Fez - are you going to check with the bank

Posted
If you were in desperate need of money and found a purse or wallet full of cash and information that stated who the money belonged too,

Fez had no such information.

No such information? What do you call this?

So what now? Only one other bank in town.......Off to the other bank

FYI, I'm not shocked by a miracle. I've seen miracles and this isn't even close.

 Well goody for you.

Next you're going to tell me that you are not susceptible to pride, right?

I don't see where pride plays a part in any of this.

Money can cause a person to stumble in many ways. I can't see God giving somebody something that could quite possibly cause them to stumble.

Come on - Jesus told Peter to get a coin out of a fish's mouth.

Or do you believe that if it was God, they'd just show up one day at the property and an house would be there where there was not one before?

How else cold they build a house?

How did they obtain the property?

It's a really sad situation and what's even sadder, is that people are giving him a  and telling him to go for it.

So tell me, man - what are you doing to minister directly to the poor and needy?

I don't take things that don't belong to me and give it to someone else. I earn what I give.

Yet you will sit there behind your cushy computer and judge a brother who is putting his life on the life for the sake of Christ and His people?

I've told you this before but I'll say it again just in case you forgot..........I don't take guilt trips.

I'm not judging him. I don't have too. He came right out and admitted what he did.

I don't know what it says in your bible, but in mine it states that you don't take things that don't belong to you.

Maybe you should just let this go because you're making this a lot worst than it is.

I can't believe I'm having to sit here and defend the Word from people who should know it. That just floors me.

Fez, a few concerns leap into my mind -

Were you praying for extra funds for the building materials and if so were you specific?

Another thing that I have found in my personal walk with the Lord is this - when the Lord's Hand moves - there is no doubt.

If I hadn't been praying for extra funds or a particular amount and another cash amount came out of the ATM that I had not keyed in - I would check with the bank.

I'm just imagining how damaging it would be to his witness if it is later found out to be an error. You don't want to be known as a theif.

As far as I am concerned, I have not questioned your walk with Christ, your ministry or anything else but you keeping the money. That is the matter at hand, nothing else. As I said, if it is of God, then the bank will have no account. If there is no money missing then there is nothing you have to return. If the money is missing, then is it really from Him for you to keep?

I pray His will in your ministry for Him.

God Bless,

Alan

Fez, I am not questioning your salvation, but whether or not this was a miracle from God or a clerical error from the bank. You have nothing to fear by checking with the bank.

blessings andy,

fez answered that question on post # 9 and on this one as well:

I am not going to get into a long and protracted fight over this. I said in the beginning I was confused about what happened, I don't know what happened, more has happened since, but that would just be opening another door on being judged. And the caution that I feel is this:-

My card reappearing? Miracle? I can't figure out what else it could be. I know what I saw, I know what my brother saw, and now I question that if I question the fact and look for rational explanation (which I cannot find), am I doubting Jesus. And that dishonors Him and denigrates my faith. I feel His hand on this, I feel His hand on what we are doing, I have never felt anything this strongly in my life. He is with us.

If I accept the above as a miracle, why not the fact that He sent the money, and it has nothing to do with the bank, or me? See my dilemma?

And as to the paying back of the money, if that is to be the case it is a non issue. I will pay it back with gladness, and then chose to believe that the hand of the Lord was in this anyway, and that it was His way of saying, enough, get this house built, I want you here sooner than later. So that is why I say I will wait and see if the statement arrives before the end of the month. For two reasons. One is that it might take that much time, and two is that it is only possible to get back to Mozambique for me at the end of the month.

love your sister in Christ,

Rebekah David

And again, by questioning where the money came from, I refer you to my thoughts in para two of this post. Again the dilemma.

This is not about the money, it is only money! It is a means to an end, and nothing more.

I believe in the God of miracles, I believe in a God through which anything is possible, and I serve Him in whatever way He asks. I don't then go and steal money, defraud a bank, conjure up credit cards using magic, or through wishful thinking and forlorn hope, expect manna to fall. We have been working and praying in Mozambique for 10 years, we know God is with us, for no one has been able to come against us. Think I'm going to destroy all that over mere money?

If this was a miracle (and forgive me Lord my doubts), thank you Jesus. If it was not He will make it known, and restitution will take place! In the meantime I await under His grace and favor, and continue down the path He has set before us there.

And what is to redeem Onelight, if this is a miracle? You and I obviously have a different take on what God is capable of? God knows my heart in this, and it does not need redeeming, it will follow, as it has for 10 years, the Word of the Lord. When He speaks, you will be the first to know, and speak He will.

Thank-you for sharing your testimony, Fez.

That is so awesome to be used of the Lord like that.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
