You did what The Holy Spirit wanted I sensed that in The Spirit, this is wonderful. Now please see, and understand, no church is perfect, nor do they always serve God, I have learned this more, and more, and you need to find your way through The Way, Jesus Christ, that does not mean you have to stay at that church, you can go somewhere else, or you can stay there, either way is your choice, God will have purposes for you to fulfill either way you choose, in this teaching you have become the leader, and a leader serves, so serve in the way you want to, you are not under any man, if you serve God, you are a servant of Christ, and not of any man.

'cuda, That really is sad. I would spend some time in prayer to overcome any bitterness and approach him. I would ask him directly whether it would be a permanant break or not. If so, I would ask why. It could be something else completely.

or maybe you could start stockpiling some high-powered weapons just in case???

Just to update in some way. I received an e-mail from my worship pastor telling me that he had found someone else to play keyboard (which is what I do on the team) for this Wednesday night. I think I've been doing every Wednesday service for about 7 months now, and all of a sudden I should "enjoy your day off" (as he put it). Not quite sure how to take this, especially considering I never implied or asked to not play on Wednesday nights. Granted I don't care if I play on Wednesday night or not. Fine with me if I don't have to, but the way this was presented to me just gives me a bad taste in my mouth, if you know what I mean.

This was just the icing on the cake for me today. My bosses wife just had it in for me today, and to read the e-mail from my worship pastor just about did it for me today.

Time to go play some golf.

Ever think our FATHER might be making a "move" in your life, and could possibly be about to "promote" you to a new level??!:wub::):)

Be excited my friend......HE's working it out for YOU!

No, I'm not cut out to be in a leadership position at a church. My gifts aren't made for that. I have no compassion for people, and if you told me to pray for someone I would do it, but my heart just wouldn't be in that really. I love to play and sing on the worship team, but to ask me to lead the worship team just wouldn't be for me.

"Promote" me? Doubtful.

'cuda, I understand your feelings. However, if GOD calls you. He will give you the compassion you lack. Just be sure to ask Him. Otherwise, you may miss out on a blessing.

You ever heard the phrase, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink"?

You may be able to get me in the kitchen, but that doesn't mean I'll suddenly grow a desire to become Emeril.

Catch my drift?

Just remembered that when God called Moses to deliver His people Moses was reluctant because of his speech problems. He didn't feel he could it because of this but looked how God used him! With God all things are possible!

Well, I'm gonna back barracuda here a bit.

I've learned to be careful about making assumptions of God's plans.

Could God be moving him in new directions of ministry? I wouldn't put it past God to do that.

But could God be after something else? Sure!

Maybe the Lord has a new worship band for him to join? Maybe the Lord just wants change in his church? How will the youth respond the barracuda being kicked out (as it seems), considering how much thay enjoyed the freedom he showed. Teens are funny, you know. They may decide to pick up where he left off. Who knows?

Seriously, I can sympathize with his reluctance to worship lead. I mean, unless you've been in a worship band or worked with a worship leader, you can't really understand what it takes. Trust me, it's not that easy. It's more than just getting up front and singing songs. You need to plan and organize and direct people and coordinate with sound crew and overhead or power point crew (however they deal with people being able to see the words to each song) and decide which songs to play and yet still know how to listen to the Spirit's directing to change course if needed and know how to work out this redirection with everyone else. Oy! It can be very stressful!

So, if 'Cuda can honestly look at himself and say he doesn't have this in him, I'll take him at his word - because I would be in the exact same boat. I'm an awesome follower, but I couldn't handle leading.

So, I say, let's keep him encouraged, pray for him and his church, and see what the lord has up His sleeves in His own time and His own way - without jumping to any assumptions, OK?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
