. Well our Lord has declared that this is both where he will descend down and reign over the earth from as King of kings. Yes, I believe God sees it as a holy place and will not be pleased when Satan tries taking his place. What got Satan in trouble to begin with he will put everything he has into trying to obtain that goal during the tribulation period.

Well if you look over in Mark it mentions... Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Then in Luke its mentioned... Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Key thing to remember is that during the 7 years of tribulation everything is centered around Jerusalem mainly because Satan is trying to stop the return of Jesus and him ruling from Jerusalem. Jerusalem has always been referred to as the holy city and of course that's where Christ will reign from... so you have the Antichrist (along with the false prophet) sitting in a temple located in Jerusalem (holy city) claiming to be God and causing the world (unsaved) to follow him.... yeah, I believe God will be really offended by this.

Ahh... finished off this work day with a good laugh, thanks LadyC.

Would it have even been possible for them to appear with their resurrected bodies before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ? He's the firstborn Son of God, and I personally believe He is the first. Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Jesus wouldn't have been first if Moses and Elijah had already received their glorified bodies. http://' target="_blank">

Well if you were in Haiti then those you help in your area would then miss the opportunity. God has each of us where we're at for His purpose, and if God desires to take us to another area then He leads us under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As individuals we can't be everywhere at once but Jesus is in the hearts of our brothers and sisters in Christ showing his love around the world.... pretty amazing.

'Doomsday Clock' Moves Away From Midnight By 1 Minute

I bet they're experiencing the same cold snap that we've been dealing with the past week. -
There's a problem here.... Either way its His will, and its not operating outside of His control.

Nothing operates outside of God's control, no not the weather or plate tectonics. The bible is pretty clear that God's anger is often displayed through nature. A little further into Job he touches on the very subject. Job 9:4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? 5 Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. 6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.

Well I know you work in science which I'm sure requires a lot of hard work, studying and dedication. And from what I read in many of your post I see the same is applied to your knowledge of God's Word and the spiritual realm. I believe the Lord may just be reminding you not to become too bogged down with your work to where it may affect your spiritual life. A lot of what we learn and gain understanding of about both this physical world and our bodies will be reversed once we receive our new bodies and enter into eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ. We move from persecution into peace, death into life, tribulations into joy and so on. Perhaps the Lord is just reminding you (and me after reading your post) that after the resurrection a lot of what we do and spend time on won't apply to our lives once receiving our glorified bodies....for eternity.

Their pleasure is in tormenting others and they fear being driven out because of where they return to. Jesus spoke some regarding where they go when cast out, which can be found in Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

Apparently my wife's brain doesn't always release this 'melatonin', I'm always getting a fist in the side or across the face and a knee in the back and the whole time she's having a conversation while dreaming. I don't know if what I experienced had anything related to this but one night I couldn't go to sleep... at least I thought I couldn't. I guess I must have dozed off without knowing it and I could still everything in the room clearly. I could see the alarm clock, the street light shining through the two windows in our bedroom, the pictures on the walls, my closet door opened. Then it felt as if someone was crawling around on the end of our bed and I thought perhaps my wife had gotten up to go to the bathroom and was returning to bed. I then noticed that that she was indeed still beside me. When I looked toward the bottom of the bed there was a dark image in the form of a human only much larger standing there. I knew that name of Jesus was the key but then found myself unable to speak or move... it sounded like a huge rushing wind being pushed through our bedroom at a force that it was keeping me from taking a breath in so that I could speak the name of Jesus. The next thing I knew I was fully awake sitting up right in bed yelling loudly the name of Jesus over and over. As loud as I was speaking... I never even woke up my wife or daughter.

The word ' I ' seems to be popping up a lot. Holy Spirit where are you? Just about every story we read in the Bible of those following God struggled at times and had weakness. God's not looking for a perfect person to do his work... none would be found of us. Just someone to agree with Him and follow what he gives us through the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Just like with those in the Bible they repented after struggling and stepped back into obedience. Obedience is a key word here because basically it means to 'stop trying' or relying on self, and just follow (trusting) Him to get it done through us.

Wow..... someone has some picture talent. I really liked the one of the sunset on the Mount of Olives and tried setting it as my background. But when stretched out on my widescreen it was a bit to grainy. Picture looks awesome though.

Well the first temptation that Satan offered Jesus was attempting to use Jesus physical condition to Satan's advantage. Jesus had just fasted for 40 days\nights and Scripture says that Jesus was hungry... as I'd imagine he would be. Satan tried to get Jesus to turn the stones into bread, but Jesus responded with the Word, "'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Not if Jesus didn't desire for them to see Him and Satan during the temptations. After all, Jesus did pass through a crowd of people that wanted to take hold of Him at one point in His life.

Well I guess that little slip of the tongue will cost us half a billion in building a new secret location.

Agree with Fraught here, remember the Disciples were sharing the good news of what Jesus had done in their lives and offers all... its the same today, when the opportunity arises... I believe simply sharing what Christ has done in our lives gives others an understanding of how Jesus is still doing what He was doing then and will be doing tomorrow... changing the lives of others with the truth.

Moses faceoff- how did the Egyptians get their snakes?
7thseal replied to jeffnevins's topic in Theology
I agree he has power and those limitations are set by God. Here's another example of this, when Jesus was being tempted by Satan. Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And another, Luke 4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: Did Satan instruct Jesus to climb up on top of the temple.... or did Satan place Jesus up there? -
So, you're having fun and both your husband and you are in agreement with the fun time.... yet you feel conflicted. Sounds like the Holy Spirit is convicting you even though others are agreeing. Ask the Lord the exact same questions you posted earlier.... "So, what do you think? How can I better deal with this situation? Should I not drink at all? Not go out with them at all? I enjoy having girl time, but maybe I am hurting any chances to witness to them if the opportunity arises"? You've mentioned that you love your friends but remember, He's also your friend and is right there to help in all situations. Just listen closely for His instructions because He will give you the answers to these questions.

I don't always treat God the way He wants me to treat Him.... yet He always loves me. It's when we are filled with His love that we are able to love others. Just the thought of others experiencing eternal separation from God (all goodness) helps me to love with His love. It might be you in which God uses to reveal His type of love to someone, providing them with an opportunity to see Jesus in you and having a desire to receive what you have.

Yes, Jesus spoke about famine, pestilences (plural) earthquakes. Of course throughout history these troubles have existed but I personal believe a key ingredient when seeing these troubles is after Israel was restored and gained control over Jerusalem. A key word in what Jesus spoke: Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. If its man made, whether released on accident or not... only one verse comes to my mind. Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Do you have a melody singing in your heart??
7thseal replied to angels4u's topic in General Discussion
Amen! Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; -
Praying for you and your family, also for Jesus to touch this person you've met with His love that they might see the truth. Without Christ, they really have no choice.... Just be careful if you're still in contact with this person, especially the words they speak to you. In your battle against these spirits in your home, Satan will certainly use others available to him, to try and manipulate you.

I fully agree with Ovedya here, God desires that we ask of Him and He fully knows each one of our hearts...our intentions and desire for what we ask for. He looks at our heart and responds out of goodness. Sometimes that goodness means not receiving what we ask for because He sees the big picture and knows whether what we are asking for will keep us in a close relationship with Him or just the opposite, draw us away from Him. In the end I believe the intentions in our hearts and whether its in line with the expanding of His kingdom and for the benefits of others is what He looks at. If its in line with His plan and for the benefits of others (not just ourselves).....we may get even more than what we ask for, such as in the case with Solomon. 1 Kings 3:5 In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. 6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. 8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? 10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; 12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. 13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days. 14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days. Notice what Solomon ask for was for the benefits of others...not just himself. In the same, God gave him more than what he asked for...for the benefits of others, not just for Solomon. God saw the intentions of Solomon's heart and it was for the benefits of others, not just in gaining more for himself.
