We all go through this at some time in our lives we are allowed to grieve as its part of the Humen Nature. I can only speak from my personal experiances i also questioned god but i have learnt to give what i am feeling over to god other wise if i focused on what was going on i would be a nerves wreck . my father in law had a kind heart was well respected in the community he had settled in every one that knew him had a kind word to say and would go out their way to help my father in law and my wife what hurt is he had gotten cancer it began to spread and my mother in law and wife and her sister in law and my eldest niece all took turns looking after him i could see what he was having to deal with as the cancer began to spread his right leg was swollen and the Medicen i was buying sort of helped when i first met him for his age at 61 he was very fit worked in the family rice field most of his life on my second trip i saw a fit man wondering what he had done wrong all the family are Christians i felt hope less as i could not talk to him in his language i guess he felt the same as my mother in law and wife had to translate what he wanted to say to me and vise versa cut story short i was in the kitchen praying while the family were looking after him when he began to call for family members and brothers i knew something was wrong he passed away on the 24 feb at 8pm i was in the kitchen from 4 pm praying asking god to give him the peace he needs also asked god to heal him as he was the bread earner he died peace full but i could see it in my wifes eyes and mother in laws eyes i rebuked one person they said he had no faith and did not believe that really got to me the nerve to say this while the family were grieving all i could do is comfort my wife i helped with the funeral cost and food for the week as filipinos do things diffrent his coffin was next to our room i am know seen as the bread winner for the family and i can see where god continues to give me the strength to face what the world throws at me and every day i thank him for the peace i feel draw close to god and let god be god no matter what is going on around us no matter what the world throws at you

WN: Iran showing signs it wants deal on nuclear program - Jerusalem P
damo1 replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in World News
These talks have gotten no were In past talks, both sides have pushed for wildly unrealistic proposals, demanding a lot from the other side and offering little in return. If such grandstanding continues, rather than the courageous statesmanship that is needed to reach a deal, then we are in trouble. Iran can't expect that merely stopping enrichment at the 20% level will be sufficient to close the Iranian file and lift all sanctions. At the same time, lifting of both US and EU sanctions must be part of the solution. In previous rounds, Washington refused to put sanctions relief on the table, thinking — innocently perhaps — that pressure alone would bring the Iranians to compromise. Obama administration officials have told experts in Washington that it will likely go back to the table with the same package as in the summer; that is, with no sanctions relief. European diplomats, while admitting that no deal is possible without sanctions relief, tell me that they do not expect any sanctions to begin to be lifted until late 2013 at the earliest. Continued refusal to make sanctions relief part of the mix from the outset will prove to be a decisive mistake. whats stopping Iran from doing what North Korea has been doing ? look at all the sanctions that have been placed on North Korea North Korea Continues to do as it sees fit -

Then who has the right answer what day was Jesus really born if we are to be told that Jesus was not born on the 25th of December only two bibles i read from are the NIV study Bible and The new spirit filled life Bible I use to have the kings James Bible but ended up giving it away to some one who needed a Bible I have no problem celebrating the birth off Jesus on this day as it is what i was taught as a child and have done the same with my son and daughter so why change things which day do we Celebrate Christmas and new year if the pope is bluntly going to tell us we have it all wrong one thing i told my son and daughter is that santa clause is not reall thats something i made sure that they dont listen to what the teachers say as i did not want them growing up thinking like the pagan world thinks when it comes to santa clause and have them asking questions like why we did not get any presents on christmas day and why did santa clause forget avoid our homes This is what i have found concerning what the op of this thread has put up for us to ponder on The earliest mention of December 25 as Jesus’ birthday comes from a mid-fourth-century Roman almanac that lists the death dates of various Christian bishops and martyrs. The first date listed, December 25, is marked: natus Christus in Betleem Judeae: “Christ was born in Bethlehem of Judea.”3In about 400 C.E., Augustine of Hippo mentions a local dissident Christian group, the Donatists, who apparently kept Christmas festivals on December 25, but refused to celebrate the Epiphany on January 6, regarding it as an innovation. Since the Donatist group only emerged during the persecution under Diocletian in 312 C.E. and then remained stubbornly attached to the practices of that moment in time, they seem to represent an older North African Christian tradition. There are two theories today: one extremely popular, the other less often heard outside scholarly circles (though far more ancient).4 The most loudly touted theory about the origins of the Christmas date(s) is that it was borrowed from pagan celebrations. The Romans had their mid-winter Saturnalia festival in late December; barbarian peoples of northern and western Europe kept holidays at similar times. To top it off, in 274 C.E., the Roman emperor Aurelian established a feast of the birth of Sol Invictus (the Unconquered Sun), on December 25. Christmas, the argument goes, is really a spin-off from these pagan solar festivals. According to this theory, early Christians deliberately chose these dates to encourage the spread of Christmas and Christianity throughout the Roman world: If Christmas looked like a pagan holiday, more pagans would be open to both the holiday and the God whose birth it celebrated.

Christian, he is an employee with low salary ,but it is a long time he saved the money from his poor earning to help a young man pay for his tuition fee,it was lasting years, but when he was in deep illness, the guy who was helped by him never came to see him and even none any comforting word……the poor Christian wrote the post describing his deep sadness and he said he almost lose his heart,he said he can not understand why he suffered these, both came from man and GOD, of course as Christian,we think all things come from GOD. I tried to comfort him privately, and try to use if he is a christian he should have been wise and prayed before helping this young man god tells us to be wise with what he has given us i have learnt to say no and come before god seeking him out first before i decide if i am going to offer any support or financial support sometimes i have asked the same thing my self why do some people have it easy while their are many who are struggling and often are suffering to the point were they blame god if god does not answer a prayer often i have told the poor in my wifes country who come to our church to trust in god no matter what is going on around them i have said to severall young filipino christians to not look at me but look to god i have also had to say no when asked for money as i have seen were the money goes often on alcohol and gambling and i have been told not just by my partner but the pastor has also said what my wife said don"t feel guilty or allow what you see have any effect on you but it already had started having its effect on me to the point were i had to ask god to help me deal with what i was seeing let me say this saying no is one of the hardest things i have ever done what i have today is from god i also understand what its like to starve and go with out i also have gotten angry at god when he did not answer a prayer often i get a request to help a young person out and have had to say i will get back to you and i talk with my wife and the pastor first as guys like my self are seen as an ATM easy target i under stand where this man is coming from i feel for him i feel sorry for him yet he should have come before the lord if he is a christian

we live in countries were we are free to say what we want while their are others who live in countries were they don"t have the freedom like we do in our countries .An American got in trouble for putting up a video discussing what he finds wrong with the philippines On Monday, March 19th, the City of Cebu has reacted to the buzz. Sun-Star’s article “” said that City Councilor Sisinio Andales wanted Jimmy Sieczka declared “persona non grata” in the city. He will file a resolution before the City Council next week. he is lucky he did not get black listed i also have to be care full as a foreigner i try not to rock the boat as i know if i do begin to question or do what this guy did i could be stopped from entering my wifes country The Philippines now has a law that bans abductions carried out by government forces, a practice known as enforced disappearances. Under the new law, anyone convicted of carrying out enforced disappearances can be sentenced to life in prison without parole. The law also prohibits the use of secret detention facilities, and bans the military from using a list of suspected communist insurgents to justify holding people indefinitely This group knows it can say what it wants all due to living in a country that gives them this freedom i can not see how the government can stop this group by signing the petition will it stop this lot has any church leader or pastor challenged this group ? i do not want to step on no ones toes yet i know their are others in third world countries who have not got the freedom we have yet want the very same freedom we have in our countries

Hi yes that is what i find funny like you these tattoos were their before i became a christian but may be i should not lead them on its sort off my pastors fault and my fault as i tend to like to play around have them thinking i do not know nothing about them my pastor was an army chaplin when he took over our church it had only 30 people from 30 it grew to one of the biggest churches in canberra we have also a bible college own a bus that is used on friday and saturday nights have two sister churches planted he does not believe in keeping pews warm he encourages new christians like my self to use the gifts god has given us and you are encouraged to were your not just playing church or keeping a pew warm its sort off my pastors fault when i go witnessing with him and he spots bible college students fresh out off bible college he gets me to play along lead them into thinking they are really witnessing to some one who has never heard the gospel i do not like being told because you have tattoos how can you be a christian religon tends to destroy what god wants to do in our lives i see this in my wifes country how religon has almost destroyed her country to the point were the catholic church is not willing to work with the new president Philippines OKs divisive contraceptives bill MANILA, Philippines—Philippine legislators passed a landmark bill Monday that would provide government funding for contraceptives and sexuality classes in schools despite strong opposition by the dominant Roman Catholic Church and its followers, some of whom threatened to ask the Supreme Court to block the legislation "The Catholic church has steadfastly opposed the (reproductive health) bill for 13 years," said Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, a key proponent. "But I humbly submit this afternoon that there is no force more powerful than an idea whose time has come. never have i seen were religon has had so much of a say in a third world country like my wifes something needs to be done not judging just sharing what i am noticing in my wifes country when it comes to religon and the excuses i tend to hear that is the only way i know off how to make a mormon comfterball yet i always laugh when i hear a morman say how can you be a christian lol

I don't know if there is any easy way to convert a Mormon, but I did stump one. I have read a fair amount of the Book of Mormon, and I could tell that what they are teaching today doesn't even agree with the book they promote. Apparently, the Latter Day Saints doctrine is based on later writings of Joseph Smith? What I did was go to the Mormon's official web-site, and into the chat room. I started asking questions about their beliefs and why they didn't match up with the Book of Mormon? The representative got so frustrated, he admitted he wasn't able to answer my questions, and asked me to come back on another day to talk to someone else. I don't know if that guy was effected to the point of changing his beliefs, but he had to wonder about the contradictions. It is not the fact the Mormons have an additional book they consider scripture that makes the Latter Day Saints church obviously false, but the fact that Joseph Smith changed a lot of things that it says in the Book of Mormon later on in additional writings, and that is what the Latter Day Saints hold to today. The Book of Mormon actually comes against polygamy, yet Joseph Smith promoted polygamy and had many wives. That is what I focus on when I talk to a Mormon. I probably should re-familiarize myself with the Book of Mormon, and complete it, but it is so obviously a work of fiction, it is a waste of time except for witnessing purposes. Hi i would be intrested in anything you have as i tend to run into a lot off American mormons in my wifes country their is a morman church planted in negross occidental la castellana we live in cabacungan which is only 2 hours from la castellana what i notice is filipinos do not like to challange or confront these cults that have been in the philippines for some time i have gone over their doctrine also read their bible and burnt it what i notice is when you begin to question a morman on the way they were taught by their leaders they tend to love beating around the bush never do you get an honest answer i remember one female told me to go to hell i guess i had her thinking hear is where i could not get a straight forward answer even the two americans mormans i was talking to on the jepnee I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19 ESV) my partner gets nerves when i challange a morman i try my best to explaine why i do this and have warned my wife and mother in law not to listen to what they have to say what i notice with the mormans is this they tend to target filipinos who have had no education or can not read as their are a lot off filipinos who have had not had the oppertunity to go to school like we have or learn to read i am very patient when it comes to debating with a morman i tend to ask the spirit to guide me i tend to do this with out the morman not noticing i am asking the spirit to guide me You seem pretty brave! It is scary sometimes to witness to them, they do beat around the bush alot! They always say "that is a good question, I can get back to you on that, can I come over tomorrow?" I have asked them about that verse about not taking out or adding anything to the Bible, but they believe that the Bible isn't accurate anyways so they can't even trust that verse. There are a couple of mormons in my classes in college and they ask me questions about my christian faith, one guy asked me what do I do after I sin, how do I atone for that sin, I told him my sins have been pardoned by Jesus Christ, He bought and payed for me with His blood, so I put my faith in Him and He cancels my debt. He kept asking it again because he didn't understand that I didn't have to do certain things. I left him baffled I guess! We have alot of mormons here, I heard my town is the 2nd largest mormon town after Salt Lake City Utah. I am cornered by them, literally! They live next to me and across from me. Most of the time I can't even tell who is mormon because they are so...worldly. Anyways, Thank you everyone for the advice and input, great suggestion! Shalom, Natalie Hi born again not really i know were you are coming from as this is what has me dumb founded to why so many are wanting to be in a third world country were they think they are doing the lords work which you can see why they are their its like this also in canberra as i support my wife and daughter and mother in law when i get some time off from work i tend to spend at least a month with my wife as i tend to work through the holidays i should be in the philippines know spending christmas and new year with my wife and daughter but i am here in canberra will be planning to travell in august to spend some time with my wife and daughter i just love witnessing to these guys its all due to the way i was taught by my pastor and the people that took me in i mentor troubled young males and had helped set up a community foot patrol in the small country town i use to live in my pastor got me out off my comfort zones and would always take me to dickson and civic on friday nights our church holds an open night church service in civic i always have two mormans stop and talk to me when i am waiting to get the bus to work i see the same as i see in my wifes country a lot off american mormans in canberra

I came to him like I wanted to know more about his church, so I asked him a series of questions concerning contradicions between the Book of Mormon and the teachings of the Latter Day Saints. He beat around the bush too, and told me I should pray as to whether the book of Mormon was true? I persisted in asking questions, and showed him verses from the Book Of Mormon that contradicts their teachings. Again, I did this like a person interested in his church, so he was more open to answering me. Had I come attacking him, he likely would have cut me off immediately? I know I created doubt in his mind, and that was my objective. Here is the problem. If you simply added the Book of Mormon to scripture, you might actually be able to be a Christian. The Book of Mormon recognizes the diety of Christ. I am in no wise endorsing it. You can tell it is a work of fiction, plus the use of Old Testament scripture. Joseph Smith changed his doctrine after completing it, and wrote additional things the Latter Day Saints use today that make them a full blown cult. I even asked the representative if it was possible the Book of Mormon was inspired, but Joseph Smith became an apostate late in life, and this didn't go over very well. He didn't get mad, because he thought I was interested in their church, but he was very defensive of Joseph Smith. It is all in how you handle it. Find out where the Latter Day Saints and the Book Of Mormon are at odds and you will find all kinds of open doors to create doubt and confusion. HI this is what i notice as well how deffensive they are i never come across as wanting to attack them i tend to listen as you can not avoid them in my wifes country even on the jepnees you can not avoid them as they notice your a foreigner and begin to strike up a conversation as foreigners tend to stand out i always start off by how long have you been a morman how long are you here for and then the fun begins i am always refreshing my self when it comes to their doctrine but will not attend one off there services i tend to share how i became a christian as what i find funny is how they tend to freak out i have tattoos and because i am not a white male they tend to ask what country i was born in i am croatian was born in osijek my brother still lives in osijek and my aunty lives in zagreb they know a lot about the old yugoslavia which is no longer known as the old yugoslavia one morman said to me how can i be a christian with the tattoos i have which has me laughing i guess i can see why they target the ones that have had no education

when a person who belongs to a cult who has been brainwashed its hard to even debate you need to know their doctrine real well plus it does not help when they show nothing but hate its as if they get so offensive like they are defending their leader and the doctrine they hold on to Their is a cult in the Philippines called Inglesia NI cristo this cult is a dangerous cult shows hate towards the catholics and protestants and sevral other denominations it sees its self as the true church speaks as if god is only speaking to them but very corrupted as its leaders tell its members who to vote for during the main ellections in my partners country when mitt romney was running for the top job the mormans here in canberra hit the streets all were really wanting mitt romney to win one guy stopped and talked with me i simply said sorry i am not intrested i see also mormans in my partners country had an encounter with two american mormans who decided to witness to my partner she was at the back talking to her friend i was sitting near the jepnee driver who we knew i asked the spirit to guide me and these two mormans just backed right off they got off at the next provinace what i do not like is how these cults pick on the weak and uneducated i could not believe how many cults are set up in the Philippines and how these leaders know who to target

Hi your not alone i can relate to what you have shared but i have a question for you will you forgive her even if she is with some one else my x wife and me are very good friends my x wife is married and we often keep in regular contac with each other due to our son who is only 15 yrs old a lot off it was my fault also when your out off work and under the same roof tempers tend to flare that does not help i get on with her new husband who use to be a youth pastor my son goes to hill song and he enjoys the youth group and has made some good friends at first i found it hard to get on with her new partner thats just being open and honest deep inside i wanted to hurt him as my son know has his family name not mine even though he is my son i had no say they get on well i had to give the anger i had over to god and slowly god helped me get on with my x wifes husband their have been times were i have prayed over him we have had good talks on many diffrent subjects no matter what she thinks off you you have to give her over to god and move on one day god will put her back in your path this is what he did and i am amazed at what he has done even though we are not back together we are seeing we are better off as friends i was told to seek legal aid from a solicitor my solicitor was a good solicitor he was a christian at first he did not tell me he was a christian i only found this out through our third meeting as he encouraged me to hook up with a good mens group that helped guys like my self all thes guys were divorced dads my new wife is from the philippines my son knows i am married and knows about my daughter i do plan to bring my son with me to the philippines so he can meet my daughter i normaly avoid topics like this one as they get very heated they also get to the point were some one like my self gets hammered or told i am weak and had no faith and could not hack obeying gods word i try not to judge or step on any ones toes no one is perfect I do my best not to wonder about the 'what if's' and how I will or will not respond if something comes to pass. Instead I focus on the 'what is' and 'what I can do about it' parts. I strive everyday to simply die to myself and live unto God through the power of His Spirit. I understand that God is in complete control of all things as he has shown me this repeatedly through sovereign acts of his will causing others to both do and say that which he wants them too, though they don't even know the depth of what they are saying or doing. It is the grace of God in me that does through me the things that I am capable of doing. I do not suffer from anger today as I once did. I spend much more time learning from and walking in the Spirit of our Lord and God. In the end we shall see what God decides but for now I stick to the promise that he is working all things to the counsel of his own will and to the good of them that love him. Thanks for sharing your story. Hi its ok and i understand were you are coming from be open and honest what i do not like hearing is this cop out the devil made me do it i had no control its all his fault that is just a simple cop out to were you begin to blame satan for everything that has happend in your llife instead off dealing with what he wants us to deal with by being open and honest and looking at were you had a part to play also

Hi walla I can understand were you are coming from as i have gone through this my self i still keep in touch with the guys at mancare in Canberra and have sent sevral guys to some off the meetings hear in canberra and have encouraged two to think off seeking professional help from the staff at manacre it puzzles me to how some churches fail i am in no position to judge that one i leave to god as the guys i met would have been ignored to the point off getting no help at all as i notice some churches are very picky i notice this when the pastor says lets welcome each other and greet the new people that are with us today what gets me its always some one like my self who is ignored this is something i notice in the meetings weather its an AA meeting or an NA meeting your welcome and people go out their way to get to know you and help you as you said with out strings attached or asked to pay them back some even go out their way if you have no were to stay put you up in their homes or help you get your own place and your not left alone each day some one will come over and see how your going offer you a lift to the meetings and on outings in the philippines its a bit diffrent what i notice the people are very welcoming and your felt welcome to were your invited for lunch after the service to get to know some off the members our church does this we have lunch together after the service ends every one brings something to share to eat the pastor also does this the church was set up by an american pastor its mixed charasmatic penticostal evangelical our building is a basket ball court with a roof attached no walls no windows as it gets hot in the philippines we also have big fans

smoking cigarettes does not lead some one to start shooting up heroin or speed or ice or cocaine and it certainly does not lead a person to start smoking marijuana when i was young i used marijuana to escape the pain i was feeling and as i got older i began to experiment with heroin to the point were i moved on to speed and then started shooting up cocaine it was my choice no one forced me or did i do this to fit in with the crowed just to be accepted for most off my youth i hung around guys who had grown marijuana sold it seen what its done to those that get addicted and into debt same with heroin speed Ice and cocaine on the 13th of august 1990 i put my self into william booth which is run by the salvation army i stuck it out did the 12 month program but ended up busting again it was my choice no one forced me i then tried again by trying teen challange i only lasted 3 months it was a 6 month program not like william booth which was a 12 month program i have been reading what has been put up in this thread you can not blame cigarettes and say it leads some one to start smoking marijuana to were they either shoot up or snort speed shoot up heroin and then try cocaine and then go onto ice i have been clean for a long time know i am 45 i know some guys who still smoke and mess around with the drugs i was addicted to i lost a good friend found dead in a motel room been to to many funerals lost count people take to their drug off choice for many diffrent reasons right know i am witnessing a friend change and its due to the medication his dr has him on i do not want to step on no ones toes every one is at a diffrent stage in their walk god helped me step by step kick what i was so addicted to after trying so hard to kick my old habits you can not ignore what the holy spirit brings to the surface as when the holy spirit brings something from your past or what your not telling those in church or close friends who know you or your pastor he will stick at it something i learned which i tend to not allow history to repeat its self

Bless you damo! Next time you get the silent treatment try this. Give it about four or five hours. By then the steam has stopped coming out of her ears..... Just work up to her and say "I don't know whats wrong, but know this, I love you". I can guarantee you that the silent treatment will stop. You may then have to do every males worst nightmare... Which is listen Don't interrupt unless it is to agree with her, and even if you feel a bit put out, swallow your pride and listen. Most of us men don't do enough listening, and often nor do wives. We all like to talk. As to the helping around the house? 10 points for that! Maybe we should start a marriage guidance thread on Worthy....... Hi fez that sounds like a good idea i do not think that their has been a marriage guidance thread i know what you mean and i am already doing that listening and just letting her have her say and what it is that i need to work on yes its true we do not listen and its the same with our partners .my mother in law pushes me to just talk to her as i am learning when it comes to being married to a filipina whats hard is when you have the whole family living under the one roof and your left on your own when given the silent treatment thats were lap top comes in handy and this forum do not know if its me being hear working hard in Australia but sometimes its like i am courting her like the first time i met my partner when i do get the chance to spend the time i need with my partner and daughter at least my cat does not give me the silent treatment when i come back he greets me pets are good company they do not get up set my land lord looks after him
