When one considers the great many accusations against those who exploit the poor while giving lip service to honouring God and to the even more encouragements to be active in protecting the poor. One has to assume that any one not helping the poor is not a Christian. How do you help the poor in your town?

The Bible is very clear. Marriage is between one man and one woman, for life. It is also equally clear that homosexuality is wrong. How does this affect you and your new neighbors? It gives you the chance to show the Love of Jesus to more sinner in need of a saviour. If you want more info look up wintery knight and use the search function.

want to know if thisnwill help
Who me replied to faithfull-prophet4040's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
No, just stopping doing these things will not bring you nearer to God. You also need to repent of your abuse of your body and of your ignoring of God in your daily life. 1Cor 6:19+20.. Stop abusing your body with drugs, cigarettes etc etc, turn to God in repentance, tell him you are sorry and start again as you intend to go on with daily Bible readings, prayers and thinking about what you have read. If it helps get a set of daily bread Bible reading notes and follow them. This Sunday Attend church. Ever lit a match? How long does it burn for? It burns far longer if it is in a fire. You need to get into a fellowship so they can encourage you, discipline you and you can encourage them. It is why I have told you to do this in every reply to everyone of your posts. For a change, why not do it. -
To Praise God is natural and right, as Jesus replied to those misery guts who protested at the singing of praise at his entry into Jerusalem, 'the stones themselves would praise him'! Surfing Lockdown it is one of the most missed things, the continual singing of worship and praise.

The Dead Old One Cell Speck Suddenly Came To Life , , ,
Who me replied to JAG**'s topic in General Discussion
You missed the part where inorganic chemicals got together to form 100% pure and left handed chemicals and formed an exclusive club where just the right quantities of these chemicals formed the proteins necessary for living cells. That this exclusive club organised several classes of different programs and taught them how to contort themselves into the shapes required to fit inside a single cell. While doing this they had to avoid ultra violet light, water and oxygen, they are very exclusive these proto life clubs. These ignores how the cell formed, I've no doubt several layers of committees were necessary. As well as how this highly complex single cell complete with DNA, RNA, the means to absorb, move, use nutrients and to move waste products etc finally became alive. Faith in the unreasonable and unexplainable is truly amazing. I'm glad I trust in a reasonable God and Saviour. -
I think the easiest way would be to welcome them to your road/street, tell them about any organizations that exist to support residents etc and generally be pleasant. At some point when chatting you will be able to ask:- ' I'm a conservative Christian, who only knows about LGBT through news and soaps, to prevent me putting my foot in it are there anything or any words I should not use?' Or words to that affect.

Not a must to aim difficult Gospel duties if we are not gifted.
Who me replied to R. Hartono's topic in General Discussion
If we actually obey Jesus and love others, including the unlovely, as we love ourselves. Then we will be doing ' good deeds ' that will make us stand out from our neighbours etc. Loving our neighbour means going against accepted stero types of society and caring for the marginalized, unpopular. -
More to the point the quote is not about ' do people have faith' it is about how there faith is applied. The quote is the unjust judge badgered by a widow. Context is key even for random postings of Bible verses.
-
The work of God is to believe in Jesus. Believers will show there love for him by there obedience to his commands. Bluntly that means living by the ten commandments and being ready and willing to talk about why we are different from our neighbors, work colleagues etc.

Are you addressing Christians or nonchristians, because Christian by being Christian are fulfilling God's will for there lives.

David had fought a bear and a lion. He was a brave and skillful youth. He trusted in God to use his skills. This is an encouragement for us to be as skillful in our knowledge of how to handle the Bible as David was with his sling. Question is are we?

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS OR BEWARE OF THE SPIRITS!
Who me replied to Bro.Tan's topic in General Discussion
As I said you believe in salvation by works. We are saved by God's grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus. We can add NOTHING to that. We show our love for Jesus by how we obey him, by our good deeds etc. We in doing this work out our salvation, but that is still not earning us anything. It is by your stressing the importance of what we do that shows you do not trust in Jesus for salvation. -
This shows the pointlessness of quoting scripture out of context. With Luke 18 the parable is the widow constant appeals for justice from the unjust judge and Jesus' comment referrs to her faith and persistence, ' will there be faith like hers among Christians!'. It has nothing at all to do with whether people will have faith when Jesus comes again.

It is what we see today. People are busy with their activities, too busy to give a moment's though to eternity and when disturbed they reject the gospel with violence, either verbally or physically. Among those who do respond are those who will not accept all that the gospel teaches. In regard to Israel when Jesus told the parable, they had a previlleged background, having the OT but hadn't learnt from it, with regard to today, we have had the benefit of Christian teaching, morality etc in our society yet people are ignorant of this, ignorant of Christianity and unwilling to learn.

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS OR BEWARE OF THE SPIRITS!
Who me replied to Bro.Tan's topic in General Discussion
Ah I understand where you are coming from now. You believe in a doctrine of works, not of salvation by faith. -
As the last few verses of ch24 says and Zedekiah did evil in the sight of the Lord. These priests were among this kings advisors and in the corporate view of society of the ancient world, shared the blame for the king's evil. They were among those who encouraged the king to rebell against Nebuchadnezzar, they opposed Jeremiah the prophet so we're punished.

Anything that gets between you and your worship/service of/for God. That hobby that means one does not attend church, that TV show that means you don't have a regular time of Bible reading and prayer, a diet that means you are overweight and wasting money on food you do not need, a job that takes you away from where you have been serving the local church, even a girlfriend who will not attend church but expects you to be with her. There is no set list, just what ever prevents one from growing in Jesus.

Jesus said, ' I am come that you might have Life, and have it to the full.' Life is found in Jesus, not in giving up but in living and because we have a fullen nature, live in a fallen and God hating society, how we live is vital.. Paul's letters are full of exhortations not to sin, to be careful, to watch how we think because that influences what we say and do. In short, sinless perfection is only achieved in the next life. John went further to say those who claim to be without sin, were not Christian. It is not us or our efforts that makes us holy, our efforts are like used toilet paper. It is only Jesus that forgives us and purifies us.

So challenge him to prove it. Have you read Lee Shovel's the case for Christ? Start following coldcasechristianity so you can not only say what you believe but also can provide evidence for your faith. Challenge him to attend family services, what is he frighten of, fairy tales, or does he secretly believe there is a God.

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS OR BEWARE OF THE SPIRITS!
Who me replied to Bro.Tan's topic in General Discussion
At a total inability to understand a response or to be able to give practical help to those requiring advice and help. -
Fight the battles that are important. Getting stressed over a superstition won't help you or your children. What is important is that your husband regularly attends a church where there is Bible centered preaching and a good number of Christian men doing practice things around the church and that his family also attends family services at Christmas, Easter etc where they will here the gospel. If need be let them know that the ' christening' is only superstition done to minimise family friction. Questions to ask your husband. Just what do you believe? What evidence do you have for that belief? The aim is to get people to know what and why they do or don't believe and for most unbelievers it is laziness.

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS OR BEWARE OF THE SPIRITS!
Who me replied to Bro.Tan's topic in General Discussion
Why do people love to spout spiritual claptrap. What do you mean by run behind his boss ( Jesus )? If you or anyone reading this hopes to encourage a beleaguered Christian say what you mean in simple practical terms. "Run behind his boss!". What you are struggling to say is to do the basic practical things of Christian living. To have a time of Bible reading and prayer, to have Christian books, blogs, podcasts to read, listen to surfing the day. To think about how the Christian world view looks at and understands the days news. To have an extended time of Bible study and prayer regularly. To be faithful in attending your church services, Bible studies and prayer meetings etc. That these are only an outward show of the state of your faith, but they are processes that help one keep your faith where it should be in Jesus. -
IPaul might say that those he was writing didn't need to be taught about loving one another, this is not true today, we do need teaching on loving one another.

Will I be able to get forgiveness?
Who me replied to gamergurl20's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Welcome to the forum. As Well has said, you did nothing wrong and do not need to seek forgiveness. As far as that boy is concerned be careful if you have to be alone with him and vomit the incident, your feelings about it and him to God for him to deal with.
