I don't know maybe I'm reading into this to hard please clairify?

What does "Outside of Faith" really mean?

Thanks,

ray

Faith is a belief in God & a trusting acceptance of Gods' will. I believe it to be an allegiance loyal to his ways.A set of principles & beliefs.

Sin is breaking either of these two commandments.

Matthew 22

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

If you actually did the first commandment would there be any room left to sin?

In CHRIST JESUS

All I know about sin is, if you dont confess it before the father and repent of it you don't get forgiven. What is sin? It's a condition of our soul that we are born with. It is not something you do. You are born with it and you will die with it, it can be treated but not cured, but Praise be to God it can be forgiven if you are humble enough to acknowlede it.

just my thoughts,

eric.

You are born with it and you will die with it, it can be treated but not cured, but Praise be to God it can be forgiven if you are humble enough to acknowlede it.

I need some clairity on this part of your statement eric. I know if I'm sick with flu that it can be treated and be healed and cured. Like wise if I have a broken an arm it can both be treated and cured and I don't have to live with it any more. Also, I was not born with the flu, but according to you I'm born with flu and I will die with the flu. God can forgive me of the flu but I will never be cured of the flu. That makes no sense to me. But that is how I understand what you are saying. So you are to say by the statement that you make that as sinner I can be treated and forgiven but my sin can never be cured. If my sin can not be cured what is the point of having healing services. What is the point of forgiveness; If I can not be cured. I hope I'm not miss understanding you but that is what it sounds like to me. So please help me understand if I'm miss reading what you are trying to say eric.

Thanks

ray

Confess a sin that I didn't commit? I don't understand...never heard of that before.

Sin is not an overt act? Where did you get that from? Why would the Bible tell us not to sin, if it wasn't within our power to sin?

Sin is the #1 leading cause of spiritual death among humans.

See Genesis chapter 3.

I believe sin is anything that separates us from God. It can be stealing, it could be something as innocent as watching t.v. instead of spending time in bible study and prayer with Him.

Why is it hard to love the sinner and hate the sin? I think I have said this in a previous thread but I believe it's because we don't see people as Jesus sees them. Somehow we think that people have to be deserving of our love when really it is not about whether they did anything to deserve it or not. Jesus commands us to love others. Plain and simple. We just have to take the focus off ourselves, our feelings, our pride and try to see people the way Jesus does, with love and mercy.

I'm not so sure about this. Jesus took on all the sins of the world when he died so if I have accepted Him then when God looks at me he sees His son. I wouldn't be able to get into heaven if when I died God looked at me and saw sin. God is Holy and cannot look upon sin or allow it into heaven.

What is sin? It's a condition of our soul that we are born with. It is not something you do.

I agree that sin is something that you are born in to but I don't believe that it's not something you do. Sin is a choice it's not just something that happens to you.

Sin is #1? Is there another? :t2: I can't think of any.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
