  1. While it seems bizarre to me to say Jesus didn't command something that He said, at least proscriptively, be done perhaps 490 times, it seems logical that forgiveness is Heavenly weapon. Use it!
  2. I appeal to you because I see Christians not forgiving as developing bitterness and pain further. Jesus has called us to freedom, not unforgiveness and bitterness.
  3. I can agree with you if the scripture said: "Father, I hand my murderers over to you to deal with, for I know they have not repented." . . . And Stephen died, saying, "Lord, forgive them for what they've done, but only if they repent first!"
  4. If enough is eliminated from Bible history, Jesus would come to people who've not had any pictures or prophesying about Him.
  5. I remain confused by your stance. Do you never forgive someone who wrongs you and then dies before they can repent? Do you never forgive unbelievers who refuse to repent toward men or God? Doesn't Romans say the kindness of God leads to repentance? I continue to try to forgive people who do NOT repent of their actions toward me, our Lord said, "Father forgive THEM, they do not know what they're doing."
  6. What is your understanding of Jesus telling His disciples, "Forgive someone who wrongs you 490 times?" Were each of the 490 wrongs conditional? If someone borrows money and doesn't repay it, I will never lend to them again, but I shall forgive them. Make sense?
  7. Thanks for the correction, I believe the elect are "in the church, true believers, born again." Thanks again.
  8. Do you want Bible verses showing why "the elect (church believers) will not take the mark?" Hint: I just pointed to such a verse above.
  9. So if someone wrongs me than dies soon after, without repenting, I just remain angry at their deceased corpse for the rest of my life? Forgiveness isn't biblically a favor I owe someone, it's a way to be released from having someone hold power over me, and can helped the abused find more freedom.
  10. I would counsel the couple to hand the situation over to God and their anger also, via forgiveness. Quite a few hit and run drivers have gotten saved after such forgiveness was exhibited!
  11. The right way to pray for an enemy--forgive them, pray for their salvation (above any other blessing you'd pray over them)!
  12. The Bible lists more than 30 specific purposes for suffering, but most of these are benefits for born again believers. Suffering puts us in touch with the Divine!
  13. Yes, He was uniquely raised from the dead when "today" He was begotten in the Psalms. JESUS WAS NOT CREATED.
  14. In a Jewish marriage, the Son would build a home for His Bride until the Father told Him, "The mansion is ready, go consummate your wedding!" Jesus wasn't claiming lack of omniscience, He was comparing Himself and the church to a Jewish wedding. No one knows the day or hour but Jesus said, "YOU KNOW WHEN SUMMER IS NEAR BECAUSE OF ISRAEL, THE FIG TREE." No one knows the day, because unless the time is cut short, no flesh will survive. "Look up for redemption draws near."
  15. For Jesus, "begotten" means "resurrected from the dead", not "God created the Son."
  16. Facts first, then faith and feelings. Anxiety/worry/etc. require you to get in-person counseling from church members.
  17. Sounds like we agree. TRUST JESUS, not money or self, for salvation. Thank you.
  18. Money is amoral on its own. Money can be used for good or bad deeds or both. Salvation has nothing to do with loving or hating money. TRUSTING JESUS is salvation!
  19. The church will not depart until the Antichrist is seated on the mercy seat of the coming Third Temple. How does align with a pretrib rapture, to have the 5th seal come before the rapture?
  20. 1. Yes! 2. Yes! 3. Because Jesus was GOD and INNOCENT, subbing in our place. 4. Yes! Now it is up to individuals to respond in trust or perish in Hell. Good questions!
  21. Trusting in self is futile. Trust in Jesus IS salvation. The fruit of salvation is assurance. If you lack assurance, you need to do a check on whether you sincerely trusted in Jesus.
  22. There was no death in the universe before the Fall. Now there is--which seems big enough to match the need for the Savior to die and rise! Check out Romans 8 for a complete explanation of the Fall as it touches the universe outside our Earth.
  23. All couples have arguments, if this was a draining argument, give yourselves permission to rest for a few days before beginning discussions again on the issues. If this was a violent argument, one of you should leave the house immediately for some days, at least, and the other should attend counseling.
  24. Salvation isn't from avoiding the love of money. Salvation isn't from loving money. Salvation isn't from loving the Bible. Do you know what salvation comes from?
  25. Isn't asking them to stop bringing religion to the workplace? And why can't you? "Hi, that's my God, please stop."
