matter of hearing involves having ears to hear. That is not so easy as some would have someone believe.. as many devout Christians know full well. There are those Christians who don't believe that God speaks at all because we have His written word. There are those Christians who believe God speaks, but most among them have not heard. And yet there are many on utube who say that God told them something... ? I usually think about that.. according to what the apostle Paul taught, God only speaks by means of one of the gifts of the spirit for the edification of the church assembly. That person has to be walking in the Love of God, one who prays as much as the apostle Paul said he did. So.. how godly is that person who claimed that 'God told' them something? Listen only to those that you are confident to have an ear toward God. Jesus our Good Shepherd said "My sheep know my voice and a strangers voice they will not follow."
  14. We are told to be doers of the word of God and not hearers only., and be blessed in our doing. God told Joshua to meditate the word day and night so that he may observe what is written and thereby be successful. So success is a result of doing God's word. Whatever we do we are to do it unto the Lord. Our Christ-life should not be separate from our work-a-day life. We are to "in all our ways acknowledge Him". Or did I misunderstand what you were saying?
  15. That is verse has nothing in it to indicate that it refers to the antichrist. An idol shepard is a religious leader of the people who shirks his divine duties.
  16. Those are all addressing Christians who should be grown in their Christian walk but are not yet. These need to humble themselves and repent for cleansing of unrighteousness as 1Jn.1:9, 2:1 instruct. The scriptures I used refer to unsaved sinners whom God has forgiven. Those and yours are two different groups.
  17. If Jesus didn't die then how do you explain certain scriptures that say that he did die? But wait, you probably have a spiritualized interpretation for them. Acts 4:10; 5:30, 8:15, 13:30, 17:31; Rom.4:24, 6:6, 8:11, 34; 1 Cor.6:14, 15:4; Gal.1:1; Eph.1:15; 1 Thes.1:10; Heb.13:20; 1 Pet.1:21. The resurrection from the dead is central to the Truth of God's Word. He died in our place so that we could have eternal life. The scripture says "Let God be true and everyman a liar." So when it comes to who I will believe, between you or the Bible.. I pick the Bible.
  18. So the pharisees of Jesus day would say. In contrast Jesus replied when one called him good. "There is no one good but God."
  19. There was a period of time from the last old testament prophet until John the baptist. And it's possible that it could also in some ways be speaking about the dark ages when the Catholics had taken the written copies of the new testament away from the common people and taught the traditions of men to them instead.
  20. The so called facts given are not facts but assumptions.. and the numbers are being stretched to make it seem that the Pope is the 666 of the Bible. But, the 666 of Revelation is reserved only for the beast.. the antichrist who is a god unto himself.. having no affiliation with any religion. At the most, the tribulation pope will be "the false prophet" who would have the mark of the beast but not be the beast.. also, the false prophet could just as well be a Jewish one. No one knows.
  21. The apostle Paul addressed the topic in his epistle.. For a Christian adult comparative to the apostle Paul + the apostle John .. to decide to denounce and curse God .. is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It's unpardonable because they have spurned the very means that saved them, and spurned a place for repentance. Those who don't know God and sell themselves to the devil is comparative to being a sinner. It is pardonable because they are blinded by the god of this world. To them the light of salvation shines, there is a place for repentance. Those who don't know God and take the mark of the beast are comparative to a sinner that is literally enslaving themselves to the antichrist - the devil incarnate. That could be unbreakable as far as them wanting to get free. So pardon is not wanted by them. They cannot have spurned what they don't know of. So imo it's not a blaspheme of the Holy Spirit.
  22. They probably were included because they had pygmy mouse, goats and assorted other midget pets.
