Since the "regular" churches will not treat them with anything but contempt, where else can they go to be with the ONE they need to save them? None of which is the point.

It is exactly what the OP is about, they don't want you and I telling them the Truth even in Love because it isn't suitable to their ears. The OP made mention of the signs they were carrying which were stating, "Stop Religious Bigotry and Hatred now!"

So according to you because Christians condemn them they have the right to go outside of the Word of God and start their own exclusively Homosexual Churches which deny the Word of God?

Please explain that Biblically with Scripture and justify this action.

Seems to me that if their eyes are blinded and ears are blocked, then our attempts to reach out to them in the fullness of truth and grace just gives them more fodder?

That was never my intent. They need to hear the Truth.

Before the thread was hijacked the intent was to ask a question about what this portends for us Christians in this Nation, not the opposite.

If they stop up their ears and are blinded they are left with nothing else but our witness, which is God's witness, and the condemnation of God. I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable but some folks just won't listen. Even the Lord knew this. It also doesn't mean that we stop loving them but the fault does not lie with the Church.

I will stick to what I stated. They carry those signs as a result of their perception of how the Christian community has treated them. Since perception is reallity, it would seem you would seek to know why they perceive things to be so. As for me, I have spent enough time with members of the homosexual community to know why they carry those signs. I have seen enough from SOME Christians to know why they look upon all us us with distrust.

You are 100% wrong. They are carrying those signs because they do not want their aberrant life style condemned in any way. Distrust has nothing to do with it. They want absolutely nothing negative said about their life style. Period. It is not about the right to marry and never has been. It is all about stamping out any dissent. The signs don't say "Treat us with respect." They said "Stop religious intolerance." To translate the sign for you, that means "Don't tell me that what I do is a sin."

The attitude you display will certainly not move them towards any kind of conviction, rules out any kind of discipline, and in reality, what you are doing is respecting and loving them right into hell. Do you just allow your child to do whatever they want? Did God allow Israel to worship idols, or did He discipline them for their poor choices? The concept of just letting people who sin to continue sinning and say nothing is found nowhere in the Bible.

There is no reason to allow gays to marry, unless you would like to bring even more judgement down on this nation than what is already headed our way. We already have plenty to answer for, and you would seem to like to add more. Rampant homosexuallity is one of the marks of a society in rapid decline.

This nation is already lost. Read the book. It tells you where we are headed.

I do not care about saving a nation. I care about saving individuals and sinners. I know that the spread of the gospel is the only way to save the nation. Laws and public condemnation is just white washing the tomb. It is still full of dead man's bones. Laws do not save souls. Discrimination does not further the gospel. Satan thrives in an environment of intolerence.

I assume from your statement that I am 100% wrong and my approach will not save any souls, that you have spent a lot of time with members of the homosexual community. Tell me, what approach have you found that has saved souls?

I meant the "detriment" of preaching the Truth and being seriously persecuted to the point of death.

I really believe that worshipping in community Church buildings will soon be a thing of the past and Believers will be gathering in homes because of persecution from the general public -

What I have read in this thread is that there are people who would rather stand in condemnation of sinners than try to break down the barriers that have resulted in signs decrying us as hateful and intolerent.

It seems that there are many who feel they have removed the beam from their own eye. I do not feel that way about me. I am far from the perfection of JESUS and as such I can not stand and point fingers at others who are far from that perfection.

It is my opinion that the greater sin lies with those who have built the barriers between sinner and savior than with the sinners who are trapped in sin and can not know any better.

Since I seem to be the minority here, I am ready to bow out of the conversation.

Yeah

And the metropolitan church is here now too. This "church" contributed a key speaker to support the august gay marriage rights rally here. They stirred up ire against the true church.
