Grant Jeffries claims that Hussein has restored the ancient city of Babylon. I can't find anything on it. If true, why has it not been all over the news? I was actually watching something either on CNN or Fox from a telecast from Babylon. It's definitely something to keep in mind in the future for sure. He also showed pictures of it on TBN. I think that this has a very excellent chance of being the next fulfilled prophecy. Babylon was destroyed about 2600 years ago, by the Medo-Persians, but I believe that there is evidence of Babylon being rebuilt in the scriptures. If you read Jeremiah 50: 3, you can see the prophecy was already fulfilled by a single nation. But you can see Phase II in Jeremiah 50: 9. Where an (alliance of great nations) attack from the north. In 1991, Bush Sr. invaded Bagdad, but this attack was from the south, from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. So this prophecy is still to be fulfilled. I believe that the coalition of nations that are currently fighting this global war against terror, will also attack Iraq, and even Babylon this next time. Turkey has taken our side in the war against terror, and I think it is very possible that Turkey will let the coalition base and attack from the north in Turkey. The what was it the gate of Ishtar has been partially restored, but now Saddam is asking other countries to return pieces of the old Babylon to Iraq, he wants to replace the original as much as he can. I believe the rest of the gate of Ishtar is in Germany in a museum. I don't remember where all of it is scattered. Anyway they have even resumed some of the pagan festival there.
