I also can relate to this ,I care and really I am sorry you are hurting right now,and please if you aren't yet ,please start going to church in person as God meant it to be person to person in person(not only online) and have a support system in church life for you, and in prayer and talking it out with pastor , too and growing close to let God be first in your life and HE will help you heal and work this out. Please don't punish yourself(talk it out so you don't hold it all in and it turns inward against you) and know that many of us also have been through similar and that God brings us out when we put Him first. The intensity you feel right now will change and lessen in pain for you in time and Gods help for you. Give your self time to recover and get better ,but do go to church and not let praying or going to church depend on feelings.God is more than a feelings HE is God and when HE is first in our lives ,our lives get right with Him and so do we and find healing.

Prayers for you in Christ,

elkie

Whenever I get in a bout with depression, God always reminds me that I have a choice. It's MY choice to stay in it or to get out of it. You have a choice. You can either stay in it, or you can make a CHOICE to come out of it. Basically, you need to consider the TRUTH. The TRUTH is that life is not over just because a person leaves it. The TRUTH is there is much Joy, Peace, and Love for you to experience. The TRUTH is God does not want any person becoming an idol in your life. If your happiness is dependent on a human---then you are setting yourself up for constant unhappiness. People will let you down. People will leave. People will not feel the same as you. So does life end because of that? NO WAY! Pick yourself up and dust yourself off and tell yourself that you are not allowed to be depressed!

As far as feeling far away from God, there is GOOD NEWS for you. God has not left you! There is a great joy in repentance! As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. If you are hurt---give God the opportunity to heal you! God is looking forward to taking that number one spot in your life! And He is full of mercy and grace for you. Don't worry if you feel defeated right now----God is good at turning that around. So let Him turn it around for ya! Make the decision that you will be a joyful person today. One of the best ways to be a joyful person is to get your eyes off of you and help someone else.

We all get into situations where we feel we are lost. No worries---there is a great God who knows exactly where you are and knows exactly how to get you out of it!

negative talk gets you no where, learn to welcome what God is doing in your life by accepting the misfortunes He brings to your life, yes they are painful and you will never get better if you only pursue a life that is easier. You both need time to grow. I have learned things under harsh conditions,,as in patience--its developed in desperate times. Endurance occurs in long time of pain and hardships in life. Let God restore your life to a wholeness. He is your Healer and your Comforter. Praise and worship Him with your whole heart.

blessings,

Poke,

It is good to grieve and get rid of all the negative. You have a perfect opportunity now to stand on your own and be the man Christ wants you to be - Give God your pain - He knows what is in your heart...

Lamentations 3:32

Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.

God is always with you - you feel pain now, but you'll feel joy again. Draw close to The Lord and He will bring you comfort. Love you, Poke!

I think you have answered your own question.

You were putting Sarah first, before God. You went to Sarah for comfort instead of God.

A painful lesson for sure, but would God bother to do so, if He didn't care for and love you.

You have been made to see the error of your ways, now is the time to commune with prayer and reading the scriptures, stay quiet and listen, seeking to be taught instead of teaching.

You have been humbled, be blessed and learn from it.

I'm struggling bad. This break-up has really gotten to me. I'm in a fog and I've never felt so far from God. I'm reverting back to self-destructive habits and depression in a hurry. It seems to me that I never really genuinely followed God in the first place. As soon as Sara was removed from the picture, I lost my companion and follower. I tried to stand tall and be godly to lead her in the right way and now that she's off on her own, I just lost it. Everything is foggy and I can't see happiness or a point to life. It's like I based my salvation on Sara instead of Christ. I thought I was a genuine believer. I know all the right answers but whenever I get down and especially now more than ever I hide myself away instead of going to God. I think I used to go to Sara when I wanted comfort. What's wrong with me.

I think that the fact you are now examining your own motives is a good thing. You're not the only one who has gone thru what you are going thru right now. Two years ago, I met a wonderful man who had gone thru a lot in life and was returning to Jesus. We would spend hours chatting and I would share Bible verses to him, and he would share to me the things God was showing him everyday. I thought it was a wonderful relationship, and eventually I had romantic thoughts. So did he.

When God took him away, I was really hurt. But then I realized that God was showing me what my real motives were. I could last a day without spending some quiet time with God but couldn't last the day without talking to this guy.

I don't communicate with this person anymore. I believe I've served the purpose God had for me in his life. Knowing that God does not withhold anything good from His children, I eventually let go, but after much pain and tears. I do pray for him still, that God will just draw him nearer to Him every single day.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
