  1. How do we move in heavenly authority in our lives?
  2. "If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land." - Isaiah 1:19 This opportunity is given to all who are saved, but not everyone is willing to adjust to a "diet" that is conducive to spiritual growth. Therefore, Jesus said, "For many are called, but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14). In other words, "Few will pay the price in order to be chosen." This process of qualifying begins after we have received the gift of salvation, which has been freely provided for us by Jesus upon Calvary's Cross. The outworking of this gift of salvation requires us to acknowledge that we will face problems and difficulties in our life experience, and of greater consequence, that we will view them rightly. Only then will we be able to appropriately respond to the Lord in the midst of them. We will mature spiritually as we are discipled into who we are in Christ, our "right standing with God" and how to "walk in the Spirit." "Come, My beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give you My loves." - Song of Solomon 7:11-12 There are levels in our spiritual growth, and in our identification with the Lord in the outworking of His PURPOSE for our life. For this process to be accomplished, we must develop a sensitivity to the Lord's presence, that we might rightly respond to Him as He seeks to guide us toward spiritual maturity. 3. Psalm 78:23-25 -- "Yet He commanded the clouds above, and opened the doors of heaven; And He rained down manna upon them to eat, and gave them food from heaven. Man did eat the bread of angels; He sent them food in abundance." As we read in John 6:31-35, Jesus is the manna from heaven. We must have a fresh encounter with Him, every day, and we must partake of Him every day. We should be more addicted to the son of God than a junky is for his next fix. If a junkie does not get his fix he will soon begin to shake. Most of the shaking we go through in life is the result of our not having partaken of Christ, every day. We, too lose our spiritual strength, our vision, and soon go into spiritual convulsions when we do not partake of Him. John 4:13,14 -- Jesus answered,......."The water I give will become a spring of water gushing up inside that person, giving eternal life." QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: What is the status of my spiritual strength and vision today? What am I dong to foster my addiction to Jesus -- NOW? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  4. Psalm 5:3 -- "In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." Hearing from God is living with expectation toward Him because expectation places a demand on the Holy Spirit. We should live with expectation toward God twenty-four hours a day, for He abides within us at all times. God does talk. He is speaking continually. Christians need to develop their receivers (their human spirits) which will enable them to tune in to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, the Lord desires that we LIVE A LIFE OF LISTENING. If we insist on God speaking audibly to us, it basically breaks one of His fundamental laws -- It is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). It takes no faith to hear or obey an audible voice. But it does take faith to pay attention to the still small inner voice and witness of the Holy Spirit. It takes dicipline to command all manner of distractions to be still while we wait before God. KEEPING A RECORD In beginning a life of expectation we need to keep a RECORD. Reasons for keeping a record: 1. The act of keeping a record is an act of expection in itself. You are expecting God to TALK TO YOU. Expectation pulls virtue out of God. 2. Impressions that you receive from God have a way of being quickly forgotten. Anything that God speaks to you is not a product of your reasoning mind or thought processes. Whatever way His voice comes to you, it all bypasses the intellectual reasoning process, and is given to your spirit. When the Lord 'drops' knowledge into one's spirit, it usually has nothing to do with the rationalizing process the mind was going through at the time. His voice may have actually interrupted our thought process. FOCUS ON THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR FIRST WAKING MOMENTS In the first few waking moments of the day, while the mind is still fresh and coming out of sleep, the Holy Spirit will talk to us. It's as though He catches the brain off guard, and in those first few seconds and minutes (if we pay attention) we will hear the Lord. If we start our day by thinking of all that needs to be done, our minds will attempt to figure things out, and we'll shut God out of our thoughts. If we focus on Him, He will talk to us and direct our day. AFFIRMATIONS: I live with expectation, I pray with expectation, I listen with expectation -- I hear HIS VOICE. I take time to listen to the Lord to hear strategies for myself, my family, and the needs of the Kingdom. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  5. Colossians 3:15 - 'Let the peace of God rule in your heart...' A very fundamental way God speaks to individual believers is through His peace. Too often we take the peace of God for granted. God's peace is that eternal tranquilizer that governs our being. Romans 5:1 -- 'Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace WITH GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ.' Ephesians 2:13,14 -- 'But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been made near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of division between us.' There is a difference between having: 1. The peace of God and, 2. Having peace with God Any born-again believer who loves God and desires to serve Him has peace WITH God. This is simply part of the blood covenant. His peace is part of the package. But a common way God speaks to the believer is through the "peace OF God", or lack thereof, concerning specific situations: Colossians 3:15 (Amp) -- 'And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from the Christ rule (act as an umpire continually) in your hearts -- deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds -- (in that peaceful state) to which (as members of Christ's one body you were called (to live). And be thankful -- appreciative, giving praise to God always.' THE HOLY SPIRIT DECLARES PEACE TO OUR SPIRIT The Holy Spirit within is that Heavenly Umpire who continaully declares peace -- or lack of peace. When a Christian may express concerning a decision, 'I just don't have peace about it.' He is not saying he does not have peace WITH God, but that he lacks the peace OF God concerning the specific decision he is trying to make. At other times, when a decision has to be made, the Holy Spirit within may give a tremendous inundation of peace that gives assurance to the believer. This overwhelming peace is indicatation that the decision is in the will of God. THE ABSENCE OF PEACE IS THE ABSENCE OF CONFIRMATION When we walk with God and begin to turn the wrong way, we may immediately sence something lacking. We know His presence is mysteriously missing. We should be sensitive to that lack of peace. As we walk in the Spirit, we should take note when His Presence is missing and turn around. Then ask why. He will reveal the reason. The peace OF God, or the absence of His peace is the voice of the Lord. It is clearly one way He communicates to every child of God. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  6. Hosea 4:6 - "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Proverbs 29:18 says similarly, "Where there is no revelation the people cast off restraint." A more correct and complete translation is: "Without a prophetic revelation, the people go unrestrained, walking in circles, having no certain DESTINY." The word vision refers to the spirit of revelation coming upon you, giving you a vision of things that are unseen. Revelation is so essential in our lives that without it we perish. This is what we live by. Without unfolding prophetic revelation that expands your capacity to see life from God's perspective, you will perish. Without seeing your present circumstances through God's eyes, you will spiritually die. Revelation is critical to the normal Christian life. Ephesians 1:17 - "For I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation (of insight into mysteries and secrets) in the deep and intimate knowledge of Him." Affirmations: I HUNGER FOR AND VIGOROULSLY PURSUE REVELATION. I CRY OUT DAY AND NIGHT FOR THE FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. I ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO REVEAL TO ME THE MYSTERIES THAT ARE LOCKED IN SCRIPTURE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are God's own workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus, that we may do those good works which God predestined for us, that we should walk in them." 2 Corinthinas 3:18 - "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." Seeing His glory is more than just seeing His beautiful colors and majesty of His person. The glory of the Lord is described in a number of ways in Scripture, such as: 1. His Works 2. His Nature 3. His Power By seeing His nature, we are transformed into the same nature. By seeing His works, we are empowered to do His work. By seeing His power we grow in the faith that releases His power. GENERAL RULE: IF YOU ARE DRAWN TO A CERTAIN PART OF THE LORD'S NATURE, PURSUE IT! 1. If we are called to be a pastor or shepherd, we will perceive His glory as the Good Shepherd. A shepherd will tend to see Jesus' shepherding nature in everything Jesus did and will be transformed into that aspect of His glory by this. 2. Likewise, someone who is called to be a teacher will see Jesus' glory as the Teacher in everything He did, and this will transform and impart to them His teaching nature. 3. An evangelist will tend to see Jesus' glory in the Evangelist in all that He did, and they will be likewise transformed into that part of His nature. As the Scriptures verify, we were know by God and CALLED by Him before the foundation of the world. When He made us, He made us with a purpose, and thatCALLING in Christ is over and above our secular vocation: 1. If we are called to a teaching ministry, few things will be as rewarding as seeing people receive understanding about the Lord and His ways. 2. If we are called to a healing ministry, few things will be as rewarding as seeing someone healed. 3. If we are called to prophetic ministry, receiving revelation from the Lord will be one of the most fulfilling things that can happen to us, and so on...... QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. What is it about Jesus that attracts me to Him the most? 2. What is it that He did that I would love to be able to do the most? Affirmations: BY KNOWING HIM, BEHOLDING HIM, AND FOLLOWING HIM, THERE IS A TRANSFORMATION AND IMPARTATION THAT RELEASES HIS AUTHORITY IN ME. MY BASIC PURPOSE IS TO LOVE GOD, BECOME LIKE HIM, AND DO THE WORKS HE PREDESTINED FOR ME. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. "Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart." - Psalm 37:4 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." - John 14:13 He is pulling you away from the old, and taking you under the water into the unknown for a time of being unseen and unheard, for a "deeper depth" experience with Him. LET THE HOLY SPIRIT PROPEL YOU FORWARD You will often feel like you are going backwards, but in reality you're being propelled forward into a greater spiritual growth. The tendency is to strive in a forward motion much like you've always done, but soon you realize that you're no match for the current of the Lord's strength. This is not the enemy doing this! God is asking you to let go of what you "thought" was of Him. Humble yourself and flow in the direction the Holy Spirit is drawing you into. God is asking you to not judge things by your natural eyesight. God is doing something bigger than you can see right now. Yes, He's about to blow your paradigm and expand your destiny consciousness. What's the purpose of this? He is preparing to set you up to ride on top of the next big move of His Spirit, but you have to let go of the old to receive the new. God is going to lift you up on the top of this wave with greater speed, accuracy, and impact, than the one you were previously on. Let go and receive a greater commission! See with the eyes of your spirit man, not the eyes of your flesh. It's time to graduate and go to the next level! It's time to put on the new wine skins fully and receive the infilling of new strength, vigor, and faith. God is getting ready to set you up to ride the wave of your lifetime! Isaiah 42:9,10 - " Behold the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things;......sing to the Lord a new song, sing His praise from the end of the earth! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. Getting in touch with God's PURPOSE for our life can have the single most powerful impact on our own life after coming to Jesus and being born again. All Christians are called to be witnesses, but we also have a CALLING in Christ that is more specific than that. The main factors that will lead to a revelation of our earthly DESTINY and being prepared for it are the following: A. Resolving to do the Lord's will as the chief pursuit of our lives. 1. All Christians are called to be "soldiers of the Cross". All soldiers know that they can be called upon to pay the ultimate price for their cause. For this reason, the soldiers of the Cross are called to take up their crosses and commit to die daily to their own interests in order to serve the interests of Christ: "If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his Cross daily, and follow Me." (Luke 9:23). "For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it." (Luke 9:23,24) "You therefore must suffer hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus." (2 Timothy 2:3) "No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier." (2 Timothy 2:4) "And he died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf." (2 Corinthians 5:15) B. Beholding the glory of the Lord. C. Finding and becoming a committed part of the body of Believers we are called to be with. D. Receiving the ministry of the five equipping ministries listed in Ephesians chapter 4. E. Being discipled by someone other than the pastor. 1. Regular one-on-one meetings 2. Keeps us focused on the prize and off of the many opportunities in the Church and elsewhere that will take us away from what God has called us to do -- our DESTINY. 3. Receiving weekly assignments, will help us grow in knowledge and understanding that will eventually equip us to disciple others and move to higher spiritual attainments. F. Engaging in our calling in Christ. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. Am I totally sold out to the Lord Jesus Christ? 2. Am I willing to agressively pursue the services of someone in the Body of Christ to disciple me in my Christian walk? 3. Name 3 reasons why I need someone to disciple me in addition to my participation in church services, sunday school, bible study clases, Christ encounters etc. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. Christ in me is the hope of glory. - Col. 1:27 Christ in me gives me the power to labor for the spiritual lives of others. - Col. 1:28,29 I have received and walk in Christ Jesus. - Col. 2:6 In Christ Jesus dwells all the fullnesss of the Godhead bodily. Since I am in Christ Jesus that fullness of the Godhead dwells in me. - Col 2:9 I am complete in Christ Jesus who is the head of all principality and power. - Col 2:10 Since I have been raised up with Christ. I set my mind on the things above, not the things that are on the earth. - Col. 3:12 My former lfe is dead and my reborn life today is hid with Christ in God. - Col. 3:3 I lay aside the old self with its evil practices, and put on the new self who is been renewed in the image of Jesus. -Col. 3:9,10 Since Christ is in every believer then Christ is in me. Christ is all and in all. -Col 3:11 I attend to and fullfill my calling in Christ. - Col. 4:17 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. We need to stir up the holy gifts within us - they (THE GIFTS) begin to be released again when we remember God's goodness to us; when we learn to meditate in our hearts on His past faithfullness and His love for us. Hinderances to Heavenly Access include: 1. FORGETTING GOD'S PAST FAITHFULLNESS Psalm 78:41,42 - "Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power....." Psalm 78:11 - " They refused to walk in His law, and forgot His works and His wonders that He had shown them." Mark 8:17-19 - "Is your heart still hardened? Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?" The disciples had lost the power of their understanding, and they were seeing in the natural, not with their spiritual eyes. 2. NOT EXERCISING YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSES Hebrews 5:14 - "But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." Sensitivity comes by using what God gives us. The phrase "reason of use" means "habit or practice" in the Greek. Practice hearing the Lord's voice by: Soaking Being heavenly minded Waiting -- expecting God will show-up Laying hands on the sick 3. FAILURE TO HEAR HIS VOICE "TODAY" Hebrews 3:7-9 - "Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: 'Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years'" We should expect to hear from the Lord every day. Every day is "today". Sometimes it's a small nudge or an impression through a scripture. We shouldn't expect third heaven visitations each day, but we should hear from our Father each day. 4. THE CARES OF THE WORLD Mark 4:18,19 - "Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful." You can't engage the revelatory when you are too caught up in the things of this world. When you are too focused on the temporal, you can't focus on the eternal realm. If your heart treasures the things of the world, then you will have a hard heart. 5. FAILURE TO REALIZE THE WORD IN OUR SPIRIT THROUGH AFFIRMATION, MEDITATION AND VISUALIZATION. 6. THE DECEITFULNESS OF SIN Hebrews 3:13 - "But exhort one another daily, while it is called 'Today', lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Questions to Ask Myself: 1. WHICH IN THE ABOVE LIST IS BLOCKING ME FROM MY HEAVENLY ACCESS? 2. HOW BADLY DO I WANT TO ACCESS HEAVEN IN MY DAILY WALK? WHAT IS MY PLAN OF ACTION? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. Setting My Heart (Read Genesis 30 & Ephesians 5) Genesis 30:37-39 37Then Jacob took fresh rods of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white stripes in them, exposing the white which was in the rods. 38He set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flocks in the gutters, even in the watering troughs, where the flocks came to drink; and they mated when they came to drink. 39So the flocks mated by the rods, and the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted. (As the animals came to drink they would see spotted and speckled rods on the ground near their watering hole which was also their breeding ground. As they came to the water and breed they did so while looking upon the spotted rods. The result was that they produced spotted and speckled offspring and it was all because of what they saw when they came to the water.) Ephesians 5:26 26so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, (More than once the word of God is referred to as water. It cleanses us from the impurities of life in much the same way the laver was used to purify the priests in the Old Testament before going into the presence of the Lord. The blood deals with sin but it’s the water that deals with impurity.) Exodus 38:8 8Moreover, he made the laver of bronze with its base of bronze, from the mirrors of the serving women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting. 2 Corinthians 3:18 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. (It’s not an accident that the lavers of water were made from the mirrors of women. As the bible tells us the word of God is like a mirror.) Proverbs 4:23; 23:7 23Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. 7For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you. (When I come to God’s word I will reproduce what I see i.e. Whatever my heart is set upon when I come to the bible will determine much of what I see in the bible.) Psalm 24:3-4 3Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? 4He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully. (I do not hold or entertain thoughts that contradicts God’s word.) Matthew 7:7 7“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Jesus promises revelation if we will seek: eg. If I’m “looking for love” in the scriptures – I determine to find the verses that reveal God’s love and my service to others: 1. I pray the scriptures – seeing myself partaking and dispensing God’s love. 2. I affirm in prayer that since God is love and that I am in Christ I am love also. 3. I see scriptures that I never before interpreted as love scriptures.) Other areas of bible reading to experience revelation: 1. Greatness of God. 2. Benefits of God. 3. Abundance (freedom from lack). 4. Kingdom of Heaven. 5. Healing (physical and emotional) 6. Discipleship. 7. Faith and Hope (Comparing the two in scripture). 8. Evangelism. Affirmations: What I behold in my heart I seek from scripture and experience revelation. I am in union with God – I have the mind of Christ. God speaks in and through me. I speak only God thoughts. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  13. Exodus 33:18,22,23 - "Then Moses said, "I pray Thee, show my Thy glory!" And it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. "Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen." When Moses saw the Lord's back, what did he see? When we think of seeing His glory we think of everything from beautiful colors to some perception of His nature. Is it possible that Moses prophetically saw the stripes that were on His back? Remember, the Lord was crucified from the beginning. When He created the world He knew that He would also have to suffer and even die for it, yet He continued. There is nothing else that will ever more fully reveal His glory. When we truly behold what He did for us we will be changed. Colossians 1:13,16,17 - "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. Now is the time to dig deeper depths! A country may possess a plethora of natural resources, but if they are not INTENTIONAL about tapping in and developing those resources they will remain in poverty. The same is true in the Kingdom of God: We have been given an abundance of grace for every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). All things pertaining to life and godliness are ours (2 Peter 1:3). On the Cross, Jesus cried out, "It is finished!" (John 19:30). HIDDEN TREASURE There is an intriguing concept taught in the Bible regarding God. Isaiah the prophet received revelation into this mystery and cried out in awe, "Truly You are a God who hides Himself, O God and Savior of Israel" (Isaiah 45:15 The Bible instructs that spiritual treasures are hidden in Christ, "...in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3). Hidden in the original Greek language literally means hidden to be discovered. We see this same truth taught by Jesus Himself: "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light" (Mark 4:22). We need to understand that God is not hiding His riches from us; He is hiding them for us! DIGGING DEEP If we are to experience all that Christ has made available to us, we must dig to deeper depths where the treasure is found, "and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God." (Proverbs 2:4-5). If you were made aware that a veritable fortune was buried on your land, how would you respond? Would you say, "One of these days, when I have time, I will search for the treasure?" No! Your response would be to immediately begin searching. In fact, all other events in your life would be placed on hold until the treasure was in your possession. In Christ, we have a treasure that is of greater worth than all the riches of this world. Many have neglected this treasure and left it buried in the ground of their lives because they have failed to discern the value of what they possess. How was it that for the cause of Christ, Moses so willingly walked away from the power and prestige (to pursue God's CALLING on his life) that was his as one of the most powerful leaders on the earth? It was because of the revelation he possessed of the worth of Christ. "By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward." - Hebrews 11:24-26 Without Holy Spirit's help it is so easy to underestimate the profound worth of the spiritual riches that are ours in Christ. For this reason Paul prays for the saints:"that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints." - Ephesians 1:17-18 WHAT ARE WE WILLING TO GIVE UP TO PURSUE GOD'S PURPOSE FOR OUR LIFE? When you truly come to value what you have been given in Christ (God's CALLING on your life) you will gladly forsake and discard everything else in order to safeguard your inheritance. "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him..." - Philippians 3:8-9 NLT Our tendency is to invest in that which is truly of value to us. How we need a revelation of the riches of glory we possess in Christ Jesus! He is our Pearl of Great Price, our all sufficiency. "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!" - Matthew 13:45-46 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  15. l Chronicles 14:2 - "And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel." David had been anointed king by the prophet Samuel when he was just a teenager. He'd known for years that someday he'd rule over Israel. Yet somehow, it hadn't really sunk in. Finally it dawned on him - he was actually king! At that moment, being king ceased to be something David had only thought about. It became something he really was. He could see himself king. Revelation 1:6 - "And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father.." QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. What has God anointed me to be. 2. What is the revelation of my royalty telling me. Affirmations: I STEP OVER THE LINE FROM TRYING TO BELIEVE TO ACTUALLY KNOWING BY DWELLING ON THE WORD OF GOD. I READ ABOUT IT, AFFIRM IT, AND THINK ABOUT IT. I PRACTICE SEEING MYSELF THROUGH THE EYES OF THE WORD UNTIL THE REALITY OF MY ROYALTY IN CHRIST RISES UP IN ME! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  16. "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18). THE ETERNAL IS THE UNSEEN SUBSTANCE OF HEAVEN We're not supposed to fix our eyes on what's temporal and get stuck there. The temporal things aren't going to last. Instead, we need to focus on what's eternal because what's eternal is going to last forever and it's in the Spirit realm. The eternal is the unseen substance of what's in Heaven. In fact, the eternal overrules the material or physical realm -- the physical symptoms of the sickness that are in your body, and the physical circumstances of your life. Therefore, we need to say, "Come Holy Spirit; so as it is in Heaven, it will begin to be on earth." As we invite the Kingdom of God and as we say, "Holy Spirit come," He brings the realm of God; He brings the activity of God. When the Holy Spirit shows up, a superior order shows up, and it breaks the law of science, it breaks every doctor's report and what every person has said about you concerning what you can and cannot do. It breaks the law of physics and the realm of the impossible. It begins to open up the impossible! It begins to open up the eternal! It begins to open up the supernatural! "When evening had come, they brought to Him (Jesus) many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick" (Matthew 8:16). Casting out demons with a word and healing the sick are manifestations of the Kingdom of God! Later, Jesus said, "But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the Kingdom of God has come upon you" (Matthew 12:28). Believing for a manifestation of God's Kingdom in our lives and walking in a Kingdom mindset is vital. Why? Because we were created on purpose for this purpose! We are body and we are spirit; we are born from above. Jesus told Nicodemus that no one could see the Kingdom of God unless that person is born again or born from above. Jesus said, "I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the Kingdom of God" (John 3:3). AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, SO LET IT BE DONE ON EARTH Being born from above opens up a whole new world to us! It means that you're not just supposed to experience life on the earth with our natural senses and it all ends there. No! But as a spirit being born from above and born again, we're to experience the Heavenly realm with our spiritual senses. To live in that Heavenly realm and to walk in the spirit is to live and believe as it is in Heaven so let it be done on earth (Matthew 6:10). The whole ministry of Jesus Christ was a demonstration, picture, and manifestation of the Kingdom of God. His whole ministry of the Kingdom of God involved bringing creative power out of the Heavens to override the natural and the impossible in the earth, and to release the supernatural of God. For those who believe in Jesus and who are born again, we will do the same works that Jesus did, and greater works than that (John 14:12). God wants us to know that all believers can lay hands on the sick, because He opened it up for all believers to have the ministry and the function of the Kingdom of Heaven. He opened it up for the saints to be released in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us (Romans 8:11). The very Holy Spirit that was hovering over the face of the deep in the beginning, before the manifestation of the world as we know it -- He is the release of creative power. THE GOSPEL OF GOD IS THE POWER OF GOD It's time to receive a revelation about God's creative power--the power that goes hand in hand with the gospel of the Kingdom and the release of miracles. The sick cannot NOT be healed! Do you believe that God wants to release you into a ministry of miracles and give you an impartation of that anointing? Romans 1:16 - "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." When we get a revelation of what the apostle Paul is saying, we will see miracles happen. For the gospel of God is the power of God. It's very important that we understand, that the gospel without power is not the gospel of Jesus Christ the way He meant it to be proclaimed. A gospel without people being saved and healed, and without people being delivered and radically changed, is not the gospel of Jesus Christ! Jesus never said the gospel was just a message you share with people so they can be saved. Paul said, "For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power...." (1 Thessalonians 1:5). And Paul also said, "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power" (1 Corinthians 2:4). Paul had a radical revelation of the gospel in the ministry of Jesus and what that looked like. Jesus always connected the Kingdom of God and the gospel together. The Kingdom is the creative power of God taken out of the Heavens onto an earthly scene for supernatural miracles to be released. The gospel, in a nutshell, is the message that God so loved the world that He came to seek and save those who were lost, and that you need to be born again. Yes, that is the gospel. But the gospel is more than a message. It's also a demonstration of the power of God. WE MUST BELIEVE IN THE DEMONSTRATABLE POWER OF GOD If we believe that you can be a Christian without power or you can be a Christian without miracles, signs, and wonders (believing that miracles passed away with the age of the disciples), then we actually believe that the gospel is powerless. Our mind is saying that Jesus didn't really die and rise again, and the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead really doesn't live inside of us. To say that Jesus doesn't still do miracles today, is like saying that the gospel is just having to convince someone enough until they can have an emotional experience; or we can argue them into the Kingdom if we can just convince them by facts and theology. If we are living in the high CALLING of God's PURPOSE for our life, it doesn't matter what the natural world says. It doesn't matter what we feel. It doesn't matter what we see. It doesn't matter what we think. We are living by another set of rules. We are living by a superior order. We are in the realm of God. We are in the activity of God. So we need to begin to believe that. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  17. John 15:5 - "I am the vine; your are the branches......apart from Me you can do nothing." We were born to consult God to find out His PURPOSE for our lives so that we can discover our vision. Revelation 1:8 - "I am the Alpha and the Omega." God is not only the Author of our vision, but also our continuing Support as we progress toward its fulfillment. Prayer is what keeps us connected to the Vision-Giver. Prayer is where we receive the ability to continue the fight. Isaiah 40:31 - "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." When you have been pressed, ciriticized, and opposed, you can become weak in faith. When people attack your dream, you go to God. You don't try to explain and give an answer for everything because you can't explain anything to critics. Their motives are already contaminated, and they'll use your words against you. Through prayer, God encourages us to get back out in the fight of faith. Psalm 27:1 - "The Lord is my light and my salvation - who shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?" Affirmations: SINCE I STAY CONNECTED TO GOD FOR THE RENEWAL OF MY PURPOSE, FAITH, AND STRENGTH -- I PERSEVERE TO VICTORY. I BASE MY PRAYERS ON GOD'S WORD TO BRING ME THROUGH DIFFICULTIES AND GIVE ME THE VICTORY THAT IS MINE. I STAY IN TOUCH WITH GOD SO THAT I AM NOURISHED IN BOTH LIFE AND VISION. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  18. When it comes to receiving a spoken prophetic word over your life -- don't let it fall in barren soil. We have to cultivate our hearts so that the word produces the expected fruit in our life just as you would care for natural ground that you've placed a demand of harvest on. The ground must be prepared, watched over and watered. STEPS ON HOW TO WATCH OVER THE WORD 1. Position yourself to receive. Hunger often attracts the word to your life. Of course there are times that the Lord will speak when you're not looking for it, but there is just something about hunger and desperation that gets Heaven's attention. Blind Bartimaeus stopped Jesus in His tracks because he was desperate and positioned to receive. Have a heart full of expectation and desire for God's will on your life. Pray for and trust in His direction! "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones." Proverbs 3:5-8 2. Catch the word. Wnen you receive a word to get it on paper as quickly as possible. Writing a word down is the first step in us taking ownership of our part of it. "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:2-4 3. Watch over the word. When you receive a prophetic word, it is important that you are faithful to steward that word. Pray about it, read it, repeat it, and embed the word in your spirit! You must partner with the word over your life! The Greek word "rhēma" is used in Ephesians 6:17 and calls it the sword of the Spirit (the word made real to your spirit)! When the enemy comes at you to bring doubt and hinder destiny on your life it is with this rhēma that you combat the devil! When the devil tells you that you will not, and cannot – remind him what the word says. Affirm out loud and meditate frequently on the rhēma spoken over your life! "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God." - Ephesians 6:17 4. Take action on the word. "For everyone who asks receives [lambano], and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened." - Luke 11:10 The Greek word "Lambano" is an active aggressive verb which indicates receiving INTO ACTION or taking possession through ACTION. Perhaps you were led to believe that you should ask of God and then wait for the answer to fall on you at the right time, as if you were expecting Him to throw a glass of water at you, if He felt like it. However, this Scripture says that everyone who asks MUST TAKE ACTION to receive it. Everyone who asks must "lambano" the answer from God, who is not only willing now but is also waiting for us to do so. 5. Trust in the timing of the word. Do not despise a season of training as God will use it to establish you for where you are going. Be careful to not allow what you may think is a delay to get you discouraged and give up on what the Lord has spoken over you. Trust the Lord and in the timing of His word. He is faithful that spoke over you and is not slack concerning His promise! "So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." - Isaiah 55:11 Be like the faithful farmer – tilling, cultivating and watering what has been planted. Watch it grow in you and enjoy the harvest of seeing it come to pass! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  19. "Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." - 1 Corinthians 1:24 "But of Him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom..." - 1 Corinthians 1:30 God is offering to each of us a much higher Wisdom released by the Spirit of God. Now is the time to embrace true Wisdom, Christ Himself. You might be asking how to obtain this much-desired Divine Wisdom—the passionate quest and resounding question throughout human history. The Holy Scriptures clearly reveal the answer. God's Divine Wisdom isn't reserved for the special few, but is available to all Believers who hunger for intimacy with the Lord and sincerely seek to advance His Kingdom. "If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God Who gives to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him." - James 1:5 WISDOM PROMISES "But to man He said, Behold, the reverential and worshipful fear of the Lord—that is Wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding." - Job 28:28 "The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and skill [the preceding and the first essential, the prerequisite and the alphabet]; a good understanding, wisdom, and meaning have all those who do [the will of the Lord]. Their praise of Him endures forever." - Psalm 111:10 "The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning and the principal and choice part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; but fools despise skillful and godly Wisdom, instruction, and discipline." - Proverbs 1:7 "The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choice part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding." - Proverbs 9:10 STEPS TO RECEIVING WISDOM FROM ABOVE First, we must ask for the Wisdom of God—and keep on asking, doubting nothing. Second, and then we must understand that the Lord's Divine Wisdom is entered through two gates, holiness (as expressed in humility) and reverence or fear of the Lord. These are the gates leading to the pathway of Wisdom. God resists the proud but He gives grace to the humble (Proverbs 3:34, 1 Peter 5:5). What is this grace that He bestows upon the humble? It is the grace or divine ability to know Him and His strategies for bringing His Kingdom to earth—the grace for Divine Wisdom. DIVINE WISDOM - THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT It is indeed the Holy Spirit alone who imparts Divine Wisdom. Notice the words of Christ recorded in John 16:13: "But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future." The Teacher who will lead us into Wisdom is God's Holy Spirit. The Spirit alone—not our natural minds—can guide us into all Truth, Truth in the Person of Christ Jesus our Lord. Specifically, the Spirit "will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]." Ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten the eyes of your understanding: "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened..." - Ephesians 1:17-18 If we ask in simple faith, believing His Word, God will liberally bestow this much needed Wisdom: "If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him." - James 1:5 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  20. John 1:14 - "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth." OBSERVATION: Grace gives me courage, strength, and boldness to let my old way of seeing things and my past way of dealing with life be put to death. The, in Spirit, I learn how to live and to "walk" above every natural event. 2 Corinthians 3:18 - "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord." Affirmations: I ASK THE THE LORD TO SHOW ME HIS PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE AND HOW TO STEP OUT INTO THE GIFTS HE HAS GIVEN ME. THERE IS A MOVE OF GOD THAT IS LIVING IN ME AND THE LORD IS EAGER FOR IT TO BE RELEASED AND BRING GLORY TO HIS NAME. Philippians 3:13 - "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before." Affirmations: I KNOW THAT IF I MEASURE EVERYTHING BY WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN MY PAST, I WILL NEVER GROW BEYOND IT. MY CONFIDENCE RESTS IN WHAT GOD HAS SAID. Hebrews 13:6 - "So that we my boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  21. Isaiah 4:2-6 - "In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious ..... When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain." When we allow God’s purging fire to touch us He will place a covering of glory over our lives to protect us from the spirit of the world. There is a protection when we live in God’s purging fire. CONSUMED WITH HOLY PASSION Song of Solomon 8:6 - “Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD." This verse says that the fire of love is actually the very flame of God. The best part about God’s fire is His fire of love. When we are touched by His fire He not only purges the dross out of our lives but He also consumes us with the fire of holy passion. God is looking to pull out His glory on the people who are consumed with one desire. As we allow His love to consume us and everything in us that is not of Him, these flames of passion will begin to light fires that not only burn in our hearts, but turn us into torches of blazing light. The light in us will draw those who do not yet know Him into the flames of His presence. OPENED HEARTS TURNED TOWARDS JESUS Revelation 1:14 - "His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire." 2 Chronicles 16:9 - “For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars.” Jesus is described as having eyes like flames of fire. He is looking for those whose hearts are opened and turned toward Him. The Lord wants to bring us to the place of the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-5). This revelation is what enables us to surrender all. It allows us to love and trust Him so completely that we lay down our agendas, turn aside from the everday, and launch out into the miraculous. It is what ignites us to be His flames of fire that burn - so the world might know His light. WITNESSING THE LOVE OF JESUS TO THE WORLD We go from the place of the burning bush where we encounter His love, to being burning bushes that carry His love. As we blaze with His love, shining brilliantly with the gifts, and fruits of the Spirit that witness that love to the world: 1. Many will be drawn from the paths they have been on and into encounters with the Holy One! 2. Many will be healed. 3. Many will be delivered. 4. Many will be saved. We become "human torches" that arise and shine, going forth into the streets and communities of cities and villages. People turn from their paths, come running up to us and ask, "What is this flame that does not burn you?" "What is this fire that radiates off of you?" "What is this warmth?" AFFIRMATIONS: I am a "human torch" that illuminates lost mankind. I carry the power and anointing of the kingdom of God. I set myself on God’s alter today to allow myself to be consumed by His fire of purging and His fire of love. I refuse to allow the move of God in me to be mis-carried. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  22. Job 2:13 - "So they sat down with Job on the ground for seven days and seven nights, and none spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief and pain were very great." Job's life helped create the awareness for the need of a savior. Job is the question. Jesus is the answer. If our study of Job (and other Old Testament issues) doesn't lead us to Jesus as the answer, it reveals we never really understood the question. Any understanding we have about the nature of God that can't be seen in the person of Jesus, must be questioned. Ephesians 4:13 - "In the knowledge of the Son of God we shall become like mature men, reaching to the very height of Christ's stature." Notice that coming into maturity is the result of gaining the knowledge of the Son of God. This revelation will completely change the believer, because as we see Him we become like Him. This will enable us to accurately represent Jesus. Ephesians 1:17 - "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him." Prayer: I PRAY TO GOD TO GIVE ME THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SO THAT THE EYES OF MY UNDERSTANDING MIGHT BE ENLIGHTENED AND THAT I MIGHT KNOW WHAT IS THE HOPE OF MY CALLING IN CHRIST. 23. So, looking forward, not from Johns perspective of the vision, why would the Euphrates need to be dried up in a modern world, where bridges exist and and the capability of crossing rivers with huge Armies was proven to be a somewhat easy chore in World War Two ? That is the logical question. And is the Army even an Army of men or is it an army of Angels/Saints ? Is this event symbolism of Israel/Judah being saved by Cyrus, the "anointed one" (Isaiah 45:1) a type of Christ/Messiah, via the drying up of the River Euphrates. The deliverance from the Babylonian captivity as foreseen by Isaiah becomes in itself a prophetic picture of the deliverance of the spiritual Israel, God’s remnant people, with the conquering Cyrus (Christ) as the great Deliverer for whom they have waited. The designation of Cyrus as “my Anointed” in Isaiah 45:1 is significant for in the Hebrew it is “my Messiah” and the Greek form of course is “Christ”, both forms meaning “anointed”. This, with the designation ‘My Shepherd’ (48:28) also a messianic title, marks Cyrus as a type or symbol of Christ”. Isaiah 46 and 47 continues the prophecy of Cyrus (but also adds what can only be future events) but its all linked with the description of the destruction of Babylon. In Revelation 18, the pattern is repeated in almost identical fashion concerning end time spiritual Babylon. As concerning the Destruction of Babylon, in Daniel 5, they all drank wine out of the vessels of the temple of the Lord and praised and worshiped all of their false gods therein. (Gold, silver, brass, wood, stone) And the same hour the "finger/hand of God" wrote their destruction, "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin" meaning God has numbered thy Kingdom, and finished it, thy Kingdom has been weighed in the balances and found wanting, and thy Kingdom is laid waste and divided. So is Revelation 9 and the Drying up of the River Euphrates a symbolic gesture of a coming Salvation unto Israel/Judah ? A defeating of "Babylon" ? It would seem so. The "Thousand" mentioned in Rev. 9 is the Greek word MURIAS G3461 meaning (1) ten thousand (2) an innumerable multitude, an unlimited number (3) innumerable hosts ----From G3463; a ten thousand; by extension a "myriad" or indefinite number:—ten thousand. The 200 Million mentioned in Revelation 9:16. This number is expressed in the Greek as 'two myriads of myriads' or in numeric form, "two 10,000 of 10,000". There is no Hundred in the verse anywhere. I am pretty sure this means Two Myriads of people. Is this an Army of men of War attacking Israel, or an Army of Men/Saints/Angels delivering Israel ? In Revelation 9 a horde of Demons is loosed from the bottomless pit when the Fifth Angel sounds the Fifth trumpet, and is given the key to the bottomless pit. (Rev 9:1) Their "Breastplates were of Iron" but the Army of the Myriad or 2 thousand thousand, has Breastplates of What ? {breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, } ( Two Myriads we must ask, could it be the Great Multitude and the 144,000 ? Just a thought. ) The breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue and sulfur yellow of the horsemen equate to the breastplate worn by the high priest. Exodus 28:15 You shall make the breastplate of judgment. Artistically woven according to the workmanship of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine wove, linen, you shall make it. Only in this case all 200 million (or all of the Myriad or the innumerable number) are being presented as high priests. The power of these horsemen (fire, smoke and brimstone) comes from their mouths and their tails. { The mouth represents The Holy Spirit/Word of God, and the tails represent the venomous (9:19 their tails were like unto serpents) actions against mankind they have been given the power to bring forth.) Rev. 9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. 19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. 20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. So, these Myriads are placing plagues upon whom ? People that worshiped idols of gold, silver, brass, stone and wood (Just like Daniel 5 and the Judgment of Babylon) and they would not REPENT of their evil ways. This is Gods plagues, upon an evil mankind. The (200 Million ?) as they have been called are actually two Myriads of angels/men/saints or servants of God that are Judging mankind with plagues. Everyone has this backwards in my honest opinion. Where is this 200 Million pictured as coming against Israel ? The Kings of the East in Rev. 16 is a different event than the 200 million on Rev. 9, it is a Vial Judgment/event, not a Trumpet Judgment/event. I think it is the Kings of the East alright, but it is Persia ( Just like Daniel 5 ) Syria, Turkey and the hordes of Islamic Muslims, who might very well, not being a modern army, see the River Euphrates drying up, as a calling for them to attack Israel, these might actually travel across the River bed, and Turkey, who has a Dam that can block the water or Dry up the River might instigate this, more than likely it just dries up . Lot of what ifs here, but the main thrust of the matter is, the Kings of the East and the Two Hundred Million (or Myriad and Myriad) are not the same event, at all. One is a Trumpet and the other is a Vial. The fall of Babylon was the signal for the deliverance of the Jewish remnant from their long and languishing exile under their Babylonian conquerors. Under the Persian rule, the command for their release was given, first by Cyrus the conqueror of Babylon and then by the great kings who succeeded him. Revelation again speaks of the "drying of the River of the Euphrates. Once again this needs to be connected with the deliverance of God’s remnant from the persecuting oppression of last day Babylonian overlords. (Last Beast System) The sixth Vial (Kings of the East coming against Israel) is immediately followed by the seventh which relates to the destruction of Babylon, and the following two chapters of Revelation 17 and 18 are a prophetic enlargement of what is stated in brief in chapter 16. The drying up of Euphrates therefore must be taken in a prophetic sense, of the way being prepared for the final overthrow of the great Satanic oppression that has made the nations drunk with its wine. So attack and oppression is followed by deliverance. In Revelation 19 we see Christ, the KING of kings, riding forth with the armies (Saints and Angels) of heaven. They come to deliver God's remnant people (Israel and Christians who were left) and put an end to Babylon and the forces supporting Babylon. Ancient Babylon a city "most proud," with "a golden cup…that made all the earth drunken…of her wine." Jeremiah 50:32; 51:7. Has a remarkable link to last day Babylon in Revelation 17-18. (False Religion and Gov. without God at its head) Yet she was to fall suddenly and be destroyed (Jeremiah 51:8). Then God would call Israel, saying, "My people, go ye out of the midst of her." Jeremiah 51:45. These exact words are repeated in the book of Revelation to Israel about the importance of coming out of modern Babylon (Revelation 17:4, 5; 18:2-8). Jeremiah 50:29 Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel. 50:31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee. 51:7 Babylon [hath been] a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. 51:8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. 51:45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD. Amazing !! This matches up with with God coming against Babylon the Great Harlot in 17 and with Babylon the Beast in Rev. 18. The Sixth trumpet begins with the mention of a voice coming from the golden altar before God. As this altar is also called the 'altar of incense', there is an implication that this 6th trumpet event occurs in answer to prayer, Rev 5:8. In the narrative of the 6th trumpet we have a clear historical reference back to when the Chaldeans crossed the Euphrates and defeated the house of Judah. Refer 2 Chronicles 36:15-20. In the book of Zephaniah, who lived in the days immediately prior to the Chaldean invasion the Day of the LORD is clearly described as a day of trouble for the land of Judah (note verses 1:4,7,10,12,14-15,18, 2:1-3). Other nations are later mentioned, but primary attention is given to the wrath directed upon Judah. So, have I made a good case, am I crazy, or might I be on to something ? I been studying this a few weeks, this sprung up by accident from my studies on Babylon. My first thread.........Have at it........God Bless.
  24. 1 Kings 19:9 9Then he came there to a cave and lodged there; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” So the word of the Lord came to him “what are you doing here Elijah”. This is one of the most important questions God will ever ask us. His questions probes the reality of our spiritual state. He is asking “how did your service to me become dry and desolate?” He wants us to know that when we fail to esteem Him as our first love, we will always find that a desert awaits us. God never intended for religion. He intended to have a people called by His name to steward, be productive, and carry His presence to those around us and to the nations. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. Does sitting in a church service each week hearing a good message and worshipping together give me all of what I need? 2. Am I living my experience of being part of the Church through two hours on Sunday and maybe a home cell group on Wednesday evening ie. is this the only thing that defines my spiritual development in the Kingdom? 3. Am I active in my thoughts and communications with the Father in my everyday life? 4. Am I being transformed by His presence? 5. Am I "asking, knocking, and seeking" to discover God's calling on my life in Christ? 6. Am I personally discipling others to equip them for discipling new Christians in the Church body? 7. Do I believe that I can change the world? Luke 16:16 - "The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it." This realm of God’s Spirit does not come without “pressing” – without contending. The first thing about pressing is seeking. Pressing into it means there is a passionate pursuit of God in prayer. The word “to seek” means to diligently look for and search out earnestly until the object of the search is located. It is as crying out and hungering for the presence of God. AFFIRMATIONS: God is about to bring my life to a new beginning. I press into and lay hold of the kingdom of heaven in an aggressive way. I have a burning heart of fiery witness and passion when it comes to exhorting others in their walk with God. I repent from trying to do God's will without abiding in His presence. 25. The Church will begin to take on more of a "military mentality" in the coming times. We are called to be an army, and in many ways we will start to reflect this in a much more serious and focused demeanor in the leadership and the people. There is something about conflict that does focus our senses. We have been in a war against darkness of the most desperate kind for the whole history of the Church, but not all seem to understand this or live as they would if they did understand it. This, too, will be changing as more of God's people come to this understanding. It is important that we keep in mind that the greatest warriors are also the greatest worshippers, just as we see with King David. These two go together, and if they did not, the hardship of battle could produce some very unchristian behavior in Christians. We will not be able to take the intensity of conflict and battle without being hardened--if we are not continually softened by worship. A DIFFERENT KIND OF WAR Ephesians 6:12 - "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkenss of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." We are also in the most different kind of war. We are fighting to save people, not kill or wound them. We are actually fighting to help free and save many of the very ones who will be used to attack us. We are not warring against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces that are using them. We must keep, not only a softer attitude toward people, but we must love our enemies. We love our enemies because we are fighting for them, not against them. This truth requires a higher vision, a higher reality, than just looking at things in the natural. We must have our spiritual eyes open to see and live another reality. Therefore, the great call of these times is to fulfill II Timothy 2:3-4: "Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the One who enlisted him as a soldier." A soldier does not enlist for a vacation. Though many may have become Christians because of a promise of health, wealth, or the solutions to their problems, true soldiers have enlisted with the very real commitment to be willing to go into harm's way, and if necessary, pay the ultimate price for their cause. True soldiers of Christ go even further, resolving to die every day to this world so that they live for the sake of the Gospel. True Christianity is a life of sacrifice. As we are told in Matthew 16:25: "For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it." THE ULTIMATE FREEDOM It is true that when we lay down our lives daily for the sake of the Gospel we find a fulfillment in life, peace, and joy in a way that is incomprehensible to those who do not know Him. There is no greater liberty that we could ever know than to be Christ's slave. To walk in the courage that it takes to be a soldier of the Cross is the path to the ultimate freedom--the freedom from fear. If we have died to this world, then there is nothing this world can do to us. One who is dead does not fear rejection, failure, or anything else. The paradox is that being a soldier of the Cross is at once the hardest thing we could ever do and the easiest life we could ever live. Even so, true soldiers do not serve for the rewards or benefits, but because it is the right thing to do. The Lord is worthy of this devotion. We were bought with the ultimate price, His own life, and we now belong to Him. As Paul wrote in I Corinthians 7:35, "And this I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but to promote what is seemly, and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord." BE PREPARED FOR PERSECUTION A factor we must prepare for is that the brighter the light of the Church becomes, the more threatened those living and loving the darkness will become, and the more they will attack her. Christians who are not prepared for persecution are not prepared. Like it or not, the brighter our light becomes, the stronger we become, and the more we will have to fight. Even so, there can be no victory without a battle, and the bigger the battle, the bigger the victory will be. We also have the great encouragement that we are on the side that cannot lose if we remain faithful. Affirmations: LIKE KING DAVID I MAKE WORSHIP MY DAILY TOP PRIORITY. I DIE TO THE WORD EVERY DAY FOR THE SAKE OF THE GOSPEL. EVERY DAY AND IN EVERY WAY GOD IS OPENING THE EYES OF MY UNDERSTANDING TO SEE INTO THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL REALITY. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
