Where do you go?

What scripture do you go to when you just want to sit for a while...

not ask for anything in prayer

not ask for understanding of the great mysteries

but just to sit, and enjoy His presence?

Psalm 46 (NASB)

1God is our (A)refuge and strength,

A very (B)present help ©in trouble.

2Therefore we will (D)not fear, though (E)the earth should change

And though (F)the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;

3Though its (G)waters roar and foam,

Psalm 139 is one of my favorite psalms.

Psalm 139

1 O LORD, you have searched me

and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise;

you perceive my thoughts from afar.

3 You discern my going out and my lying down;

you are familiar with all my ways.

4 Before a word is on my tongue

you know it completely, O LORD.

To me... This Scripture has always brought me the reminder of what life is all about - It eases my heart and reminds me of what a gift Love is.

1 Corinthians 13

Love

1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I remember the first part of this verse and just sit ... He makes Himself known through His creation.

Psalm 46:10

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Isa 40:1 Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
