You can recreate this on a smaller scale and it will never create a shadow that is smaller than the object being projected. Put a flash light 93 inches away from a surface then but a smaller object 1/4" a way and see if it creates a smaller shadow than the actual object or not. Projected shadows are never smaller.

If you are standing in the shadow of the plane then the sun is being blocked entirely by the plane. If you are standing outside the shadow of the plane then no the sun is not being entirely blocked. In the same way someone in Texas is in the shadow of the eclipse, but someone in Arizona at that same time can see the Sun.

That makes no sense. The farther away an object is from the surface that it is projected on the large the shadow will be not smaller. A jet parked on the ground is going to have a shadow relatively close to its actual size. Put that jet up in the sky the shadow will be much bigger on the ground. It does not matter if it is spherical or a triangle a shadow is a shadow.

In the same way neither does the moon block the sun for the entire earth only for certain areas and only for a very short time. The dark strip that across America is the umbra. The shadow of the plane that crosses the ground is the umbra.

Its not that simple. Here is a scenario, so when Sun is at high noon and a large jet fly's overhead the shadow (umbra) of the jet on the ground is massively larger than the actual jet. How does that compute with what you just said?

How can the shadow of the moon be so much smaller than the moon itself? When you put an object in front of a light source the umbra (darker inner shadow) is always far bigger than the actual object. Show me a real world experiment where the umbra (inner shadow) is smaller than the actually object being projected. Before you go on about penumbra, I know that every shadow has a penumbra which is a outer thin hazy shadow where the shadow is diffusing with the surrounding light, but when they use it to explain the solar eclipses the penumbra is not a thin layer but a massively thicker layer that far exceeds the thickness of the actual shadow of the moon is projecting. This does not happen in real world experiments. Try it and see.

That is possible, but as for now the mysterious "great city" fits NYC with great detail. I agree to some degree, but God's word is specific it says a great city and not a nation. Yes, if NYC is destroyed it would effect the US in a catastrophic way. It would most likely cause the whole nation to collapse economically, it would also effect all nations of the world that did business with it. I am pretty sure the world stock markets would crash as well.

Rev 18 says Mystery Babylon is described as a 'great' merchant CITY not a nation. MB has seaports and does business with the entire world. The word 'great city' refers to a 'mega city' in Greek. NYC is the world's largest mega city and is the wealthiest merchant city in the world. NYC has been dubbed the "Capital of the World" due to its trade alliances and diplomacy with the world. Mystery Babylon is said to reign over the kings of the earth and did you know NYC is the home of United Nations Head Quarters which reigns over the kings of the earth. Mystery Babylon is described as a proud Queen (Statue of Liberty) who sits upon many waters (nationalities), and says I will never see sorrow. NYC is the melting pot of the world and the world's largest mix of nationalities and ethnicities more than any other city of the world. The bible says that in MB are found those who murdered the prophets and saints. Rev 13 talks about two different beast. - The first beast is a world government that is controlled by seven world leaders/kings. Sounds like the UN - G7. The US is one of the G7 members, which I believe will be uprooted when the eight king/little horn comes to power. - The second beast is referring to a single person called the False Prophet aka The Man of Sin/aka The Eight King. The seven kings will give their authority over to him, giving him full authority over all nations/kingdoms. He will deceive the whole world into worshiping the first beast (World Government) and will force all all to receive a mark in order to buy or sell and anyone who refuses the mark or bow down to the image of this World Government will be killed.

In situations like this I am slow to make any judgement calls. I don't trust the narratives the media wants you to believe. Yes, I understand. It gets confusing. There are a few schools of thought on this. Some say that Passover and Feast of Unleavened bread overlap each other making Passover as the first day and regarded as a Sabbath. Then there are other schools of thought that say the first day of Unleavened Bread is the high holiday treated like a Sabbath. Today most Jews treat Passover and Feast of Unleavened bread as one event starting on the 15th of Nisan through 22nd. So now throw in the Preparation day as spoken in the gospel as when Jesus was crucified and it gets even more confusing. Sabbaths have preparation days, so was the NT authors calling the Passover a preparation day? Then on top of all this if you throw in the ancient Hebrew Luner calendar which is different from the current Jewish Calendar it gets even more confusing. Some people celebrate Passover based on ancient Hebrew Luner Calendar vs. the current Jewish Calendar and have completely different dates for Passover.

I think there are universal moral laws that are also upheld by Judeo-Christian values that should be enforced such as: Murder, Theft, Bearing False Witness, Rape, Marriage, Pedophilia to include pornography/sexualizing school children, Incest, etc... I don't think there is anyone in politics who is a Christian is advocating for religious laws outside of universal moral laws nor a state run religious system. In fact, the constitution says congress shall make no law regarding religion and the practice there of.

First I would like to say, Its funny how early today you were defending Good Friday as the day Jesus died and then rose before Sunday morning which is less than 1.5 days in the grave to this new view and now act like you are a subject matter expert on this topic. lol Being that Jesus was crucified on the preparation day (13th of Nisan) before Passover (14th of Nisan) and was placed into the tomb BEFORE the sun went down in order to avoid defiling the high sabbath/Passover day. (We know that Jesus died around 3pm aka ninth hour) Therefore, Jesus was placed in the tomb somewhere between 3pm and sunset. Had to be before sunset to avoid defiling the high Sabbath. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they might be taken away. [Jhn 19:31 KJV] This would mean on the evening of 16th of Nisan(Sat/Sabbath) before sunset would be the 3rd full day and would be the day he rose from the grave, because when the women who brought spices to the tomb on Sunday before sunrise said he was not there meaning the resurrection had already happened before they arrived.

It was not based on a specific time as you say but based on when the sun went down. That time changes throughout the season. The sun does not go down at the same time each day. During that time people did not have personal watches.

We don't know for a 100% what calendar they used for certian. Historians say they would have most likely used the Roman calendar system since they were under roman rulership but may have also used the Jewish calendar for certain internal events same as they due today.

I would not get too hung up on when the start of a day begins because even the NT writers did not follow evening starts a new day. See the following scripture In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. [Mat 28:1 KJV] The passage says that sunrise was the start of a new day.

These is how it goes: 13th of Nissan: (Wed) Preparation Day also the day he was crucified and placed in the tomb that evening. Passover lambs were slaughtered on the day of preparation. 14th of Nissan: (Thurs) Passover day of celebration | (High Sabbath) Passover evening would have been the first full day in the tomb. 15th of Nissan: (Friday) the women go buy spices to anoint Jesus body but waited until after the normal weekly Sabbath to go to the tomb (Luk 23:56) | Friday evening 2nd full day of Jesus being in the tomb. 16th of Nissan: (Sat/Sabbath) the women rested | Sabbath evening would have been the 3rd full day in the tomb and Jesus would have been resurrected on the evening of the Sabbath. 17th of Nissan: (Sunday) the women show up to the tomb with spices on Sunday morning but Jesus was not there he had already been resurrected the night before.

Even that calendar is slightly wrong. The Passover starts on the 14th of Nissan so the Preparation day would be the day before which would be the 13th of Nissan. 'The LORD'S Passover is on the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight. [Lev 23:5 AMP]
