  1. We also need to keep in mind not all are meant to be saved. God choose certain people- good and evil to complete his work. Heatheroxoxox
  2. Sounds like a good way to get someone out of office before they even get in. But- he's well liked. so who knows if this shall succeed. Heatheroxoxox
  3. You are not looking at the big picture. US-Saudi relations are heavily based on oil and there are many US companies with quite a bit stake in that relationship. Saudi Arabia is the third largest importer of Oil to the US and the political relationship between the two countries is both complex and provides lucrative benefits for both. There are strong enough ties between the US and Saudi Arabia to make it possible for the Saudis to use our interests both in oil and otherwise to allow Saudi Arabia to pressure the US to in turn pressure Israel. The US government has no interest in the well-being of Israel, and that is just fact. I have learned that while the US people love and/or support Israel, our governments interests in Israel are entirely self-serving. Any support Israel gets from the US is due to the US getting top dollar for its investments. Our government is what I would call a paper ally where Israel is concerned. You can see that just from what comes out of the State Department. I dont know- I tend to think U.S will get destroyed before Israel. Heatherxoxox
  4. I had a similair situation at work. I work in a nursing home. But- One of the patients very with it, and also a Christian. She was actually spending a majority of her day antagonizing me. She really enjoyed it. Another patient explained she wanted to be head of patient commitmee (power). I said ohok and walked away. I ignored her all night and than I walked by her and she said "Hi, How are you?" with a big crap eating grin after threatening to cause me trouble etc. I smiled I said good thank you. She said "good, but you should know im better than you". I cant tell you It took all my reserves to just away and not say a word.... this woman was pure evil. But- point being sometimes we are better off just to hand the situation to God. I kept repeating God please let me stay quiet lol Heatherxoxoxo
  5. Water seeks its own level. Heatherxxx
  6. Kari, we call that regular programing! Well, I meant a cable channel that actually says WET - White Entertainment Television. It would get shut down in a heartbeat for being "racist." Definitely.
  7. Some people just aren't letter writers. Keep sending him cards and letters. I'm sure he appreciates them. Back to the actual question: Do you think Christian friendships should end? Answer: No. Friendships only "end" if something happens that alienates one of both parties. We have ebb and flow within friendships, but ending something that has been considered a friendships grieves all parties. It depends on the persons beliefs. What did Christ say about fellowship and forgiveness. Heatherxoxox
  8. What would we be saying about God and his goodness if we mingled and allowed such evil and participated in it? Nothing, is the answer.
  9. I agree, Arthur. I go to atheist forums, and I have wondered for a while now why they put so much time and effort into creating sites which serve no other purpose than to speak out against Christianity. Actually, I know the answer: Denial. They find comfort in 'doing something' to block out the call and claim of God upon their lives, and create these sites in order to draw in and surround themselves with other people who will reinforce their stance. They think there is 'safety in numbers'. Sad. Denial is apart of the answer. But- The full answer is the devil. The devil has full reign with these people- therefore they spew their unbelief and try to pull in as many as possible. The more that go to hell with them the better. They need company. As the old saying goes misery loves company. Heatherxxoxoxo
  10. I dont believe the line has ended. It was prophesized in bible he would make many nations. So- if the bible states this why do we suggest its not true or has ended now? Heatherxoxoxo
  11. Beautiful Poem.
  12. Heres a different way to look at it. Maybe this is Gods way of strengthening you in a area you need help in? Try to look at it from a positive angle. Knowing what she says doesnt matter about who you are, try to control negative feelings, dont reflect what she is putting on you... Keep studying the word. Remember Jesus was pursecuted for us- What harm can this woman do to you which in the long run she probably hasent already done to herself. Your stronger than that! Be a imitation of Christ. Heatherxoxoxo
  13. So are you saying that if something is not mentioned in the Bible, it must be man made? Well , yes, sort of. There have been some very well known writers critiqued in this thread and whether right or wrong, as far as I know, it has all come from their, thoughts or experieces, and that doesn't make it authentic or real. There is only one true God and only one way to reach him. John 14:6. and you don't have sit with your hands on your knees and your mind in neutral to reach Him. Now the only way you can shut your mind down, which is activated by the brain, is to become unconcious, either by anesthetic or being struck be some object. or being hypnotised, whereby you are in a semi-cosmatosed state, and then the hynotist has command of your faculties. To me, at any rate, emptying your mind is an impossibility if your brain is still functioning under normal circumstances. I like to think that the God of the bible is in full control or there is no one in control. Everything we need is in the bible, and God forbid it isnt the Holy Spirit will provide it. I dont think God wants us isolating ourselves for long periods of time... wouldnt that go against fellowship with other brothers and sisters who are alive? Heatherxoxo
  14. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shalll enter into the Kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."- Matthew 7:21 I've heard "once saved, always saved". Once you pray Jesus and repent of your sins you will enter into heaven. God will occasionally pick you up and help you with your weaknesses through his strengths. I was reading scripture and I found Matthew verse 7:21- which tells me although you accept Jesus if you dont do what the Father God requires (wills) knowing Jesus wont matter, because Jesus wont know you. "... and than I will profess them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that make iniquity." - Matthew 7:23 So depending on our willingness to obey is what will get us into heaven- Im not debating the fact to know Jesus is not mandatory because he is the way, the truth, and the life. But- If we dont recognize the Fathers will in all his greatness and authority knowing the Son wont do any good. Heatherxoxoxox
  15. Whoever created that interuptation is really out- there. Seems like they trying to make some $$ or something IMO. Heatheroxoxox
  16. I soooooooo agree eric. You couldnt have stated it more eloquently Heatherxoxoxox
  17. We spent $300 on me and my husbands wedding on the beach with the "justice of peace". Me, My husband, My daughter, my mother and father- It was amazing. A beautiful June day, mid- 80s. Dinner was about $200. Than we left for the weekend for honeymoon in Cape Cod, Mass. Spent about $6-7 hundred on a nice honeymoon suite with a nice hot tub. so in total was about a little more than a thousand dollars. You dont need extravegant to have a nice wedding, you need love. Me, personally, would never spend that much on wedding even if I had it. Although im a pretty cheap person, I wouldnt spend $50+ on accessories like most people would. But- age doesnt matter, I was wed at 20 years old. Its the intentions of both parties, and if they understand the responsibility and the primary purpose is LOVE. Heatherxoxoxox
  18. Sorry, but I have to disagree in part. I believe that God is Jesus incarnate. God used Jesus as the Human Symbol for mankind because many would not be able to comprehend or understand the God of Heaven. I don't think God is of Human Flesh, although HE is quite capable of producing Human flesh of man so man has something tangible to relate to. I believe we will all be as spirits/angels in a sense in the hereafter. But the one or two sitings that have described God in the Bible only spoke of "a brilliant bright light that was viewed a pure as driven snow. Or as when God appeared in the "burning bush." I also believe that the many script/versus you propose are merely synonyms or terms we can use to ascimilate that God is real and present. __________________________________________ Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but God the Father is not Jesus incarnate. God is a Spirit being "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24), Jesus, who was the Word who was with God from the beginning, (John 1:1), and became flesh and bone (John 1:14), is now a resurrected flesh and bone being; "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have" (Luke 24:39). Jesus now sits beside the father in Heaven "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God" (Mark 16:19); "Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God" (Luke 22:69). How Jesus can sit beside the father in Heaven in a glorified flesh and bone body, and the Father in His Spirit body, and neither has a body is just plain silly teaching which can not be supported by any Scripture. HeatherEljohari Posted Today, 04:02 PM . I agree and it is so because it is stated in Scripture; "And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's" (1 Cor. 3:23); and, "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God" (1 Cor. 11:3). How God can be the head of Jesus, and neither has a body is also silly teaching. Where are the Scriptures which state God and Jesus do not have a body? In end its the chain of command. When you look at a business, you must go the owner to have something accomplished. The Father is the owner of all. We dont belong to ourselves, we were bought. Heatherxoxoxo
  19. I can't imagine it would be against God's will for us to want more, so long as we also desire to GIVE more. We can't truly have peace of mind without all of our basic needs met. If we have God, we do indeed have everything, but that doesn't mean we should be irresponsible when it comes to acquiring more than others have, simply because of guilt. Besides, how does it glorify God if we choose to live in poverty or have less than we're capable of having, because we're confused by guilt? Having more than others shouldn't elicit guilt, but rather, joy and peace, because we can aid others in need. People often look at the wealthy as greedy, and sometimes this is the case, but I know many affluent individuals who have done more good for this world - because they had the material resources to do so - than most of us could ever dream of. Some of us may serve no different purpose in life other than to spread the news of the Gospels throughout our communities and workplaces. Others may have a different purpose, the purpose of giving to others from their "deep pockets" and resources. The man I mentioned above, Frank McKinney, is certainly a fine example of this. Great good can be done with money. It's easy to get carried away with the popular idea that desiring to have more is greedy, but this isn't necessarily what desire amounts to. When there is a desire to improve the lives of others as well, possibly even a church in need, or inner city children in need of clothes, food, or education, I fail to see the greed in that. I'm not saying you should get all-consumed with the desire for wanting more. Take it up with God, don't fight it alone, with only your guilt. That won't get you very far. Let me ask you this: Would you still feel guilty if YOU had the resources to help those who you talk about who have so little, who are starving to death and homeless? I guess not. Thank you for your insight- I have been seeing alot of poverty lately. So im beginning to question if im greedy buying nice things for myself and my family when others dont even have clean water to drink or bath in. Heatherxoxox
  20. Reminds me of someone who was gossiping to me at work... He said do you know so and so. I said yeah. He replied by shes a witch, shes rude, and I think shes cheating on her husband. I said looked up and said ok. What do you think I am going to do with that? Truth is, nothing. Its gossip, and if your a true christian its not your concern, Only God is our concern. It is written in scripture NO ONE knows when and how the end times will exactly come about only the Father, not even the Son. Heatherxoxoxox
  21. Reminds me of the poem- Footprints. you are in my prayers. Heatherxoxoxo
  22. Most if not all of us can agree that The Father is greater than the son? 1john 5:30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me. 6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 8:29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him." Jesus frequently states that without the Father he is nothing, even Jesus has to obey the Father. 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. Jesus is a 1/3 of the Godhead of the trinity, he was manifested into this world by the Father. There was a physical body and there is a spiritual body. Jesus has/had both. So the question: does God have a body, Yes. Heatherxoxox
  23. I believe all Christians having a supernatural awareness, to a certain extent. When I first began on my path as a Christian I went thru hell, literally. I felt so alone, unloved, and I didnt care for life at all. I didnt care if I lived or died, quite frankly. Of course I didnt share that with family members or friends. My conversion was by God, I dont doubt that for a instant. I was drawn to books, one of course being the bible. It spoke to me, I read passages which stuck out... I felt things in my heart, I accepted Jesus through prayer into my life and heart. I awoke from the death I was in. But- point ultimately being, we have a greater awareness of the universe which is God. He speaks to us directly therefore we can receive guidance, knowledge, and wisdom. The difference is from common new age practices and mysticism. They believe the knowledge they receive is endless, whatever spirits decides to share and or knowledge their subconscious shares with them. Where as us God feeds us what we need to know 1. survival, 2. wisdom/understanding, 3. his love. Its the gift of union. God gives his child what they NEED, thats communication and a relationship. New age stuff and mysticism believe especially mediumship and psychic practices either their higher self or the spirit can supply others with information and validation to confirm what they need to know. Its discrediting to who and what God is. "I AM". Not "THEY ARE" Actually upsets me. If thats against God for being upset with these practices, than im very sorry to my Father. Heatherxoxoxo
