  1. Usually by the time I check a thread, everything that can be said has been said. Discussions like this frustrate me so much because it seems like so many people are boxed into their own opinion and won't allow anything, not even the truth and scriptural proof to make them to budge. I agree with what Ayin Jade has posted so far, just to give you my position on the "issue".
  2. I read Yesult's comment. While it may be a valid comment to Yesult, he didn't back it up with any scripture. Read Deuteronomy Chapter 12 Yesult. Also, kids are going to be bullied, life will be hard, regardless of their race. We live in a fallen world, either way. Is it not something God can help them through and use for His will? Telling a mixed couple not to have children is something that does not sound like it would be coming from the Lord. Of course, some people grow up a certain way and have a hard time changing the way they think abut certain things. There is nothing in the Bible that speaks against different races marrying and having children. If it were a sin, God would say so. Let's not put words in His mouth.
  3. Just as we deal with our children individually, God deals with His children individually. We teach our children with the expectation that they will learn, grow, and mature. As they grow we expect them to take on more responsibility according to their own level of maturity, and as they take on more responsibility they are given more privileges. When their responsibilities are not upheld their privileges are suspended, but our love for them is not. We discipline them appropriately, but we do not disown them and kick them out of the family. You are absolutely right. God will never kick us out of His family. Maybe you can help me understand something that is missing here. What if the child leaves and never returns, disowning the family and their name, forsaking his birthrights as if there was no family, as in being dead to him? Will the parents then force their will on the one who says they are dead to him? You see, every example that has been given so far points to those who have not completely turned from Christ. I have not read in any of the posts where anyone has, in their heart, completely believed that there is no God. Even in my backslidden years, I knew God was real, but I just didn't want to obey, but rather, fulfill the desires of my flesh. Yet, there are those who once were His, that have said in their heart that there is no God. People just don't want to believe that this can happen, where I do. The reason is, if it is true, then it can happen to them and they are not willing to accept this possibility. Why do you think you didn't cross the line of not coming back to God though? Why did God allow you to come back when you were living for the flesh, yet He allows some others to slip away for good? Isn't it God who keeps drawing us back?
  4. This thread makes me realize just how much division and disagreement there is among Christians when it comes to certain subjects.
  5. The link doesn't work and I can't seem to find anything on Google Images either.
  6. Grrr....we are supposed to expose false prophets. Even Jesus warned us about them. It's not about being sweet and nice all of the time. Matthew 7:15 - "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." Matthew 7:21-23 - "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matthew 15:8 "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
  7. Stay away from Benny Hinn. Do your research on him. There is a video series on Benny Hinn that you can find on Google video (and probably Youtube) called "Benny Hinn Exposed" I think.
  8. I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish. If you wanted to not talk about Micheal Jackson so much or be involved in conversation about his life or death, then you would simply not get involved. My question is, what are you trying to accomplish? I don't see how anyone here is saying he is worthy of worship, or that anyone in this thread is trying to praise and glorify him, and call him a saint.
  9. If you're so tired about talking about Micheal Jackson then why are you posting some of the longest posts about Micheal Jackson in this thread? And why are you so eager to point out that someone is in hell?
  10. Damo, I agree with you in the way that people should not be "worshipping" Michael Jackson because of his life and death. I also don't think we need to point out each individual failure of someone while on earth anyways. If he isn't in heaven, he isn't there because he rejected Christ. That's the bottomline. And that's for God to deal with, not us. And I wouldn't put God in childish things such as dares, especially when something like the state of someone's soul after death is none of our business. Also, would you speak like this to his true family and friends? Or just behind their backs? No matter how nasty a person he was while living, he still had people that cared about him.
  11. Pride + free will = rebellion. Well we know how flawed people are on earth. We all have sinned before and after salvation. So can we say that we don't have free will in heaven when we get there? Or was the devil and his angels somehow the only ones capable of doing something like that?
  12. I think he is wondering how satan was even able to think up evil while in heaven.
  13. I live in South Carolina and I'm a guy. Rats, just missed it.
  14. I don't see the point in any of us comparing crime stats by race or gender? Why do that? Sure the people where the topic maker saw all the racism has people with terrible views against the opposite color, but I don't see the point in taking up the same kind of behavior by bringing in race with stats and what not. Race, type of sin, or who does it most does not matter!!! Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God John 3:36 - Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
  15. I agree 100 percent! Yet I have met Christians that think other wise Morning Glory, and have been in long Biblical debates over things such as racial marriage not being a sin. I think that even some Christians just can't get over how they were brought up or had been thinking their whole lives, even when the Bible speaks against what they say.
  16. Stats, race, and stereotypes don't matter. The Bible tells us that all have sinned. Even if people are looked at as "good" people or "bad" people, they're all the same without Christ, lost. They're all the same with Christ, saved.
  17. You're right, it's not a Biblical answer. All sin is deadly, not just a select seven.
  18. Hi, I don't want my answer to feel like a finger pointing post, because I am in some of the very same struggles myself at the moment. Bad spending habits especially. I don't know about the short shorts thing, but men are extremely weak to lustful temptation of the flesh, believe me. Perhaps if they lust it's their own issue, but the way a woman dresses still can be a temptation. I'm sure in the Bible it talks about not doing anything to cause others to stumble. Also, God wants the best spouse or boyfriend for you. A Godly man. I'm not saying because someone curses or uses bad language all the time means they are not saved, but you'd have to wonder where they are in their walk, and if you'd wanna get deeply involved with someone like that at that time. I listen to a lot of secular music. But I always check the lyrics. I make sure there is no blasphemy or irreverent lyrics to God. I mean...if an artist made a song insulting your mother, why listen to one that insults and offends the creator? And I really don't watch any television shows. But if a TV show has something like sexually explicit content, the devil and I both know that is my big weakness. I wouldn't want to dig myself in a ditch. It's a place that with lustful struggles I have been in enough. Again, I find myself feeling like I struggle with some of the above things you mentioned more than any Christian. But I realize I still need a lot of forgiving and changing by God.
  19. We had a cat that would try to grab your legs if you were in boxers or shorts. Some male cats are just like that. The lone male cat we have now is not territorial at all, and is one of the friendliest cats you'll meet. I raised him differently by giving him a lot of attention, which is something I didn't do enough of with the other cat. Maybe he was raised differently or something? I don't know if getting him neutered would help any either. Maybe you should suggest that if he isn't already neutered. Other than that, I don't know what else to tell ya.
  20. I want a jelly doughnut.
